As our Engagement Manager, you will directly support people aged 16+ who may have complex and challenging barriers preventing them from securing a positive pathway.The role will include identifying barriers and helping to build the tools needed to remove them. You will identify, develop, and manage partnerships with charitable and not-for-profit organisations across Aberdeenshire, building an effective presence within the third sector locally.You will create diverse, high-quality, structured volunteering opportunities with charity partner organisations, ensuring that volunteering roles reflect the needs and interests of those we support.You will also support the creation of strong referral pathways into our service, and beyond it, building on a knowledge of existing provision. Key Duties Responsibilities 

To engage directly with people 16+ to understand their wants, needs and aspirations and determine the best opportunity for each person and provide the support they need in advance of volunteering. 

To support on a 1:1 basis, in person or digitally with the volunteer to create an action plan. 

To work in partnership with All-in-Aberdeenshire consortium to achieve outcomes. 

To develop and maintain good relationships with referral partners such as The Council, DWP, SDS etc to ensure a steady stream of referrals are received. 

To Liaise with referral sources, regarding new and existing referrals. 

To identify, create and develop relationships with new charity partners or agencies to provide bespoke and tailored volunteering opportunities.These opportunities will help the individuals supported to gain experience, confidence and support them on route to a positive destination. 

To manage the risk assessment, quality assurance, and audit processes as appropriate. 

Ensure monitoring, impact and evaluation of information and data is collected and that the project meets its agreed targets, reporting format and schedule.Assist the Delivery Leader by preparing reports to funders. 

To ensure all the above is done with excellent record keeping, in accordance with compliance requirements.

At Bluebell Wood, our vision is for every baby, child and young person with a life-limiting condition to access specialist palliative care, wherever and whenever they need it. Every role here plays a part in making that happen.
Our support is wide-ranging and tailored to every family. From symptom management and short breaks to counselling, sibling support, music therapy, home visits and end-of-life care, we provide expert care when and where it matters most.

The role:
In this role, you’ll lead the development of individual giving and legacy income — attracting new supporters, deepening relationships, building strong pipelines and creating journeys that grow long-term value and loyalty.
Using data, insight and creativity, you’ll shape and deliver campaigns, strengthen regular giving and build awareness of legacy giving in ways that feel personal, relevant and impactful - driving the income that ensures more children and families can access the care they need.

What you’ll do

Strategic Planning

• Develop and implement a growth strategy for Regular Giving, including acquisition, retention, upgrade pathways, and mid-level donor development.
• Lead on the development and effective delivery of legacy messaging across channels, ensuring consistent and inspiring communication that builds awareness and drives pledges.

To deliver the Day One Casework bedside model to patients, or those closest to them, impacted by serious or multiple injuries which could result in life changing consequences, such as disability or death, within the Royal Victoria Infirmary, providing support on some of the wards (such as rehabilitation), on-site clinics and other settings (e.g. rehabilitation centres). 

Have a visible physical presence within the Trust, becoming embedded into clinical teams focussing on major trauma pathways, facilitating outpatient and in-person legal clinics.

To work closely with those impacted by serious and life-changing injury, taking referrals and carrying out initial assessments of need, expertly navigating, signposting and putting services in place in the immediate aftermath of major 

trauma, including talking about and facilitating timely access to legal support to aid rehabilitation.

To establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders to promote Day One and address the needs of those affected by serious and life-changing injury. 

To work as part of the wider Day One Service’s team and organisation, taking responsibility for own record keeping and data collection in line with regulatory requirements.

The post holder’s primary duties and responsibilities are as follows: 

• Work closely, and in partnership, with NHS clinical staff and relevant community and voluntary sector organisations, to address the needs of patients, and those closest to them, affected by serious and life-changing injury. 

• Operate a case management approach to individuals, assessing and identifying needs, putting support in place including signposting, making referrals and direct support. 

• Provide consistency in assessment of all patients and their loved ones, irrespective of injury cause, age, status, giving access to the earliest possible specialist legal advice which supports rehabilitation and NHS cost recovery. 

• Maintain detailed case records, including accurate records of activity and intervention, using Day One’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, capturing and storing data in line with Day One policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. 

• Contributing towards report writing through the writing case studies and narrative to support data collection. 

• Implement processes and procedures to collect patient and family feedback and contribute to ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Day One services through providing relevant information, case studies and reports. 

• Deliver awareness raising presentations to clinical colleagues and departments. 

• Organise and facilitate outpatient and in person legal clinic drop-in sessions. 

• Build awareness of the role and charity’s purpose through building strong and effective relationships across the regional major trauma network, ensuring those who need it have access to Day One support. 

• Work closely with local authority, statutory and voluntary organisations to provide patient and family support and advocacy. 

• Help establish other support mechanisms once a person is no longer within the hospital setting, supporting the patient discharge process in conjunction with leadership from NHS staff. 

• Identify and support the recruitment and supervision of Day One volunteers, where appropriate. 

• Work closely in partnership with our Peer Support Service, focussed on promoting awareness and uptake within the region. 

• Work closely with the wider team on performance, quality, safety and effectiveness of all services, ensuring appropriate safeguarding policies are followed. 

• Work closely with our Fundraising and Communications team, supporting national activity, as well as regional initiatives to raise awareness and fundraise. 

• Be prepared to travel across the region and, on occasion, to other sites and national meetings as required. 

• Willingness to undertake continuous development and training for the role, including mandatory Day One and NHS Trust specific training.

The Learning & Development Officer is responsible for working closely with the Director of People & Organisational Development in supporting the design, delivery and development of the education and training across the hospice group.

They will coordinate and organise all in house and external training programmes, maintain accurate records, monitor compliance and support a learning culture across St Giles. They will provide full support for preparing documentation, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and deadlines are met.

Additional responsibilities include assisting with delivering learning sessions, handling and dealing with all requests that come through the L&D department, supporting with data, audit, evaluations and coordinating all invoices.

They will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth, efficient delivery of St Giles learning and development initiatives to ensure we remain compliant through regulatory standards and frameworks.

The role will also maintain effective working relationships across the hospice to support efficient service delivery.

The role

We have a vacancy in the South & Southwest Region for a Regional Administrator, 28 hours per week. You will be joining a dedicated and friendly team of regional staff and volunteers. This is a fixed term post, initially for one year. The postholder will ensure smooth running of regional administration and carry out administrative duties as required by the region. They will support direct service delivery and volunteers across a number of branches to deliver services in line with Cruse standards, policies and procedures

Every day, elderly and vulnerable residents across the Arun District rely on Arun Community Transport to get to their doctors, hospitals and social activities. For many of them, our volunteer drivers are more than transport, they are a lifeline.​

We are looking for a Service Manager to take overall operational responsibility for our busy office and the service that makes this possible every morning. This is a hands-on, varied role with genuine community impact. You will oversee our booking and transport management system, ensure vehicles and drivers are safe and compliant, look after our members and their experience of the service, and lead a small, dedicated team of paid staff and volunteers.​

No two days are alike. You will need to be organised, calm under pressure and someone who genuinely cares about the work we do. In return you will join a passionate, community-rooted organisation and play a central role in keeping it running.​

We are seeking a talented Management Accountant to join our small, collaborative finance team on a permanent, part-time basis. About the role

You will produce accurate monthly management accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide clear financial analysis. Purpose of the Role

The role of the Project Officer – Legal Services (POLS) is to support the PBLS team’s mission to advance the UN SDGs by brokering pro bono legal assistance from legal experts in support of international NGOs globally. The POLS will do this by coordinating the internal processes for project sourcing, scoping and allocating, and utilising legal expertise within these processes and when providing external training and communications.

A key focus of this role is to source and scope out the weekly pro bono projects and forms. The POLS will also engage law firms and other legal stakeholders, conduct due diligence, allocate projects, maintain project records, gather feedback, prepare internal reports and external communications and undertake other administrative tasks as necessary (e.g. updating software and implementing process changes). Broker Service And Operational Responsibilities

The POLS is responsible for supporting PBLS and undertaking relevant responsibilities and duties, including:

• Sourcing, scoping and allocating pro bono legal projects between international development partners and legal partners efficiently and in required timescales.
• Quality assurance of projects and deliverables to ensure stakeholder needs are met. This includes establishing and delivering on internal reporting protocols, narrative reports, high-quality data gathering, and any other required external documentation.
• Managing feedback and progress reviews in relation to A4ID project stakeholders.
• Coordinating learning, thought leadership and training outputs and activities bilaterally between legal and development experts, including briefings, publications, training and learning events, particularly those with a legal focus.
• Working with the CSO Officer on direct outreach for building new partnerships with Development Organisations (NGOs and CSOs).
• Supporting PBSL in managing A4ID’s existing network of legal experts, and expanding the network by engaging with new legal experts.
• Assisting with trialing online pro bono platforms, such as Paladin and Justice Connect.
• Coordinating recruitment, line management and training of volunteers.
• Supporting PBSL with other internal processes to advance the mission of A4ID, as needed.

Marketing & Events

The POLS will support relevant marketing activities related to PBLS. This includes:

• Representing A4ID and increasing visibility of PBLS services at events related to legal pro bono at UK, regional and international levels.  
• Developing relevant external communications and material for social media and newsletters, particularly those with a legal focus.
• Drafting case studies and develop-related external communications (e.g. presentations, website articles and social media posts).

Fundraising and Income Generation

The PBLO will support relevant business development activities related to PBLS including:

• Draft and scope relevant applications and proposals (identified trusts, foundation or institutions).
• Support and provide input into income generation activities/proposal development for existing and new  pro bono products, services, and projects.
• Maintain and develop relationships with contributing legal partners, including participating in regular account management meetings to manage relationships.
• As needed, work across departments/teams support and contribute to overall fundraising and proposals, in line with the organisational strategy.
• Support assessments and mapping of potential funding sources, e.g. trusts, foundations or institutional funding.
• Conduct due diligence and onboarding of any potential new Legal Partners.
• Support and deliver other tasks as required by PBSL.

 Person Specification

• Law degree (in any jurisdiction).
• Four years of experience working in a legal setting, including law firms or legal charities.
• Strong experience of working independently and delivering tasks in a timely manner.
• Previous brokerage experience (ideally in a legal environment).
• Excellent outreach and engagement skills.
• Excellent relevant IT skills, such as a working knowledge of project management systems, CRMs and cloud-based systems (such as MS Office 365, Salesforce, Asana).

Role Description 

Volunteering Matters Brighter Futures CEC works with pupils (aged 12-18) who are care experienced or on the edge of care across the City of Edinburgh.

The project has two parts, one is to work one to one with the young people referred to the project, supporting them to experience a volunteering placement with local charitable organisations that will build their confidence and allow them to grow and learn new things in a different environment out with school.  

The second part is our group work, the Youth Engagement Manager will be responsible for up to 7 small groups within schools across Edinburgh.The Youth Engagement Manager supports the young people engaged in the groups to develop and deliver a Youth Social Action project within their community.

We’re looking for a patient and engaging Youth Engagement Manager to join the Brighter Futures team in Edinburgh.   The right candidate would be someone who can work flexibly and demonstrate an understanding and total commitment to our organisational values and strategy.  
   
 Due to the nature of this role and the needs of the young people we support, including the requirement to provide appropriate support and engagement for young males with complex experiences, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the postholder to be male under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Job purpose:

The Ipswich Project Manager is the primary people and operational leader for delivery staff within the Ipswich Social Action team, part of the wider social action portfolio at Volunteering Matters. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery of social action programmes in the Ipswich area that enable individuals and communities to speak up, influence change, and take collective action on issues that matter to them. 

This is a time limited role with a strong emphasis on establishing new project delivery and maintaining and developing existing delivery and practice within the team. This will involve building a clear understanding of new and existing delivery models, supporting the integration of staff and projects into the new programme delivery, and identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities to develop further prospective delivery going forward. A key part of the role will be identifying opportunities to integrate all local activity into the#iwill Movement Town of Social Action work, and maximising opportunities to develop social action across all age groups. The postholder will also work closely with local funders and delivery partners to ensure they are fully engaged and involved in local program planning and delivery.

The role does not hold direct budget responsibility or lead a single programme. Many roles at The Children’s Trust are exempt from the provisions of Section 4 (2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, by virtue of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013 and 2020) and as such, are subject to an Enhanced DBS check.  Successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, which will disclose all unspent convictions and adult cautions and any spent convictions or adult cautions that would not be protected.  The exceptions to this are our retail roles within The Children’s Trust shops, which are subject to Basic DBS checks which will disclose unspent convictions or adult cautions.

Online Searches

In accordance with statutory safeguarding and child protection guidance, online searches will be conducted for shortlisted candidates before interview. The online searches will be conducted by a person who is independent of the interview and selection process and will focus on relevant information returned via searches of the candidate’s name (and variations thereof). Social media searches will be limited to professional platforms such as LinkedIn. Any concerns relating to suitability for work with children and young people will be forwarded to the interview panel, for discussion during the interview.
