The role
The Domestic Abuse Team Service Manager will act as a lead professional for Talk, Listen, Change in Manchester and Greater Manchester. This role will be to lead a diverse team of Adult / Children & Young People’s Practitioners to continue the development of a range of domestic abuse services including those focused on prevention, early intervention, behaviour change, services for victims, perpetrators and children and young people. Additionally, the role will involve building key relationships with partner agencies, local authorities and commissioners and managing contracts.
Services include:
Direct Line Management: 6 to 12 staff, including team leads.

You will be a passionate advocate for the role of perpetrator, Victim survivors and Children’s and Young People’s interventions. You will also have extensive knowledge of Safeguarding and experience of managing Safeguarding issues. Provide strong, inspirational leadership and management of all services including the provision of all line management duties for direct reports (regular one-to-ones, performance appraisals, team meetings, sickness and performance management).

AAFDA is currently funded by statutory bodies, trusts and foundations, corporates, events and individuals. We are looking for a Domestic Abuse Support Worker - Thriving Families, to deliver tailored DA support interventions within a muti-disciplinary team.
The role
This role will work collaboratively within Manchester City Council's multi-disciplinary Thriving Families Team to support adult victims/survivors of domestic abuse within families where there are safeguarding concerns. The services are being provided in a variety of ways including through Casework, IDSVA, and MARAC. In this vital role, you will manage incoming referrals, liaise with partner agencies, provide compassionate short‑term support via our phone line, and ensure accurate case management across our systems. You'll also deliver domestic abuse awareness workshops, develop culturally sensitive resources, and build strong relationships with local community organisations to improve early intervention pathways. Project Overview
Anchor & Bloom is a community-based programme delivered by ARCC to support women from Asian and minoritised communities who have experienced domestic abuse and related trauma. The project recognises that many women face barriers to accessing mainstream services due to stigma, language, cultural expectations and fear of judgement. Anchor & Bloom creates safe, culturally sensitive spaces where women can access support, rebuild confidence and begin their recovery.
The programme combines trauma-informed counselling, creative therapy groups and practical recovery workshops with community outreach and early identification of domestic abuse. Alongside direct support for survivors, the project works to reduce isolation and stigma by opening up conversations within the community and strengthening safe pathways into specialist services.
To deliver this work effectively, ARCC is recruiting two Project Coordinators to lead the Mental Health and Domestic Abuse (DASV) strands of the programme and two community champions. These roles will work closely together to ensure women receive safe, coordinated and culturally competent support throughout their journey.
Role Purpose
To lead the domestic abuse and safeguarding elements of the Anchor and Bloom Project, supporting survivors accessing the programme while ensuring safe identification and referral for women who may still be experiencing active harm.
