This role involves managing a caseload of service users who require early intervention or preventative support for their mental health, helping them to achieve positive outcomes and greater independence. Strong listening and verbal communication skills are essential, enabling you to engage confidently with individuals who may be experiencing crisis, as well as with statutory and voluntary agencies both in person and over the telephone. You will have knowledge of recovery-focused approaches, mental health and wellbeing support services available within the local community, and the ability to assess needs, risks and aspirations while identifying appropriate support and signposting opportunities. The role requires excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills, with the ability to work dynamically and remain effective under pressure. Good IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and internet-based systems, are important, as are strong literacy and numeracy skills to produce accurate and professional written correspondence. A sound understanding of safeguarding responsibilities is essential, together with the ability to respond appropriately to concerns. You will be a collaborative team player who can work independently when required, support the induction of new peer staff and volunteers, and build positive partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes for service users.

Project Worker - Day Centre
Full-Time 37.5hrs per week

Purpose of Role
Firm Foundation is a growing organisation committed to supporting people experiencing homelessness. This role sits at the heart of that mission, working directly with clients at our Day Centre to help them access suitable and sustainable housing, navigate available services, and engage with FirmFoundation's wider projects. Job tasks
· Part-time: assist at FirmFoundation’s Day Centre sessions five times a week for 3 and half hrs and 1hr per month for supervision
Full-time: lead a small team ensuring that the Day Centre runs smoothly and manage our clients with a trauma informed approach
· Ensuring sufficient supplies of “Shower Packs” for the Day Centre sessions

About the role:

Nia House is consists of 3 services, Nia House, Coningham and Sulgrave in the North Cluster. We support people with enduring mental health crisis aged 18+ who have housing and support needs. They may be leaving hospital, registered care, be homeless, threatened with homelessness or living in accommodation that is not meeting their identified needs. The services will be also used as a ‘step up' or ‘step down' from other supported accommodation, where appropriate.
A day in this role looks like….
As a Senior Recovery Support worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Mental Health and Complex Needs service. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.
A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:
- Empower a caseload of clients to manage their health and wellbeing, maintain their independence, identify their strengths and achieve their goals and aspirations, working in partnership with our subcontractors as required in order to achieve this, under the direction of the Team Leader.
- To clearly articulate the aims and objectives, pathway and service model to people using the service so they can fully participate in and co-produce their support.
- Empower service users to engage effectively in their liaisons with professionals within the community such as social work teams, housing providers, health professionals, JCP etc.
- Work flexibly as part of a team to ensure service coverage and that contractual obligations are met.

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker for a fixed term period of up to 12 months, on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Kentown Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Kentown Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.
Having worked in a demanding and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.
