We are excited to have a new vacancy for a Safeguarding Data, Quality and Performance Officer to join our fantastic team here at RBL.

This newly created role will be a core part of our recently expanded Safeguarding team who are vital to the work that we do by enabling a robust culture of safeguarding across RBL. This team supports all RBL staff, volunteers and members to recognise and raise all safeguarding concerns to protect our beneficiaries and residents and protect the reputation of the RBL group.

This roles will sit at the heart of this team and are an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest to use previous experience in this field to continue their career in Safeguarding within an established and successful team, who will in turn provide you with the chance to gain practical experience and support you to undertake further professional qualifications.

Reporting to one of our Safeguarding Managers, key responsibilities will include:

· Preparing and presenting data, insights and intelligence and embedding a culture of evidence-based safeguarding decision making

· Supporting teams’ completion of compliance reviews and audits, alongside independent audits on specified data sets

· Compiling and maintaining plans which record work undertaken to mitigate risk, improve performance and the quality of SG services provided

· Reporting and presenting outcomes and making recommendations to improve the quality and effectiveness of services for our beneficiaries

· Presenting comprehensive analysis of progress on KPIs, risks, good practice, recommendations and opportunities for additional support

· Contributing to the development and revision of the wider Quality Assurance Framework and work collaboratively with other colleagues

· Communicating audit outcomes and recommendations to Services delivery leads, Services audit team, Registered Managers, Quality and Care Standards Team and other key stakeholders

You will have demonstrable experience in the field of Safeguarding Adults and Children, with knowledge of safeguarding policies and legislation. You will be contracted to your home address, and you will perform most of your work remotely there, with occasional travel (incl. for monthly team meetings).

About the role

The Senior Business & Resource Planning Manager is a role within Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement, acting as a strategic partner to colleagues and driving key processes and activity in areas such as planning, reporting, project management and operational improvements.  

The postholder will support on operationalising plans and lead on the in-year tracking and management of budgets across P&A, and play a key role in supporting the P&A Leadership Team (LT) in making informed decisions relating to the resourcing of staffing and activity.

This role will also lead and coordinate on key aspects of reporting including internal quarterly reviews and also key accountability sessions for P&A with University leadership. Alongside this, they will lead on strategic projects that align and have been identified as being important to progress P&A and wider institutional goals. 

The role is based within the Advancement Operations section of P&A and will be part of the section leadership team. The postholder will be closely involved in taking forward projects to review and enhance processes to drive improvements and streamlining across Advancement Operations. This area of activity will also link to the postholder’s focus on supporting the Director of Advancement Operations in delivering their agenda. 

This is a full time (35 hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. 

P&A has a hybrid working approach, with a minimum of 40% of time in the office. Typically, this equates to two days per week, but we’re very happy for colleagues to be in more frequently if they so wish.

Purpose of the Role

The Clinical & Research Lead role provides senior clinical leadership across Together for Short Lives’ most complex and high-profile programmes. The role leads the design and delivery of national clinical initiatives, strengthens clinical governance and safeguarding oversight, and builds the organisation’s research and evidence capability.

Working closely with the Head of Services & Impact, the postholder ensures programmes are credible, evidence-informed and deliver measurable impact for children, families and the wider sector. The role will lead work that strengthens professional practice, improves outcomes for families, and supports national sector development. The role involves significant external representation, national stakeholder engagement, programme planning, research and data oversight, and leadership of internal and external events.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

· Represent Together for Short Lives in national clinical, policy and professional forums, contributing to the organisation’s credibility and influence across the children’s palliative care sector.

· Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of internally hosted stakeholder meetings, including the Leaders of Care Forum and other professional engagement events.

We are looking for someone with:  

• A Community Development qualification and/or transferable Community Development skills and experience.

• A basic understanding of the Asset-Based Community Development approach (ABCD) is required however full support and development of this practice and our internal ways of working will be provided.    

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships that drive action.  

• A track record of successful collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders.  

• Effective and efficient organisational and IT skills. 

PLEASE NOTE:  

• The successful candidate will need to be based within a 30-minute commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel regularly across the wider area (travel expenses covered).  The successful candidate must possess a valid full UK driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance for work purposes.  

• There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to other UK locations for meetings and events depending on the charity’s needs such as our annual all colleagues in person event.   

• The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week over 5 days, Monday - Sunday. Core working days will be Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is essential, as regular evening and weekend work will also be required to meet the needs of the role. Working hours will vary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a two-week period, so please take this into consideration before applying.

Purpose

As a Grants & Bids Development Officer, you will help shape the future of our services by developing compelling, evidence-based applications to charitable trusts, foundations, and public sector commissioners. Your work will directly contribute to tackling inequality, expanding access to support, and driving positive change across Kent and Medway.
You will be part of a collaborative development function that is curious, positive, and committed to learning. Working closely with colleagues across operational teams, you will translate real-world insight into powerful cases for support, ensuring our bids are grounded in lived experience, strong evidence, and Involve Kent’s values.
The primary focus is trusts and bids. Legacy stewardship is welcome but not essential and will be proportionate to capacity.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
1) Trusts & Foundations
• Pipeline management: Maintain and develop a rolling, well-qualified trusts pipeline with a clear annual submission calendar.

• Proposal drafting: Produce compelling, tailored proposals and reports aligned to funder criteria, organisational priorities, and impact goals.
• Impact & budgeting: Work with service leads and Finance to evidence need, outcomes, and impact; align restricted budgets; draft clear budget narratives and simple throughput justifications.
• Compliance: Maintain accurate records of applications, grant conditions, and reporting schedules to agreed timelines and standards.
• Reporting: Produce a weekly opportunities update and a monthly snapshot summarising pipeline status and next steps.

2) Contracts (Public Sector Bids)
• Horizon scanning & qualification: Monitor procurement portals; complete eligibility matrices; assemble bid packs; maintain a concise tender pipeline.

The Finance and Governance Officer is responsible for the day-to-day financial management, governance support, and administrative oversight of the charity. Context

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a pioneering programme that could reshape how kinship families are supported across England.

Kinship is undertaking a pilot Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of Kinship Connected, a Kinship Navigator programme designed to provide intensive, specialist support to kinship carers and help them navigate complex systems.

This is a multi-partner programme involving funders, independent evaluators, participating local authorities, internal delivery teams and kinship carers with lived experience.

Kinship Navigators are at the heart of delivery. You will work directly with kinship carers in the community and in their homes, providing intensive 1-to-1 support and facilitating local support groups, while working closely with local authority partners and other services.

Because the programme forms part of a pilot RCT, maintaining high-quality case records and accurate data collection is critical. Your work will contribute directly to the evidence base about what works for kinship families.

Each Navigator will support around 40 kinship carers over the delivery year, holding a caseload of approximately 20 families at any one time.

You will be part of a wider delivery team including the Programmes Manager, Mobilisation and Delivery Project Manager, research colleagues and other Kinship teams, working together to ensure the programme is delivered ethically, consistently and to a high standard

About the role:

The Kinship Navigator provides intensive, time-limited support to kinship carers through the Kinship Connected programme, a structured six-month intervention designed to help kinship families stabilise placements and access the support they need.

Working directly with kinship carers, you will build trusting relationships while completing structured assessments, goal setting and reviews to help families strengthen support networks and navigate services such as children’s social care, education, health and community support.

This is a community-facing role, working directly with kinship carers in homes, community spaces and through co-location with local authority teams and partner organisations.

The role requires a combination of high-quality relational practice and disciplined case recording. As part of the pilot RCT, accurate documentation of activity, progress and outcomes is essential to ensure the programme can be evaluated and improved.

You will work closely with the Programmes Manager, delivery team, researchers and local authority partners to ensure the programme is delivered consistently, ethically and to a high standard, with a strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in supporting kinship families from all backgrounds.
