Prospect Research:
- Identify and develop a pipeline of opportunities from grant-giving trusts and foundations.
- Use internal database, online resources, desk research, and contact mapping to identify new funder opportunities.
- Review trusts’ and foundations’ funding criteria to grow the prospect pipeline.
- Develop a thorough understanding of our work and future developments to identify new funding opportunities.
Submitting grant applications:
- Create compelling and persuasive funding appeals.
- Complete grant application forms and follow application processes as required.
- Work closely with colleagues across the Directorate and the wider charity to articulate our work and build strong funding propositions.
Leadership & Relationship Management:
- Lead and manage the Trusts and Philanthropy Executive by developing skills, conducting appraisals and overseeing ongoing development.
- Lead & steward a portfolio of existing charitable trusts and foundations, and cultivate new potential donors, ensuring their support is recognised and celebrated.
- Ensure funders are thanked promptly and that grant terms and conditions are applied.
- Provide progress reports and manage all formal reporting requirements on time.
- Build relationships in person, by phone, email, or virtual meetings to secure long-term commitment.
- Identify opportunities for funders to meet key staff and attend events and site visits that strengthen their relationship with the charity.
- Implement the High Value Donor Stewardship Plan.
- Take a proactive role in developing assets such as appeals and cultivation events.
- Work with colleagues across the charity to monitor and evaluate funded projects, producing reports that demonstrate impact.
Administration and Reporting:
- Manage trust prospects and donors on the CRM database, ensuring records are accurate and compliant with fundraising regulations.
- Budget management, cost control forecasting and taking corrective action to achieve budgets.
- Use the CRM database to manage task “actions”, prioritise and evaluate opportunities, and record funder interactions.
- Manage and develop a portfolio of high value relationships.
- Liaise with colleagues to ensure grant applications are coordinated across the organisation.

Role purpose
The purpose of this role is to support the National Programme Team with the implementation of operational plans that deliver successful national skills competitions. Overview of Role:
To provide operational and administrative support across the RSN’s educational programmes, including the Certificate and Diploma, Tutor Training Course, Short Courses, International Summer School and On Demand Courses.
Main Duties
The main duties include, but are not limited to:
General Administration
- Manage the Education Email Inboxes, responding to queries and complaints as appropriate.

We’re looking for an experienced Event Manager to plan, manage and implement delivery of our Big Bang Fair, Tomorrow’s Engineering Live and Big Bag at Parliament STEM events for young people. This is an exciting role, delivering a variety of events for different audiences, including our showcase event, The Big Bang Fair, which welcomes 20,000+ young people to the NEC, Birmingham, for three days of hands-on STEM inspiration. You’ll work within a high performing team and work closely with other colleagues across the whole organisation. You will ensure that our events are successful and that we meet our targets such as connecting with a diversity of schools and that our events are impactful.

About the role
This role will lead the delivery and implementation of The Big Bang Fair (9-11 June 2026), Tomorrow’s Engineers Live (likely February 2027), Big Bang at Parliament (November 2026) and other EngineeringUK events as required. The Event Manager will ensure that we deliver against Key Performance Indicators or KPIs, engage with a diversity of schools or stakeholders and improve the impact of these events.
The role will report into the Associate Director of Engagement Projects and will work closely to support the delivery of the events portfolio, whilst also working alongside many other internal colleagues such as the Business and Industry, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Careers, Communications and Evaluation teams. You will also work collaboratively with the wider engineering, education and STEM community as well as stakeholders funding our events and agencies supporting delivery.
You’ll plan, manage and implement the delivery of EngineeringUK events including establishing internal project teams and managing a schedule of project meetings, monitoring and reporting on progress, sourcing and liaising with venues to ensure a successful event. You will ensure that events have a smooth event booking/registration process and deliver events to time and on budget.
You’ll work with suppliers managing relationships and budgets and build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders. You’ll work collaboratively with teams across the organisation such as communications, stakeholder management , evaluation, content development, our head of equity, diversity and inclusion and policy and public affairs colleagues, to name just a few!

The Reading Reboot programme will establish librarian-led social book clubs in over 100 under-funded secondary school libraries across the UK and reach more than 6,000 young people directly, alongside librarians, senior leaders and wider school communities. Reading Reboot places school librarians at the heart of delivery, combining new book stock, inspiring author engagement, appealing library spaces, and a robust evaluation to evidence impact and inform future national roll-out.
The Project Manager will lead on development and delivery, working closely with the CEO, a Project Board and external evaluation team to ensure the programme meets its objectives on time, within budget and to a high quality. They will recruit and coordinate schools and librarians, work with partners and funders, and ensure that learning and impact are captured and shared across the sector. Building strong relationships with all stakeholders, the Project Manager will be the main point of contact for the programme and will support the CEO and Project Board with timely updates, papers and participation in meetings. The Clink Charity, founded in 2009, aims to prevent and reduce reoffending through training, rehabilitation, and support. We deliver hospitality and horticulture training behind the prison walls and in the community by creating an environment where our students are supported to gain the skills, confidence and qualifications they need to rebuild their lives.
Since that time, we have trained approximately 5,000 people in prison and delivered 2,600 City & Guilds qualifications in a variety of hospitality and food courses.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Head of Training and Impact is a vital and high-profile role within the organisation, responsible for overseeing the implementation of all training projects at The Clink Charity across our portfolio, both in prisons and out in the community, evaluating the outcomes and impact of our work for our beneficiaries.
This is a broad and varied role allowing the incumbent to work across catering, hospitality and horticulture training projects, delivering nationally accredited and high calibre City & Guilds qualifications to vulnerable learners.
Having oversight of the projects, and working closely with our team of expert project leads in our restaurant, bakery, gardens and in our youth café of South London, this role offers the opportunity to develop exceptional training programs, rigorous quality assurance processes, and reflective practice in evaluation work.
As we scale our youth projects to a second site in Guildford, this role also comes with the wonderful opportunity of mobilising a brand new project to meet the needs of a NEET community of 16–25 year olds in a café based at Guildford County Court.
The Head of Training and Skills will onboard referral partners, design the delivery program and impact framework, and work alongside a skilled support team to ensure the success of the site, with a view to opening more of these projects in 2027.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and line management

Project delivery

- Work with the project leads on preparing portfolios for hospitality, catering and horticulture projects ready for assessment and verification.
- Oversee all verification of these courses. Act as one of a team of IQA’s for The Clink Charity and facilitate the EQA (External Qualification Assessor) visits, and HMPPS/HMI inspections across all sites.
- Host standardisation meetings with colleagues to build a collaborative training culture.
- Regularly monitor qualification outcomes against targets.
Monitoring, evaluation and insight
- Work with the project team in prisons and in the community to develop measurement and evaluation processes to assess the impact and outcomes of The Clink’s training programme, inform future decisions about programme development, and enable robust reporting to stakeholders.
- Attend quarterly reporting meetings with the MoJ to share the outcomes of our projects, preparing reports for those meetings and working with colleagues at New Futures Network who monitor our work for the MoJ.
- Regularly review impact methodology and implementation to ensure The Clink’s impact is measured and demonstrated in the most effective way, showing the full impact of our programmes.
- Develop efficiencies in collecting and analysing data.
- Be impact-driven and use data and results to ensure the planning and delivery of high-quality programme to drive continuous improvement.
Safeguarding
- Champion safeguarding in all the work that you deliver in and out of prisons, ensuring processes are adhered to and a culture of safeguarding is sustained throughout the organisation.

- Approve updates to related policies and procedures annually.
- Ensure all staff working in our projects are appropriately trained in safeguarding practice at The Clink Charity.
New business, income generation and programme development
- Lead on strategic planning for delivery and programme development across all sites, seeking opportunities to grow/scale our impact by exploring new opportunities with our partners.
- Build and develop relationships with all relevant stakeholders, including MoJ and HMPPS colleagues, referral agencies for our community work, and strategic funding partners to increase our reach and deepen our impact on beneficiaries.
- Build and develop The Clink’s network of potential delivery partners including HMPPS, DWP, DfE, local authority, social care, schools, and other third sector organisations who work with us in supporting our beneficiaries.
- Provide expert content surrounding programme delivery and development for funding bids and proposals.
- Support the work of the CEO and Grants Manager in raising funds for the charity, including through attending pitches and meetings with current and prospective funders.
Finance
- With the support of the Director of Finance and Resources, prepare and oversee budgets for project delivery and track spending against forecasts ensuring good fiscal management of projects.

Over many years of working alongside people recently granted refugee status, we have seen how the moment of transition, when someone leaves asylum accommodation and tries to find a home of their own, can significantly impact the opportunity to build a stable life. Too often, people face this period with little support, or relying on friends, volunteers and organisations who want to help but aren't always sure how, especially in such a rapidly changing environment. This role exists to change that.
Through our Refugee Homelessness Prevention Project we want to build on the learning and experience we’ve gained over the last 20 years and increase our impact in local communities across Greater Manchester. We are therefore looking for an experienced trainer who is proactive, well‑organised and able to build strong relationships in local communities.
This is a varied and community‑focused role, suitable for someone who is comfortable facilitating training, enjoys meeting people in a range of settings and is keen to help others feel confident in offering housing‑related guidance.
In accordance with the Christian ethos and values of Boaz Trust, the Housing Access Training and Development Officer is responsible for developing and delivering a training and resources programme that builds the capacity of organisations and communities across Greater Manchester to support people recently granted refugee status in accessing private rented accommodation.
The post holder will:
- develop and deliver practical, accessible training for a range of audiences which could include faith communities, VCSE organisations and mainstream homelessness services
- develop and maintain our suite of housing resources and tools that equip non-specialist supporters to help refugees navigate the private rented sector with knowledge and confidence
- build positive and productive relationships with organisations, networks and partners across al ten Greater Manchester boroughs as a representative of Boaz Trust.

We are looking for an International Engagement Manager to join our team to refine and expand a bold and innovative alumni volunteering programme to support both the priorities of the University and the Development and Alumni Relations Office (DARO). The post holder will deliver volunteer and engagement opportunities in key markets including China, India, Hong Kong, USA, Dubai, and many others, and will join nine other volunteering professionals as part of the wider team. The role will be responsible for developing a range of volunteering opportunities for international alumni, which support Birmingham 2030 targets around graduate employability, student recruitment, student experience, research and influence. You will be responsible for growing the number of international alumni volunteers and reporting on the impact of your work internally.
A key component of this role will be developing relationships with colleagues across the University to include alumni engagement and volunteering across the University’s international strategic themes. The International Engagement Manager role will be a point of contact for international matters into the Development and Alumni Relations Department amongst other University departments, including International Student Recruitment, Birmingham Global and Careers Network. As the lead on international engagement activity for the department, you will be expected to travel overseas for events and alumni activity in key strategic regions.
You will be provided with a robust induction and an ongoing training program that will include support from the University as well as expert external providers.
