About the role
This is a newly redesigned role created following a review of Robin Cancer Trust's support services.
The Community & Support Lead will play a key role in ensuring that people affected by testicular and ovarian germ cell cancers can access compassionate support, trusted information, meaningful connections and opportunities to shape our future work.
We particularly welcome applications from nurses and other healthcare professionals who may be looking for a career change, greater flexibility, or an opportunity to use their skills in a non-clinical setting. Whilst this is not a clinical position and does not involve providing medical advice, your understanding of the patient experience, treatment pathways and the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis would help us deliver high-quality, person-centred support to our community.

Job Purpose:
The Community & Support Lead will act as the primary point of contact for Robin Cancer Trust's support services and community activity.
The role will lead the development and delivery of our support offer, including patient enquiries, community engagement, signposting, Thriver Packs, WhatsApp communities, lived experience involvement and service development.

Key Responsibilities:
Community Support
- Respond to support enquiries from patients, families and supporters.

- Signpost individuals to relevant organisations, services and resources.

Community Development
- Lead and develop the Thriver Community.
- Manage and moderate Robin Cancer Trust's WhatsApp communities.
- Build meaningful relationships with people affected by cancer.

- Recruit, engage and support community volunteers.
Service Development
- Identify gaps, opportunities and emerging community needs.
- Support the development of new support services and wellbeing initiatives.
- Build relationships with charities, healthcare professionals and support organisations.
- Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of services.
Governance & Administration
- Coordinate Medical Advisory Board meetings and actions.
- Maintain support service reporting and records.
- Support safeguarding processes and escalation pathways.

Responsible for
- Championing and quality assuring our theory of change, ensuring that programmes are designed with impact at the centre and within the frameworks that will give us the most robust data sets
- Quantitative data analysis for individual programmes and our portfolio of mentoring programmes as a whole, clearly presenting our impact against our outcomes
- Qualitative data analysis of mentoring messages, written feedback and focus groups/1:1 interviews
- Producing high quality evaluation reports for individual programmes, including recommendations for future iterations
- Producing organisational impact reports and blogs/posts, to present our impact to external audiences
- Creating and maintaining PowerBI dashboards to present live impact data
- Proofing and testing baseline and exit surveys to ensure accuracy of questions and survey logic across our portfolio
- Overseeing our data collection tools and upskilling the team to use them effectively/accurately
- Overseeing our external communications to ensure regular sharing of case studies and impact stories through our comms and marketing (social media, newsletters etc.)

About This Job
This is an exciting training role in Army Cadet Headquarters responsible for the governance of risk in the Army Cadets.
In this critical organisational safety role, you will both generate medical risk assessments and assure those generated by others. You will ensure appropriate medical governance and compliance processes are in place, including identifying organisational clinical risks and recommending appropriate policies. You will oversee incident reporting and trend analysis to support continuous improvement. This will include developing systems and reporting frameworks to provide a clear understanding of the organisation’s medical risk profile and supporting the volunteer team delivering advanced skills training to highly qualified first aiders.

Manchester Central Foodbank is a busy Trussell Trust-affiliated food bank, with centres in Central, North, and East Manchester. We were established in Ardwick in 2013 by students at the Manchester Universities’ Catholic Chaplaincy, making us the first student-led food bank in the country. Since then we have grown significantly, expanding our weekly sessions into Harpurhey and Openshaw.
Our core aims are to deliver the best quality support that we can to the largest number of our neighbours in need, while working with partners and influencing and organising at a neighbourhood and citywide level to reduce and end the need for food banks in Manchester.
We currently support 16,000 people per year with nutritionally balanced 3-day food parcels. This is double the number of people we supported in the first year following the Covid-19 pandemic, and four times the number supported in 2019. We also provide financial inclusion support with advice workers in public sessions, access to energy vouchers, SIM cards, and other voucher or material support. We coordinate across a network of 200 active front-line referral agencies with the aim of ensuring everyone who accesses our service has appropriate, specialised, and ongoing support alongside the material provision that we provide.
We are active leaders in anti-poverty organising and community development, as convenors of the city-wide Building an Anti-Poverty Community collective and aim to be key shapers and influencers of new strategies and policies, working closely to support and influence local government, NHS, education, and research agendas in Manchester and more widely, building upon our track record of successful anti-poverty partnership work, social value impact, and Parliamentary influencing.
Key Responsibilities
Our Operations and Projects Workers are the backbone of our charity. They play a key role in the day-to-day running of operations, from frontline and client-facing work to recruiting, supervising, and supporting volunteers, assisting with stock and logistics activities and deliveries, and leading and supporting a range of projects.
A central part of this diverse, hands-on role is leading and supporting foodbank sessions, with extensive engagement with foodbank clients and primary responsibility for supervising, supporting, and developing volunteers.
The Operations and Projects Workers will help shape and maintain high service standards and embed Our Values at the core of every aspect of the charity’s activity.
On a weekly basis the postholder will work to support the smooth running of three public-facing sessions and the operational activities which underpin them. You will work alongside a team of volunteers and staff
You will be based at our main office and warehouse site, but also regularly attend our three session sites where appropriate and conduct deliveries and collections across the city. Some working from home is allowed with the prior agreement of your manager.
Foodbank Sessions
As part of a pre-planned rota system you will attend foodbank sessions in a variety of roles. All team members are expected to prioritise the creation of a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and friendly space.
In some sessions you will be the nominated Session Lead,
- You will be responsible for health and safety, briefing and de-briefing of volunteers and other staff, safeguarding and incident reporting, and dealing with emergency or difficult situations.
- Session leads take an active role in shaping and maintaining our values-led Service Standards and creating a supportive framework for other team members, ensuring all frontline service meets those expectations.
- You will ensure consistent and rigorous monitoring and reporting from sessions, including volunteer registration, stock management, logging and escalation of issues and concerns, also well as consistent reporting on service provision.
- Session Leads will act as the primary liaison and coordination point on the day with advice providers and financial inclusion workers
- They will also be the lead contact point on a session day liaising with host sites and reception staff and other session partner organisations.
- Before, during, and after sessions, the Session Lead will monitor stock levels and ensure packing, loading, and unloading is done safely and consistently.
You may also attend foodbank sessions in a variety of other roles, including, but not limited to:
- Conducting or coordinating one-to-one check-ins and support conversations with clients, responsible for signposting and onwards referrals
- Providing additional support such as energy vouchers, SIM cards, supermarket vouchers, and other provision.
- Delivering and collecting food and other stock and materials to and from session sites and monitoring stock levels.
- Supporting general tasks and activities within sessions, such as packing parcels, referrals check-in, picking lists, or monitoring cafés and adjacent spaces.
General Foodbank Operations
Outside of foodbank sessions, you will lead or support across the broad range of operational and project activities, including:
- Regularly driving the foodbank van and loading and unloading stock and other materials.
- Answering or replying to enquiries from clients, referrers, donors, partners, and other contacts via the main charity phone line and email inboxes.
- Conduct regular office-based administrative, printing, and reporting activities.
- Deputise for senior staff or fill in for other team members where appropriate in day-to-day operational cover and external meetings and relationships, including with foodbank referrers and partner organisations.
- Coordinate and supervise volunteers and logistics around food deliveries, food drives, and food sorting sessions.
- Work and lead on projects to help maintain and increase donation levels.
- In collaboration with other staff, assist volunteer recruitment, training, and development activities.
- Attend and organise meetings and events where required to represent the foodbank or conduct project-related work.
- Undertake training and personal development as appropriate and agreed with your line manager.
The post-holder will be responsible for managing their own workload and time management, completing timesheets and reports for the board.
There may be other project-specific tasks requested from time to time for the benefit of the charity to be discussed and agreed with your line manager.
About you
Essential Experience and Knowledge:
- A full clean driving licence and willing and able to drive a 3.5tn van regularly.
- Experience of working with volunteers.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills in order to coordinate your own workload and schedule, effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Community Support Manager
Reports to: Partnerships Director

Role Purpose
As Community Support Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery of support to HOST’s global community of Hosted Partners (HPs), ensuring a consistent, responsive and values-led service. You’ll oversee Community Support activity, enabling partners to focus on their work by providing clear guidance, reliable processes and effective operational support.
This role sits at the centre of the Community Support team and will involve working alongside the Partnerships Manager: Changemakers to ensure high-quality delivery of our project and fiscal hosting services. You’ll co-manage a small, high-performing team, ensuring strong performance, clear priorities and a supportive team culture. Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the systems, processes and ways of working that underpin Project Hosting, ensuring they are efficient, scalable and responsive to the needs of our Hosted Partners.
Core Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Management
Line manage two Community Support Leads, providing coaching, direction and performance feedback.
Oversee delivery of Community Support activities, including internal team operations, management of SOPs, service delivery consistency, payment operations and risk process administration.
Manage team meeting cadence, objectives and performance tracking.
Manage team workload, priorities and handovers to ensure coordinated day-to-day delivery across Community Support.
Produce weekly highlights reports outlining ongoing tasks, completed objectives and customer service statistics.
2. Systems, Processes and SOPs
Develop and maintain all Community Support standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Maintain and improve workflows in Zendesk, e.g. ticket routing, tagging structure and SLAs.
Maintain oversight of team task management, ensuring tasks are completed within required timeframes.
Ensure consistent data entry standards across systems, e.g. partner records and case logs.
Monitor service standards and turnaround times, spot recurring issues, and drive process improvements for consistent delivery.
3. HOSTHub support
Lead on defining, prioritising and testing HOSTHub features related to Project Hosting, working cross-functionally with the Product Manager to inform development needs and improvements.
Own partner-facing communications on HOSTHub updates, ensuring changes are clearly communicated and well understood by Hosted Partners.
Ensure the voice and needs of Hosted Partners and funders are actively represented in product development, influencing priorities and improvements.
Maintain continuous feedback loops with external users to inform ongoing platform enhancements.
Collaborate with Tech and Operations teams to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and increase automation.
4. Risk and Compliance
Lead the preparation and facilitation of weekly risk meetings, ensuring risks are identified, recorded and escalated in a timely and appropriate manner.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all risk assessments, decisions and resolutions.
Monitor agreed risk mitigation actions, ensuring they are tracked and implemented effectively within agreed timeframes.
Work closely with the Community Support Team to proactively identify emerging risks and regularly review the effectiveness of ongoing mitigation measures.
5. Payment Management
Coordinate internal payment processes, working closely with the Finance team to support efficiency, consistency and automation improvements.
Triage payment issues, coordinate resolution with Finance, and improve workflows to reduce friction for Hosted Partners.
Lead on Project Hosting and payment issue meetings, working closely with the Finance Manager.
Key Relationships

External: Hosted Partners, developers, technical providers and funders.
Required Experience
5+ years' experience in operations, partnerships, or programme delivery within a not-for-profit, social enterprise, or international NGO.
3+ years' experience managing partner or client relationships, ideally across multiple regions or cultures.
2+ years' experience leading and developing a small team, including setting goals, coaching, and performance management.
Confident managing systems, workflows, and digital tools (such as ClickUp, Zendesk, Jotform, or CRM platforms).
Proven ability to coordinate across departments and disciplines to resolve complex partner or client issues.
Experience designing, documenting, and improving organisational processes or SOPs to drive efficiency.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into service or system improvements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent HOST’s tone and values in partner-facing communications.
Demonstrated organisational and problem-solving skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines in fast-moving, distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial
• Deliver or exceed agreed income targets across community and challenge event fundraising activities.
• Manage agreed budgets for community fundraising activities and challenge events, monitoring income and expenditure and ensuring activity is delivered in line with agreed targets and plans.

• Confidently communicate the work of The Pepper Foundation and inspire support through a variety of channels, including informal conversations, networking, presentations, written materials, newsletters and website copy.
• Deliver a high standard of donor and supporter care to maximise fundraising potential and encourage long-term support.
• Contribute ideas and content for promotional materials within agreed budgets and timelines.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to broaden participation in community fundraising and increase supporter engagement across the region.
• Proactively identify, develop and secure new community fundraising opportunities with local schools, groups, businesses and supporters to grow income and broaden engagement.
• Ensure relevant staff and volunteers are well briefed on community fundraising activities.
• Always represent The Pepper Foundation positively and professionally.
• Communicate confidently with a wide range of supporters and stakeholders, handling queries and resolving issues in a calm and professional way.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the fundraising team to ensure community fundraising activity is aligned with the wider fundraising strategy and income goals.
Management
• Recruit, train, support and motivate fundraising volunteers to help deliver community fundraising activities and events.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers and partners, such as venues and event providers, to support successful delivery.
Planning and Organisation
• Develop and deliver activity, stewardship and campaign plans for community and challenge event fundraising within agreed priorities, budgets and income targets.
• Deliver high-quality fundraising events that raise awareness of The Pepper Foundation across Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.
• Use Donorfy, our fundraising CRM, to administer and manage fundraising activity accurately and effectively, working with the Database Volunteer as needed.
• Produce post-event evaluations and recommendations in line with agreed requirements.
• Use insight, pipeline information and performance data to review results, identify trends and recommend improvements to future activity.
• Manage the day-to-day planning and delivery of key events and campaigns, making decisions within agreed plans, budgets and fundraising procedures.
• Take responsibility for health and safety in community fundraising activities, ensuring appropriate risk assessments are completed and relevant fundraising and safety procedures are followed.
• Respond appropriately to unexpected incidents at community fundraising events, following agreed procedures and escalating where needed.
• Take an active role in setting up and clearing down events and community fundraising activities, including periods of standing and occasional unsocial hours.
• Arrange appropriate Pepper Foundation attendance at local community events when needed.
• Manage resources effectively, including volunteer support, to maximise reach, income and engagement.
Reporting
• Produce regular reports on pipeline, activity, outcomes, income performance and learning for the Head of Fundraising, highlighting opportunities, risks and recommendations.

The Bridgend Centre has been providing support to the people of Bollington in Cheshire for 36 years. We are a small, registered charity that supports over 1,250 people every year, particularly those who are experiencing difficulties in life. We are looking for a special person who can take on the role of Fundraising and Communications Manager and support us in our next phase of growth and change.
This is a new post that will be responsible for driving forward both our fundraising and marketing activities, to enable the growth and continuity of the charity’s activities. You will work closely with the Chief Officer and Board of Trustees to increase our income and develop marketing activities to increase the reach and profile of our supporters.
We are looking for a results driven individual with at least two years fundraising experience in a charity of comparable breadth and scope.
