As the Business Development Coordinator, you will develop and manage relationships with a range of external partners, clients and stakeholders, creating opportunities that generate income and deliver value for KCLSU and its members. Working closely with internal and external partners and stakeholders, you will:

• Lead coordination and delivery of commercial activities, maximise revenue across KCLSU spaces and events.

Barnardo's are commissioned to deliver the services in Children and Family Centres in Warwickshire in partnership with a wide variety of agencies offering activities to children, young people and parents/carers. We support children, young people and their families to enable them to thrive, achieve, develop, and to build a resilience to cope with life.

Rugby Children and Family Centres are recruiting for an Early Years and Children's Practitioner to join the team of Early Years and Children's workers who deliver a range of groups including, Toddler Time, Baby Time, Baby Massage, Baby Signing and Chatter Matters, Family Time and After school clubs and Saturday activities. 

The Early Years Practitioner will have responsibility for delivering some of the activities in our 3 centres and at our outreach sites in Rugby, working independently or alongside the team of staff, volunteers and students.

This post is part time (19.5hrs per week all year round). There is a requirement to work one Saturday morning per month and hours are reclaimed as TOIL. The salary is £26,003 (FTE)  £13,704.28 (19.5hrs)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (AI/ML) to join our AI Platform team.

Oak's AI Platform team builds and maintains our core AI infrastructure, including shared services, prompt libraries and reusable pipelines. This is essential in enabling our product squads to deliver safe, effective and scalable AI features that support teachers and pupils across the UK.

You'll take a leading role in shaping Oak's AI Platform, contributing towards the technical direction for reliable, safe and scalable AI capabilities. You'll work with product squads to turn ambiguous problems into robust solutions, provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, and help establish the patterns, tooling and standards that enable responsible AI delivery across Oak.

You'll work across the boundary between machine learning and software engineering: taking the same ownership of production reliability, testing and developer experience as other senior engineers on the team, while keeping safety and responsible AI at the centre of what you build.

In this role, you may work on:

• Enhancing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including context chunking, prompt construction and implementing strategies to improve relevance and accuracy.

• Optimising embedding and vector similarity systems through semantic search, clustering, filtering logic and dimensionality reduction techniques.

• Supporting model evaluation and safety tooling, such as automated test harnesses, hallucination detection, content moderation and input guardrails.

• Contributing to model fine-tuning, prompting and deployment, with a focus on balancing performance, accuracy and cost-effectiveness.

• Lead the continuous improvement of Oak's machine learning models and systems, from prototype through to production at scale.

• Understanding of machine learning ethics, fairness frameworks and responsible AI principles, including bias detection and privacy-preserving data practices.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced and driven policy professional to lead Asylum Aid's external policy and advocacy work at a pivotal moment for refugee protection in the UK. 

The UK asylum and immigration systems are under sustained pressure.  Successive waves of hostile legislation and increasingly difficult political environment have cause serious harm to people seeking international protection and made already complex systems even harder to navigate.  At this time there is an urgent need for effective, well-evidenced voices in Parliament, Whitehall and the courts that keeps human experiences at its centre. 

Our proactive and prioritised policy advocacy is evidence-led, based on the experiences of survivors, collective expertise and/or the HBF group’s research findings. Asylum Aid, as part of the Helen Bamber Foundation group, uses its legal expertise and evidence to secure ongoing policy and systems change by:  

·Providing evidence and recommendations to central government through reports, briefings, consultation responses, oral and written evidence to parliamentary select committees and parliamentary lobbying. 

·Ongoing direct engagement on improvements to policy and practice with civil servants in the Home Office, Ministry of Justice and other relevant departments.  

·Working collaboratively with others in the asylum, trafficking and children’s sectors to highlight issues in the asylum and trafficking systems, and push for recognition and respect for international asylum, trafficking and human rights obligations.  

·Undertaking strategic litigation to secure change that cannot be achieved through policy advocacy. 

As Policy  Specialist, you will be Asylum Aid's policy and advocacy lead - responsible for shaping our policy positions; driving our advocacy strategy; building and managing coalitions across the sector; and ensuring that the voices and experiences of our clients directly inform our external work. You will be managed by the HBF Group Director of Policy, Evidence and Communications, and work closely with AA’s Executive Director and legal team. As well as coordinating and undertaking joint policy work with HBF, you will ensure close working relationships with partner organisations and coalitions and be a visible and credible presence in the wider refugee and human rights sector.

• Provide clinical expertise and input on a distinct project with a service improvement focus related to the UK Parkinson’s Audit.

• Be a UK-based clinical healthcare professional, working in Parkinson’s or with extensive interest and expertise in the condition, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. Healthcare professionals living with Parkinson’s are also encouraged to apply.

• Have a good understanding of the landscape of health and social care delivery, education and workforce development to support the strategic aims and objectives of Parkinson’s UK.

• Be skilled in sharing insight and lived experience with a range of stakeholders to help inform decision making.

• Have an understanding of clinical audit processes. Experience of working with or contributing to the UK Parkinson's Audit is desirable but not required.

• Experience with a database used in a Parkinson’s service.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to build and manage successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior clinicians.

• Experience of operating in a modern digital workplace, including using digital tools, platforms and techniques to work collaboratively and productively.

East London Rape Crisis provides free, confidential specialist support for women and girls who have been raped or experienced any other form of sexual violence or abuse at any time in their lives, regardless of whether or not they have reported to the police. We offer confidential and independent support.  Services include advocacy, emotional and practical support, one-to-one counselling and group work.

About You

The Women’s Caseworker provides proactive short-term support and casework to female victim-survivors of sexual violence. You will work as part of a growing feminist Rape Crisis service that is developing to meet the needs of women and girls. This post involves travel across East London, and a hybrid model of home, outreach and office working.

We’re looking for a highly organised and self-motivated woman who is passionate about ending violence against women, girls and children. You’ll have a ‘can-do’ approach and demonstrable commitment to nia’s feminist approach to supporting women and girls. The Vacancy

We are currently recruiting two Policy and Public Affairs Officers.

The Policy and Public Affairs Officer will play an important role in delivering NCB’s policy and public affairs priorities. This role will develop evidence-based policy positions through analysis, research, and collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. It will advance these positions by producing high-quality policy papers, reports, consultation responses, and blogs.

The Role

Panel Member 

We are seeking proactive and passionate individuals to join our Fostering Panel. We welcome applicants with a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and therapeutic care, and a commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people in care.

We are particularly interested in hearing from:

• Foster carers
• Individuals with lived experience of care who have lived within a children's residential, foster or adoptive home.
• Professionals from therapeutic backgrounds
• Professionals with experience and background in Education or Social Work

The successful applicants must be IT literate, as documentation is shared at online meetings on a monthly basis. The Panel meets via Microsoft Teams on the second Tuesday of each month, but additional meetings may be scheduled as needed. The successful candidate may need to travel to attend an annual panel business day in person and other occasional meetings and training. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Reading the meeting documents carefully before the meeting and attending the meeting prepared to raise issues and to contribute to the panel discussion.
• Participating in the making of recommendations on each case, drawing on both personal and professional knowledge and experience.
• To attend at least 75 per cent of meetings of the panel.
• To be prepared to attend additional panels, if possible, if requested.
• To participate, with other panel members, in advising on policy and procedural matters as required.
• To address diversity issues and promote anti-discriminatory practice.
• To safeguard the confidentiality of all panel papers and panel discussions.
• To participate in panel induction and in panel training, which will be at least one day per year.
• To participate constructively in the annual review of their panel membership if this is an agency requirement.
