Are you a passionate and experienced Speech and Language Therapist looking to use your clinical expertise to influence and shape the profession?
We have two exciting opportunities for SLTs (one adults focused and one paediatrics focused) to join the RCSLT and contribute to a diverse range of work, from supporting member enquiries and shaping projects around SLT practice and workforce sustainability, to contributing to consultations, endorsement requests and key professional issues.
Who we are
The RCSLT is the professional body for speech and language therapists across the UK. The RCSLT has over 24,000 members and employs around 65 staff predominately based in a London office. The RCSLT also has offices in Belfast, Edinburgh, and Cardiff.
Our mission is to improve the lives of people with communication and swallowing needs by facilitating and promoting research, producing guidance, holding events, and influencing government. We aim to promote better education and training for speech and language therapists and provide information to our members and the public about speech and language therapy.
The role
The role will provide timely, evidence-informed clinical and professional advice to support members and colleagues across the RCSLT, including member enquiries, SLT practice projects, consultations, endorsement requests and resources to support workforce resilience and sustainability. The postholder will work collaboratively across the organisation and with RCSLT’s volunteer Clinical and Leadership Advisors and professional networks, using data, research and professional insight to inform advice and identify emerging issues and opportunities affecting the profession. They will also horizon scan developments in clinical practice and the SLT workforce, contribute to relevant events and workstreams, and provide clinical content to support RCSLT communications and member engagement.
We are currently recruiting for two Speech and Language Therapist Professional Advisor roles, one focusing on adults and the other on paediatrics. Please ensure you apply using the correct link for your area of expertise.
What we are looking for
We’re looking for an experienced, HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist who brings strong clinical and professional expertise, a commitment to evidence-based practice and a good understanding of the role of a professional body. You’ll have significant experience working clinically within a relevant area of SLT (paediatric or adult focused) and be confident using research, data, outcome measures, audit, evaluation or quality improvement to inform practice and develop clear, evidence-informed recommendations.
You’ll be a highly organised and analytical professional, able to manage a varied and sometimes reactive portfolio of work, prioritise competing deadlines and make sense of complex information. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential, and you’ll be comfortable facilitating, collaborating, influencing and adapting your communication to different audiences, as well as building and maintaining professional networks.
Above all, we’re looking for someone who is passionate about the SLT profession and motivated to make a difference through their expertise. You’ll bring enthusiasm, initiative and a collaborative approach, with a strong commitment to equity, diversity and belonging and to the aims and charitable objectives of the RCSLT.

About Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance
Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) exists so nobody in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help cannot get there in time. People can get sick or have accidents anywhere and anytime. But in Scotland there are places where urgent medical help cannot reach people. Or help gets there too late. And when lives are at risk every minute matters. As a charity we rely on donations from the Scottish public, companies and communities to ensure that urgent medical help gets to the patient when it is needed, wherever they are and at whatever time of day.

You will play a key role in delivering an efficient and professional HR service, supporting colleagues and managers across the charity while helping to create a positive employee experience.

SCAA supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements—our current approach typically includes two office days per week for those working on a hybrid basis (pro-rata). This is a part-time position working 22.5 hours per week. We offer flexibility regarding the working pattern, which will be agreed with the successful candidate to support both individual and charity needs. About the Role
This Project Officer role is part of Bright Futures, our mentoring and employability support programme for young Gypsy and Traveller people aged 15-25. You will keep the programme organised, connected and running smoothly - managing records and systems, building partnerships, and coordinating workshops and activities so that young people can find their way in and get the most out of the support on offer.
Many of the young people we work with have faced exclusion or discrimination within mainstream education, employment and other services, and are often not in education, employment or training (NEET). The processes, systems and communications you manage all need to be accessible and responsive to young people who may be wary of formal support.
You will coordinate outreach and community engagement to bring young people into the programme, build and maintain relationships with colleges, training providers, employers and community organisations, and manage day-to-day communications with young people, families and partners. You will set up and coordinate a Youth Advisory Group, giving young people a structured way to help shape the programme. You may also be asked to cover for mentee support when a mentor is unavailable or at capacity.
This role is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
About You
This role is for someone who enjoys keeping things organised and connected, and who wants that work to make a real, practical difference in young people's lives – someone committed to supporting young people from marginalised and underserved communities to fairly access relevant opportunities.
You will be highly organised, with strong admin skills and confidence using digital tools and databases. You will also be a confident communicator, equally comfortable writing a promotional post, following up with a training provider, or having a conversation with a young person or their family.
The role is ideal for someone with experience of outreach, building partnerships or community engagement, who can build trusting relationships with a wide range of people – from young people and families to colleges, employers and community organisations. You should be open to providing support to young people when needed.
We don't expect you to already have all the answers what matters most is your admin and organisational ability, your commitment to the communities we work with, and your confidence building relationships across a wide range of people and settings. We will support your development through supervision, training and a small, collaborative team environment.
We know not everyone will meet every requirement in the job description below, but if you feel you have what it takes, please apply and tell us how your experience and skills make you suitable.
If you are not sure what the work looks like or you want to ask questions before applying, we are happy to chat with you about the role. Please contact Mini Ravi (Programme Lead) by calling on our office phone.

Our services also include accommodation advice and advocacy, family support, community development, research, policy work and campaigns, and we support hundreds of individuals and families each year.
We are a small, committed and supportive team who seek to live our organisational values throughout our work: Collaboration, Courage, Empowerment, Inclusivity, Equity, Community.

Our team is dedicated to listening, exploring options, and taking action to meet our clients' best interests.
We provide a full induction, training and equipment including a laptop and mobile phone. It is a contractual requirement that all advocates hold or are working towards an advocacy qualification. The most recognised qualification is the City and Guilds Level 4 Independent Advocacy Practice Qualification (IAP) for practising advocates, previously completed City and Guilds Level 3 National Advocacy Qualification (NAQ). If you do not already hold an NAQ certificate or diploma or IAP qualification or equivalent, the expectation will be that you will gain the City and Guilds IAP qualification following successful completion of probation and pre-enrolment process.
