Job Title: Roding, Beam and Ingabourne Catchment Partnership Officer

Purpose of the job:
This post will form part of Thames21’s Catchment Partnership team. The successful candidate will co-host the Roding, Beam and Ingrebourne (RBI) Catchment Partnership, alongside Thames Chase Trust, and will be responsible for the partnership’s strategic development and expansion, working towards the successful delivery of the Catchment Based Approach (CaBA) to improve the rivers and wider environment in this catchment.
The RBI Catchment Partnership covers an area of approximately 500km2, including the rural areas of Uttlesford, Brentwood, Epping Forest and Thurrock before reaching the urban stretches of Redbridge, Havering, Barking and Dagenham in north-east London where it borders the tidal Thames.
Main duties and responsibilities:
The officer will be expected to deliver across four priority areas:
1.Develop diverse, representative, collaborative and delivery focused partnerships
The successful candidate will need to work autonomously and proactively to seek out and positively engage strategic stakeholders within the RBI catchment area, building the influence and capacity of the Catchment Partnership network to deliver improvements for rivers and local communities. These stakeholders will include (but are not limited to) community groups, landowners, eNGOs, local authorities, government agencies and water companies.
2.Work with partnership networks to identify, develop and fundraise for river catchment improvement projects
Working alongside external partners and Thames21 colleagues, the Catchment Partnership Officer will need to draw on their knowledge of what makes a river catchment healthy to develop ambitious and impactful catchment improvement projects that meet the targets of Thames21’s 5-year plan and the RBI’s Catchment Action Plan. Once identified, the successful candidate will be required to work with relevant Thames21 teams and external partners to successfully fundraise for the development and delivery of these projects.
3.Bring together identified projects into detailed, deliverable catchment and sub-catchment action plans, and monitor progress against these.
The catchment partnership officer will be responsible for developing deliverable catchment and sub-catchment action plans that draw together projects identified across the catchment/sub-catchment area with landowner and stakeholder support. These plans should make the priority projects for delivery clear to external readers and catchment partners, enabling a strategic approach to project delivery in the catchment.
4.Break down silos by sharing information and bringing people together; in a way that is catchment wide, cross boundary and across multiple organisations.
The catchment partnership officer will be expected to share knowledge, news, funding opportunities and project progress between stakeholders through meetings, site visits, email newsletters and quarterly meetings of the whole Catchment Partnership (which the Officer will have the responsibility of arranging, coordinating and chairing, including the production of agendas, minutes and actions). The catchment partnership officer will be expected to communicate the work of their catchment partnership networks externally at relevant forums, including the River Partnerships in London (RiPL) Group, Thames Catchment Forum and strategic community events.
Other Duties
Where necessary, the catchment partnership officer may be required to support and lead on the delivery of river improvement projects, managing project deadlines and budgets. Overall purpose
As the Finance and Operations Officer, you will play a key role in making sure the charity’s expenditure is well managed, accurately recorded, properly authorised and fully auditable. The post holder will have day-to-day ownership of purchase ledger processing, supplier payments, staff and client expenses, payment runs and expenditure controls. They will ensure that all expenditure is coded correctly, supported by appropriate documentation, treated correctly for VAT and recorded in line with internal policies, accounting requirements and funder restrictions.
The postholder will work closely with the Head of Finance and colleagues across the organisation to make expenditure processes clear, efficient and well controlled. This includes supporting staff to understand purchasing, expenses, authorisation and supplier processes, and helping teams to manage spending in line with budgets, funding restrictions and organisational procedures. The role also includes practical operational support, helping to make sure colleagues have the equipment, technology set-up, office resources, basic systems access and clear guidance they need to do their jobs effectively and safely. This will include creating and maintaining guidance that helps the organisation run smoothly, such as office guidance, health and safety information and equipment policies.

Key responsibilities
Finance responsibilities — expenditure focus (65%)
· Process purchase invoices, staff expenses and client payments accurately and promptly, ensuring all expenditure has the correct approval, coding, VAT treatment and supporting documentation.
· Maintain day-to-day ownership of the purchase ledger, ensuring supplier accounts are accurate, up to date and reconciled where needed.
· Ensure staff and client expenses are captured and recorded accurately, comply with the relevant expense policy and are paid in a timely manner.
· Prepare supplier, staff and client payment runs ready for approval and payment by the finance team.

Founded in 1681 by King Charles II, the Royal Hospital Chelsea has stood for centuries as a national symbol of gratitude to the soldiers who have served our country, and is home to the iconic Chelsea Pensioners. Today, the Hospital’s role remains to ensure that those who have served are always supported.
We are now looking for a proactive and creative Internal Communications Officer to support the delivery of engaging and effective communications across the Royal Hospital Chelsea. This role is for maternity cover. Working closely with colleagues from across the organisation, you will help bring our stories, people and purpose to life, ensuring staff, Pensioners and volunteers feel informed, connected and inspired.

Where you fit in
Working closely with senior leaders across the organisation, including the Chief Executive Officer and HR Director, you'll play a key role in delivering effective internal communications that support organisational objectives, strengthen staff engagement and embed a culture aligned with the Royal Hospital’s values.
What you’ll be doing
You'll lead the planning and delivery of internal communications activity, ensuring colleagues across the Royal Hospital receive clear, timely and engaging communications that support our strategic priorities.
You will:
· Develop and deliver effective internal communications plans that support organisational objectives and priorities
· Work closely with senior leaders to deliver clear and consistent messaging across the organisation
· Support the delivery of a strong ‘fundraising-first’ narrative through internal communications activity
· Promote staff engagement initiatives, including pulse surveys, helping to support action planning and organisational improvement
· Drive awareness and adoption of key staff initiatives, including onboarding, appraisals, values and ways of working
· Manage and develop internal communications channels, including the staff intranet, ensuring content remains relevant, engaging and up to date
· Build strong relationships across teams, providing advice on communications planning, messaging, audiences and channels
· Support strategic planning communications to ensure colleagues understand organisational goals and priorities
· Lead on communications with Chelsea Pensioners, ensuring communications are two-way, inclusive and aligned with their needs and preferences
· Monitor and evaluate communications activity, providing insight and reporting to inform future activity and support decision-making
We’re looking for someone who is:
· Able to create clear, engaging content for a range of internal audiences
· Experienced in internal communications, employee engagement or organisational communications
· Skilled at building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
· Experienced in supporting organisational change, culture programmes or staff engagement initiatives
· Highly organised, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
· Comfortable working independently and using initiative while contributing as part of a collaborative team
· Experienced in managing intranet content and developing engaging internal communications channels
· Analytical and results-focused, with experience evaluating communications activity and reporting on outcomes
· Calm under pressure and able to manage sensitive communications with professionalism and discretion
· IT literate, including Microsoft Office and digital communications platforms

Buckinghamshire Healthcare Charity is looking for an experienced and collaborative finance leader to become its new Head of Finance and Operations, helping shape the financial and organisational foundations of a newly merged charity.
Formed in April 2026 through the merger of Scannappeal and Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust Charitable Fund, Buckinghamshire Healthcare Charity brings together two established organisations with a shared commitment to improving healthcare across Buckinghamshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join at a formative point in its development, with strong foundations already in place and significant scope to shape what comes next.
Reporting to the Chief Executive and working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will provide strategic financial leadership across the charity, supporting the Chief Executive, Trustees and senior colleagues with clear insight, advice and constructive challenge. You will lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, alongside oversight of governance, risk, investments and organisational systems.
You will also play an important role in supporting and developing the existing finance team. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will build strong relationships, provide direction and support, and create the right balance between senior accountability and genuine ownership within the team. You will work collaboratively across the charity, as well as with Trustees, auditors, investment managers and Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with significant senior-level experience across strategic financial management, reporting, governance and risk. You will combine strong technical expertise with sound judgement, excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style. Experience of joining or inheriting an established team and developing people to take ownership of their work will be particularly important.

1. Working closely with the Head of Creative Engagement to deliver HOME’s year-round Creative Engagement offer for young people, schools and communities.
2. Lead multiple Creative Engagement visual art projects, facilitating HOME Young Artists Studio, producing Horizons Festival, curating HOME’s Inspire Gallery and wider Creative Engagement Programme.
3. Be part of working groups and collaborate with colleagues to ensure that the engagement programme links directly to and is part of HOME’s overall programme – as directed by the Head of Creative Engagement or CEO.
4. Embed best practice in relation to working with young people, schools and communities. Prioritise safeguarding and shape an accessible and inclusive programme of work.
5. Recruit, support, contract, liaise and supervise freelance artists and other creative practitioners engaged in the delivery of projects.
6. Uphold set financial processes and effectively manage project budgets regularly reporting to the Head of Creative Engagement.
7. Implement effective project management, with a high level of project administration, manage time and resources and implement effective administration processes in order to produce high-quality and ensure set outcomes and outputs are delivered in a timely manner.
8. Develop opportunities and shape pathways to careers for young people and communities.
9. Maintain a working knowledge of and participate in regional and national engagement, creative health and visual art networks, to keep up to speed with developments within the sector.
10. Work with the Marketing and Communications team to ensure work is effectively promoted. Regularly writing copy and providing content for social media and updating the website in order to raise the profile of HOME’s Creative Engagement work at a local and national level.
11. Work with HOME’s Development Team to identify and support fundraising and reporting when needed.
12. Develop and implement an effective monitoring and evaluation strategy for the programme and to provide written reports when required.
