Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

You will be joining a team dedicated to raising vital year-round income and making Crisis supporters feel valued and inspired. This role will support the delivery of our Mid-Value Programme, as we continue to grow this crucial source of sustainable income and inspire more supporters to deepen their commitment to ending homelessness.
About the role
Mid-value giving sits at the heart of our new Brand, Marketing and Fundraising Strategy as one of our highest-priority income streams. As an Individual Giving Executive, you’ll play a key role in managing one-to-one and one-to-many relationships with Crisis mid-value supporters, delivering excellent supporter care to deepen engagement and build financial commitment, and supporting the multi-channel programme that delivers tangible impact for Crisis and bring people closer to our mission to end homelessness.
As we evaluate and refine our Mid-value offer to supporters, you’ll be using creativity and innovation to develop campaigns, communications, and engagement opportunities to inspire people with this way of giving. By collaborating with colleagues from across the organisation and our trusted partners, you’ll be bold in delivering an impactful stewardship programme that nurtures our supporters’ consideration and creates new opportunities for them to feel valued. You’ll take an equitable approach in sharing stories of people experiencing homelessness, to deepen our supporters’ engagement and bring them closer to our mission.
About you
We’re looking for a fundraiser with experience delivering in-person, one to one stewardship, ideally within a philanthropy or high-value context. You’ll be an organised project manager and excellent communicator across multiple channels and be comfortable having thoughtful and tactful conversations with our supporters.
We are a dynamic team that delivers results and are in the process of re-designing our mid-value programme for Crisis. So we’re looking for someone who can learn quickly and happy to get involved with multiple projects straight away. To be successful in this role you will:
Previous experience in fundraising or stewardship is essential, ideally within a higher-value/philanthropy context. Most of all we’re looking for a candidate who’s passionate about ending homelessness and can play an active role in a busy, diverse and dynamic team.

About the role

The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is a member of the School’s Senior Leadership Team and takes lead responsibility for safeguarding and child protection across the institution, supported by a safeguarding team comprised of two Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads, and four counselors. The role holder ensures that safeguarding is embedded into all aspects of school culture, leads on multi-agency collaboration, manages child protection referrals, and provides strategicguidance to colleagues, trustees, and external agencies. The DSL has management oversight of a Safeguarding Administrative Assistant and the School Nursing team.
Summary of major responsibilities
Managing Referrals & Multi-Agency Working
Act as the primary point of contact for local authority children’s social care, local safeguarding partners, and police (where the case leads to safeguarding/child protection
Refer cases of suspected abuse, neglect, or harm immediately to Children’s Social Care, the Local Authority Designated Officer, Channel/Prevent, or the police, where required
Lead and support early help assessments for children who require additional support before reaching statutory intervention thresholds
Attend and contribute actively to child protection conferences, core groups, and multi-agency risk assessment conferences
Information Sharing and Record Keeping
Maintain confidential, accurate, detailed, and up-to-date child protection records (separate from academic records), adhering to data protection (GDPR/Data Protection Act) standards
Securely transfer child protection files to new educational settings when a student transfers, confirming receipt and ensuring seamless continuity of care
In partnership with the Board of Trustees, monitor safeguarding trends within the school to inform local risk assessments and policy development
Assist the Human Resources Department with maintaining a compliant, accurate and continuously updated Single Central Record, advising on and signing pre-employment risk assessments where required and permissible
Serve as the School’s Attendance Champion, works in partnership with the divisional attendance officers, monitoring and reporting attendance concerns to the local authority
Raising Awareness and Staff Guidance
Ensure the school’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy is updated annually, publicly accessible, and aligned with statutory DfE guidance.
Ensure all staff (including temporary and supply staff) receive safeguarding induction training and understand their duty to report concerns immediately
Provide regular safeguarding updates, refresher training, and Level 2 training for employees and supply staff as appropriate, as well as arranging Level 3 training for the appropriate roleholders
Promote a child-centric environment where children feel heard, respected, and safe to disclose concerns
Chair weekly meetings with divisional safeguarding teams, discussing safeguarding cases and advising on appropriate next steps
Monitor and approve tutoring and enrichment arrangements
Training and Professional Development
Complete formal DSL training at least every two years to maintain expertise in safeguarding policy, local multi-agency procedures, and legal updates
Update knowledge and skills regularly (at least annually) on emerging safeguarding issues, including online safety, peer-on-peer/child-on-child abuse, exploitation (CCE/CSE), radicalisation, domestic abuse, and filtering/monitoring systems
Online Safety, Filtering and Monitoring
Oversee the online safety policy and collaborate with TILM leadership to ensure effective filtering and monitoring infrastructure
Manage concerns relating to student cyberbullying, online harassment, cybercrime (e.g., Cyber Choices programme), and digital safety breaches
Working With Senior Leadership and Trustees
Meet regularly with the Head of School and the Designated Safeguarding Trustees to report on safeguarding activity, staff training, and policy compliance
Prepare a biannual safeguarding report, supported by contemporaneous data and evidence, to be presented to the Board of Trustees
Essential qualifications/experience
Substantial experience working directly with children and young people in an educational or social care setting
Certified Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training (or willingness to complete prior to start date)
Comprehensive working knowledge of KCSIE, Working Together to Safeguard Children, EYFS statutory framework, data protection laws, and local multi-agency thresholds
Strong analytical, record-keeping, and crisis-management skills under pressure.
Ability to assimilate and communicate complex information succinctly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing
Well-developed interpersonal skills that inspire trust, confidence and credibility with all constituencies
Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development, demonstrated by appropriate professional memberships, conference attendance, and presentations
Strong leadership, decision-making, and a commitment to collaboration

Desirable qualifications/experience

About the role:
We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker for a fixed term period of up to 12 months, on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Kentown Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Kentown Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.
Having worked in a demanding and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Southampton Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. Living Wage Foundation
The Living Wage movement began in 2001, after Citizens UK brought together communities in East London to discuss poverty and low pay. The campaign grew in momentum and soon required a mechanism to recognise employers who wanted to join the movement, which saw the establishment of the Living Wage Foundation in 2011.
Still part of Citizens UK today, the Living Wage Foundation (LWF) continues to work with community organisations to make sure the voices of both workers and businesses are part of the Living Wage movement. We now work with over 16,000 employers, benefitting over 490,000 people and winning over £4bn of better wages for people who need it most.
Citizens UK works with a broad base of institutions across the political spectrum. At the Living Wage Foundation, we take the same deliberately broad-based approach and accredit all organisations who pay the real Living Wage to their directly and indirectly employed staff and are committed to tackling in work poverty. Purpose
At Citizens UK (CUK), our organisers and project staff work within communities to develop leaders, strengthen organisations, campaign for change and organise across difference. There are various project roles and operational, communication, finance and HR roles that support the organisation and project staff and organisers to deliver on this mission and work. This work is rewarding and can be challenging; it requires a personal commitment to inclusion, a willingness to listen and disagree respectfully, and an interest in working in an organisation where our staff, member institutions and leaders will come from a diversity of backgrounds and often hold views that may be very different from our own. Main Responsibilities
As the Data and Membership Officer for the Living Wage Foundation (LWF), you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth running of our internal processes and supporting our network of nearly 17,000 accredited Living Wage employers. Your responsibilities will span data management, customer service, finance administration, and team support. You will contribute to effective data management by supporting system updates, maintaining high-quality records on platforms such as Salesforce and ActOn, and generating reports for use by senior management.
Additionally, you will coordinate the administration and reconciliation of credit card payments and act as a liaison between the CUK Finance and LWF teams. In the area of customer service, you will manage our Employer support email inbox, respond to queries, and escalate complex issues as needed. You will also be responsible for updating internal systems, supporting merchandise and branding requests, and representing the Foundation in both written and verbal correspondence. Team support duties will include arranging logistics for team events, providing occasional administrative assistance to senior leadership, and ensuring internal handbooks and guidance remain current. Throughout all areas of your work, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the LWF Team to ensure we meet the needs and expectations of our employer network and other key stakeholders.
Working as the Data and Membership Officer for the Living Wage Foundation, reporting to Senior Data and Insight Manager (LWF Operations and Insight team) your main responsibilities will include:
Project Management
Support LWF team with good data management, reviewing employer pipeline numbers, reporting to Senior Management Team (SMT) when there are issues or delays.
Clean employer data, escalating complex issues to relevant colleagues.
Support the Senior Data and Insight Manager to maintain high-quality data across our systems, including Salesforce (CRM) and ActOn (marketing email platform).
Support the Operations and Insight Team with testing and implementation of new systems and processes.
Learning and expertise
Keep internal handbooks and guidance up to date with ways of working practices, systems and policies, working with the LWF team to consider and implement improvements to make LWF an efficient and positive place of work.
Create and share basic reports from Salesforce for use by the team and SMT.
Communications
Represent the Living Wage Foundation coherently in writing and verbally.
Work collaboratively with the team and across Citizens UK to ensure that we are meeting the customer service expectations of our employer network and stakeholders.
Develop and manage external relationships
Manage our Accreditation Inbox, including responding to simple accreditation or form questions, and escalating more complex questions where necessary in a timely and helpful manner.
Update Moneypenny (LWF switchboard) on team changes, holidays etc. Receive and respond to general enquiries received through the switchboard.
Support on Employer Merchandise and branding requests where required, ensuring timely delivery and clear correspondence.
Develop and manage internal relationships
With Operations & Data Officer, support the LWF team to book items in and out of LWF merchandise library.
Arrange logistics for LWF all staff Away Day.
Provide Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with occasional administrative support including booking travel, rooms, and making purchases when necessary.
Income and resources
Coordinate the administration and reconciliation of credit card payments.
Liaise between CUK Finance team and LWF team, ensuring each team is updated on processes and working cross-team to ensure good communication.
Administration of LWF Away Day budget.
Contribute towards Citizens UK’s strategic objectives
Responsibility for delivering agreed areas of the Foundation’s work plan.
Work collaboratively with the LWF team and across Citizens UK to ensure that we are meeting the expectations of our network and stakeholders.
