Job Purpose:

Women in Prison’s Project Workers deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending. The primary purpose of this role is to provide in-depth, ongoing support to a caseload of women in the community of Greater Manchester. 

Key Responsibility Areas:

1. Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive support to women in contact with, or at risk of contact with the criminal justice system. 
2. Monitor case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording, aligning with contract KPIs and WIP policies. 
3. Develop and maintain effective partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector services to ensure coordinated, multi-agency support for women. 
4. Contribute to organisational development and personal growth through innovation, self-care, and professional learning.

• Provide recovery-focused, practical support to help young people build resilience, develop coping strategies, and take control of their mental health.

• Work one-to-one with children and young people referred via GP surgeries, helping them identify their needs and set meaningful goals through collaborative support planning.

• Take a holistic, flexible approach, addressing both emotional wellbeing and wider social challenges, while confidently managing risk where needed.

• Connect young people and their families with local services and community support, including Early Help, YES, and other specialist services.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own transport, as the role involves travel across the local area and attendance at team meetings in locations including Durrington and Littlehampton. Mileage is paid for travel beyond your agreed base and there are opportunities to collaborate across West Sussex.

Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop their life skills, which they require to meet their assessed needs. In some cases, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Stella Maris is the official maritime charity of the Catholic Church.  We are looking for a Regional Port Chaplain for Immingham and the South Humber Ports to support seafarers, fishers and their families.

In this unique and rewarding role, you'll be the welcoming face of Stella Maris in your region, visiting ships, listening to crew members, and offering practical, pastoral and spiritual support to anyone in need, regardless of faith or background.

About the role

No two days are the same.  You might spend the morning visiting ships and listening to crew members' stories, help someone contact their family back home, support a seafarer in crisis, or offer a quiet moment of prayer on deck.

You'll also recruit and support a team of volunteers, work closely with other maritime charities and local partners, and build strong relationships with parishes, dioceses, and port authorities.  You'll be part of a nationwide network of Stella Maris chaplains, supported through regular meetings, retreats and professional development opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Visit ships regularly to meet seafarers and fishers, responding to their pastoral, practical and spiritual needs.
• Provide practical help such as transport, communication access, and emergency or crisis support.
• Offer spiritual care to Catholic seafarers and facilitate the religious needs of those from other faiths.
• Recruit, train and support Stella Maris volunteers.
• Work collaboratively with other maritime charities.
• Maintain strong relationships with local parishes, the Diocese of Nottingham, and port stakeholders such as the Harbour Master, shipping agents and welfare committees.

Key Purpose / WHY? 

The Carers Wellbeing Worker will support unpaid carers across Bridgend to establish ‘What Matters’ to them and provide bespoke, person-centred information, advice and guidance to those accessing our services, including, one 2 one support, group work and activities, as well as signposting and referring to relevant agencies for additional support including working with the unpaid carer to complete a proportionate carers assessment to help them on their caring journey. 

Working with the senior Carers Wellbeing worker to develop and deliver of a targeted outreach support programme, building on existing partnership working and connecting carers to community resources, preventing the need for escalation to statutory services. 

Key Responsibilities / WHAT? 

• To be the key contact for all enquiries around the Bridged Carers Wellbeing Service, including monitoring referrals, Bridgend Carers Wellbeing inbox, telephone or online enquiries and referrals through WCCIS. 

• To identify, engage with and support individuals who may be in an informal unpaid caring role including carers from seldom heard groups. 

• To work with unpaid carers and assist them to articulate ‘what matters to them’, their desired outcomes and signpost / refer individuals to relevant support service to enable them to achieve those outcomes within their own communities. 

• Undertaking proportionate carers assessments and reviews – identifying areas of need or change and producing support plans, to achieve outcomes that support the carer to become self-reliant and build a network of support. 

• To deliver a regular programme of outreach and engagement events, taking Bridgend Carers Wellbeing services into the community and working in partnership with carers support services. Feeding back suggestions and ideas to the Senior Carers Wellbeing worker to support development of targeted outreach across Bridgend. 

• To work with key stakeholders including Bridgend Council, Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, Third Sector, and other external organisations across Bridgend, in a professional manner. 

• Accurate and timely recording and reporting on CRM to support with monitoring requirements.

• The post holder will be expected to be flexible, responsive to change and can organise their own workload daily and to support the demands imposed by the service.

Our Peer Support Service started 14 years ago, Since then, we have seen our service grow and we now offer Peer Support across the whole of Hertfordshire.

About the Role

Working with the team to offer 1-1 peer support to anyone accessing HMN. The Peer Support service provide tailored support for individuals to support their needs. This includes using different tools and techniques to help an individual improve areas of their life they may be struggling with. Having a lived experience of mental health issues or supporting someone who has is a key element to what makes this service so unique.

The Peer Support approach includes empathy, warmth, acceptance, authenticity and compassion. Peer Support is based on the recognition that there is no better person to support the path towards recovery, than someone who has walked a similar path as that person.

To meet client needs, and work to this personalised approach, we do support people out in the community, within their home, as well as in one of our Wellbeing Centres.

The successful candidate will need a personal understanding of mental ill health, either from your own lived experience or by caring for someone with a mental health condition and have awareness of issues in mental health service provision.

Peer Support Workers will also provide support within our Peer Support Groups, Peer Support Learning Sets and Peer Support Academy when needed.

About the role

In this role we will trust you to work with other team members on a caseload of clients delivering personalised support to them. You will proactively engage with our clients and provide a hand so they can overcome barriers, move into independent living and sustain a tenancy. Our clients have a range of support needs that impact their experience of homelessness. This includes mental health problems, social isolation, challenging behaviour, finance and debt, alcohol and drug abuse. You will deliver structured support and do some risk management so we will trust you to keep proper records and complete some admin tasks. This includes, reviewing support and risk plans, involving key stakeholders where required, showing and signposting our clients to appropriate external support and services, following safeguarding procedures, do some cleaning and contribute to the delivery of a housing management service including collecting income. Main Responsibilities Of The Role:

· Ensure the effective delivery of high quality care, support and housing management according to Homeless Oxfordshire policies and procedures.

JOB PURPOSE

This role sits within The Passage Housing Needs Service (HNS) team. It will provide brief interventions to support individuals who have been placed into accommodation by the HNS team to settle into and sustain their tenancies. The post holder will work holistically to assist individuals to address issues that are impacting on their ability to sustain their accommodation on a time limited basis and will link them into services in their local areas for ongoing support in order for them to gain independence and integrate into their new communities.

MAIN TASKS

• To provide support to individuals who are moving into their new private rented sector accommodation where appropriate and needed. This can include setting up utilities, council tax among other things.
• To support individuals accommodated by the HNS team, in a brief solution focused manner, to find solutions to their housing, benefits, health and other issues when they arise, referring clients to support services, liaising with these, and following up in a timely manner.
• To establish and develop positive and constructive working relationships with a range of services and agencies across London boroughs that can provide support to our clients ensuring the best possible outcomes for them.
• To draw up psychologically informed action plans for clients ensuring they are person centered and taking into consideration the clients’ views.
• Support HNS Workers to complete exit questionnaires to gather feedback and promote co production with the individuals the team supports.
• To ensure that any health and safety and safeguarding concerns are reported appropriately using the correct systems.
• To assess any risk to clients, the environment and staff, record and communicate any risks identified using appropriate channels in the Passage.
