RESPONSIBILITIES:
Outreach, Wheelchair Skills and Wider Engagement
· Engage the widest possible range of people with spinal cord injury to sign up for further contact with Back Up, through organising and/or delivering wheelchair skills training sessions and talks for patients and families at the spinal cord injury centre in the region, general hospitals and with other key partners or locations as identified.
· Coordinate, support and manage volunteer trainers who are helping to deliver sessions and talking to patients and families.
· Lead, sustain and develop strong and effective working relationships with a wide range of health professionals and other charity representatives e.g. through presentations, calls and meetings, to ensure that people access seamless support.
Proactive Contact with People Affected by Spinal Cord Injury
· Maintain and support relationships with a large number of people affected by SCI (adults, children and young people and their parents) through regular proactive contact. This could be in person in the spinal cord injury centre, other settings or through events, telephone contact or other interactions.
· Explore their feelings, wishes and needs and provide tailored peer support to help them feel supported, access relevant services from Back Up and elsewhere through proactive referrals, and become more aware of the possibilities of life after SCI.
Networking, Partnerships and Sustainability
· Develop and maintain a map of touchpoints in the region, where people with an SCI will come into contact.
· Develop partnerships, referral routes and signposting processes to develop reach beyond the spinal cord injury centre.
· Develop and manage a network of community ambassador volunteers to support the wider work and sustainability of Back Up through fundraising and other related activities.
· Take a lead on encouraging localised fundraising activity; working towards wider income targets that support ongoing sustainability.
Other Duties and Responsibilities

Job title: Impact and Communications Officer
We're looking for a curious and capable Impact and Communications Officer to help us find, assess, report on and support some of the world’s highest impact climate and nature charities.
Internally, you will play a critical role in supporting the research on charities within our portfolio that our Due Diligence Committee oversees – helping develop our methodology and feeding into charity selection and assessment projects. You’ll help write impact reports and coordinate webinars for our network about our charities. You’ll also manage, update and clean leads in our CRM (Beacon), and support month-end financial processing.
Externally, you will produce much of the Global Returns Project’s communications content, telling compelling stories about cutting-edge environmental projects. You’ll assist with scheduling and sending our newsletters, keeping our website up-to-date, and editing video content. As we generate support for our portfolio via public campaigns and match-funding initiatives, you’ll help coordinate these efforts in line with the strategy set by the wider team.

Community Action Nepal (CAN) was established 25 years ago by the world-renowned mountaineer Doug Scott CBE, to raise the living standards of remote mountain communities in Nepal. In this time CAN, working predominantly with our implementation partner in Nepal, has built 17 schools, 19 health posts and three Porter Rescue Shelters and delivered a wide range of livelihoods, agriculture and cultural programmes, improving the lives of many thousands of people in rural Nepal. We are looking for an organised and proactive Office Administrator to provide full office administration to the charity. The position is part of a small team. The post holder will need to be self-reliant and work on their own initiative to co-ordinate all elements of the office administration of the charity, whilst working closely with the Operations Director, Fundraising Officer, Trustees and Patrons. The office administrator is often the first point of contact for donors and sponsors and therefore a confident telephone manner is essential and ability to respond to verbal and email enquiries; ability to delegate and refer enquiries to the relevant party eg Operations Director, Fundraising Officer, trustees, patrons. Responsible for the banking of donations, payments on-line and accurately recording information on the back-office systems including XERO for banking and being familiar with the functions and communications via a CRM for client relationship database. Responsible for communicating with the charity’s appointed accountant and the Charity Treasurer for general financial and banking queries. The role will include supporting the fundraiser with external events where necessary, particularly in Cumbria

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented Events and Engagement Coordinator to provide excellent operational support to the Engagement Directorate to enable Mission 44 to build meaningful funder relationships and deliver impactful experiences.
The role sits at the intersection of the donor experience, events and supporting the functionality of the wider, newly established Engagement Directorate. It will have two priorities: to provide administrative and operational support across the team, including to the Chief Engagement Officer, and support the Events and Engagement team to execute first-class events.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EVENTS COORDINATION (60%)
In collaboration with colleagues support the planning and delivery of Mission 44's events, including fundraising and stewardship dinners, receptions and roundtable discussions, as well as trackside hospitality and donor experiences.
Manage invitations, RSVPs and attendee communications, acting as a first point of contact for events attendees, providing exceptional customer service.
Coordinate event logistics, including venue bookings, catering, accessibility requirements and wider production supplier management.
Support the preparation of live event materials, briefing packs, attendee lists and run sheets.
Support the wider Fundraising team with securing sponsorship, ticket sales, and securing auction items. This includes production of targeted collateral for outreach.
Work closely with the Fundraising Data and Operations Manager to ensure that events and donor data is updated accurately and in a timely manner to our CRM system (Virtuous).
Work closely with the Communications Team to ensure events materials are aligned with brand and messaging.
Provide on-the-day event support, including registration, stakeholder hosting and logistics management.
Support the production of post-event evaluation, feedback collection and reporting.
ENGAGEMENT TEAM OPERATIONS (40%)
Coordinate internal team meetings, workshops and planning sessions.
Schedule meetings and support diary coordination for internal team meetings, and select high-level funder meetings for the Chief Engagement Officer.
Prepare agendas, take minutes and track actions arising from meetings.
Arrange domestic and international travel, accommodation and itineraries for team members and guests.
Support budget tracking, purchase orders and expense administration.
Maintain team trackers, project plans and operational documents on Monday. com
Act as a key point of contact for administrative and operational enquiries.
Ensure data quality and compliance with organisational processes with the Fundraising Data and Operations Manager.
ABOUT YOU: SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
