The Job
Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Manager, this role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising team. The Church Engagement and Events Officer will play a key role in building relationships with churches, supporters and volunteers across Britain, Ireland and Europe, helping them engage more deeply with USPG's vision and mission.
You will lead the planning and delivery of USPG's events programme, including the USPG Conference, Founder's Day, In Conversation Dinners and the annual Carol Service, as well as supporting the organisation's presence at festivals, synods and other national events. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you will help create inspiring and engaging experiences that raise awareness of USPG's global mission.
As the first point of contact for many church supporters, you will provide excellent stewardship, support and resources that inspire churches and communities to engage through prayer, giving and action. You will also contribute to the development of USPG's church engagement activity, helping to strengthen supporter relationships and increase engagement across the church year.
About You
You are a confident and proactive relationship builder with experience in planning events and working with churches, supporters, volunteers or Christian organisations. You are passionate about helping people engage with mission, justice and the global Church.
An organised and effective communicator, you can manage multiple projects and events, build strong stakeholder relationships and work independently while contributing to a collaborative team. You are comfortable engaging with clergy, church leaders, volunteers and supporters, and are motivated by USPG's mission and Christian ethos.

About the role
If you're looking for an opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping Shelter's corporate partnership strategy, this is a senior position with significant impact. As New Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of a high-value new business pipeline, securing transformational partnerships that generate substantial income and help defend the right to a safe home.
You'll build, cultivate and convert relationships with major corporate prospects, creating compelling and commercially astute partnership propositions tailored to organisational priorities. From charity of the year partnerships and strategic commercial collaborations to policy-led and purpose-driven initiatives, you'll identify opportunities that deliver value for both partners and Shelter.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you'll develop innovative partnership concepts, influence senior stakeholders and bring ambitious partnership opportunities to life. You'll play a key role in helping Shelter grow its corporate income, strengthen its position as a leading charity partner and deliver lasting impact for people facing housing insecurity.
You'll also contribute to a culture of ambition and collaboration, sharing expertise, supporting colleagues and helping drive the success of the wider team.

About You
We're looking for an ambitious and tenacious new business professional with a proven track record of identifying, developing and securing high-value partnerships. You'll be a confident relationship builder, skilled at engaging senior stakeholders and converting prospects into long-term strategic relationships. A strong communicator with excellent commercial awareness, you'll be able to create compelling, tailored proposals and presentations that inspire organisations to support Shelter's mission to defend the right to a safe home.
We welcome applications from candidates with corporate fundraising experience, as well as those from related sectors such as sales, business development, marketing and creative agencies, where transferable skills in income generation, stakeholder engagement and business growth can be applied in this role.

About the team
Shelter has a mature fundraising program that has seen continuous year on year diversity and growth. The directorate generates over £48m gross income, of which a high percentage is unrestricted
The directorate consists of Community and Events, Individual Giving, Planning and Improvement and High Value Partnerships, where this particular role sits. High Value Partnerships covers Major Donors, Trusts & Foundations, Legacies and Corporate fundraising, with the Corporate Partnerships team split between New Partnerships and Partnership Management.

The role
At Cruse, our strategy, sets out our charity’s plans to grow our income and build on our expertise and unique position in the sector. We provide expert bereavement and grief information and support, and our charity has been supporting people for over 65 years. We support adults, children and young people across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, through our national services, over 80 local branches and online information about grief and bereavement.
Working within the Fundraising Operations and Supporter Care Team and reporting to the Fundraising Operations and Supporter Care Manager, the Supporter Care and Data Officer will deliver excellent customer care to our supporters, responding to enquiries, and thanking supporters to help drive income and show them how valued they are to Cruse Bereavement Support. You’ll work with the fundraising CRM to ensure and maintain the quality of information available and support the Commercial Income Team (c25% of time) with administrative tasks.
