SPEAR is a charity working to end homelessness across South West London. We believe homelessness should be rare, brief and non-recurring, and our teams work every day to support people into safe, stable accommodation.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated manager to lead a 14-bed, 24-hour supported hostel service in Richmond. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the service, ensuring it operates safely, effectively, and in line with SPEAR’s values, while delivering high-quality, trauma-informed support to residents with complex needs.
About the role
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will:
- Lead and manage a team including a Team Leader and Support Workers
- Ensure safe staffing levels and effective rota management
- Oversee safeguarding, risk management, and incident response
- Drive high standards of service delivery and resident support
- Build strong relationships with local authorities and partner agencies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, including fire safety and building standards
- Support residents to progress towards independence and move-on opportunities
You will combine operational leadership, staff management, and service development to create a safe, respectful, and recovery-focused environment.

Job Title: Development Manager

Job Summary
The Development Manager will be a dynamic and experienced fundraiser with strong technical skills in grant and funding solicitation, management and stewardship across Crisis Action’s current donor targets including major foundations, governments, and High Net Wealth Individuals (HNWI). They will serve as the anchor of a newly configured fundraising team designed to support Crisis Action to nurture its existing donors and secure the next generation of support for its ground-breaking work.
This role is pivotal in ensuring excellence in our outreach, proposals, reporting and communication to drive resource mobilisation that is essential for the organisation’s financial sustainability at a time when our distinct model and way of working is needed more than ever.
Principal responsibilities
Donor engagement and communications
- Oversee and coordinate day-to-day engagement with current and prospective foundation, government and individual donors by members of the Crisis Action team
- Represent the organisation vis-à-vis donor representatives
- Support HNWI donor benefits structure and cultivation plans
- Prepare compelling and timely donor reports, donor updates, letters of receipt and other outreach materials in collaboration with finance and campaign teams.
Grant management and oversight
- Ensuring timely and skilled drafting, consultation and sign off of high-quality grant proposals
- Timely acknowledgement of all contributions and compliance with donor requirements
- Preparation of high-quality proposal budgets and financial reports for donors in compliance with grant specifications and deadlines, in close cooperation with the Finance Team

Strategic vision and guidance:
- Provide strategic support to the Chief Executive Officer on short- and long-term fundraising strategies and broader resource mobilisation initiatives to ensure our fundraising strategy and its implementation helps achieve organisational goals

Research and intelligence:
- Carry out donor research and provide strategic insights and donor related updates and background information to relevant colleagues.
- Monitor and ensure a solid pipeline of donor prospects
Team coordination and collaboration
- Ensure that there is a clear workplan that anticipates what has to happen when to guide team resource allocation and workload management
- Ensure effective and efficient processes of gathering and sharing information across the team to support timely donor engagement and stewardship with clear protocols on the cadence of team calls and written updates

Communications
- Ensuring effective and timely communications to donors, Crisis Action’s board and team
- In collaboration with the CEO, ensure timely and regular flow of information to the team on fundraising progress

Data and Systems Management
- Sustain, manage and where possible further develop the relevant administrative infrastructure, including grant tracking and reporting systems, Salesforce contact database, events calendars, contact lists, donor profiles, website and annual report donor acknowledgement lists and meeting minutes
Job Specifications
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in fundraising, donor relations, or development within the non-profit or international advocacy sector
- A proven track record of engaging with foundations and government officials to secure and manage grants
- Demonstrated ability to forge new donor partnerships, and a track record of bringing in new revenue
- Strong understanding of government and foundation funding landscapes with at least some familiarity with differences between them and the stewardship of major gifts from individual giving
- Experience in drafting compelling fundraising proposals, reports and donor updates for a variety of donors – foundations, governments and individuals
- Strong all-round communication and storytelling skills
- Experience producing a range of communications materials for different audiences

Salary & Benefits
Salary: We have set bands for the salary range for all positions at Crisis Action. The baseline of our salary range for this position is £40K per annum.
Benefits: 25 annual leave days (30 days after 3 years). Up to 6% contribution to pension. 3-month long service leave after 6 years and one-month sabbatical leave in year 10. CA additionally offers an annual inflationary increase, and 2% salary increase in year 2, 4 and 8 subject to availability of funds.

Fundraising at the Sutton Trust
We are seeking a dynamic and confident fundraiser to be our Corporate Partnerships & Events Manager. The Sutton Trust is at an exciting point in our organisational journey, with a new Chairperson and ambitions to significantly grow our impact and fundraising as part of our 2030 strategy.
Over the past five years the impact of the Sutton Trust has increased, especially with our programmes which have gone from supporting 11,000 young people a year to 14,000 in the 24/25 programme year. We have secured a relatively stable income of c.£6m over several years, and in the last two years this has grown to £7m+. Our organisational strategy, which takes us to 2030/31, will continue this fundraising trajectory with a need to increase annual income on a sustained basis to £12m. With corporate income accounting for nearly half our fundraised income, there is considerable enthusiasm and opportunity in the corporate world for building strategic partnerships with The Sutton Trust.
Our fundraising approach will continue to focus on major gifts and strategic multi-year partnerships, leveraging a range of drivers to secure corporate support. Our highly engaged Chairperson has a commercial background and is keen to leverage contacts in the corporate world, giving a network of prospective contacts to explore.
The role and team
As Corporate Partnerships & Events Manager, you will be an experienced partnership manager and fundraiser, confident in securing new business through active prospecting and networking along with experience in securing and stewarding strategic partnerships with corporates and their associated corporate foundations. You will have an entrepreneurial mindset for income generation, able to confidently manage competing demands to balance securing new partnerships and delivering high quality account management to your portfolio of current and prospective supporters.
The role will lead a portfolio of corporate partnerships, focused on delivering shared strategic goals to increase social mobility in the workplace and supporting a more socio-economically diverse workforce for the future. The role will be the point-person within the Development Team for organisational events, working closely with key colleagues in our marketing & events and programme functions to support delivery of high-quality events. They will also take responsibility for delivering successful stewardship events, including programme visits. It will be crucial to work closely with a range of stakeholders, especially colleagues, to deliver successful stewardship events that showcase the varied work of the Sutton Trust and engage supporters with our work. Main duties
New Business

Personally scope, develop and secure new five-figure+ corporate partnerships, aiming for a diverse and robust portfolio of partners with multi-year commitments, working with the Head of Corporate Partnerships, other senior staff, and senior volunteers appropriately to secure and steward.

Proactively approach new business development within the corporate sector, cultivating relationships and networks to grow awareness of The Sutton Trust and secure major gifts.

Events, Account Management and Development

Person Specification
We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:

Experience in successfully securing, managing, and developing corporate partnerships at five-figures-plus level, from initial prospect research to contracting and ongoing stewardship.

About the role
The role is to lead the work of Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea, working with a small skilled staff team and a range of volunteers and other community stakeholders. About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled line manager with experience in general welfare advice to join Sufra NW London. In this highly rewarding role, you will oversee the delivery of services that can measurably change lives by providing quality advice and support to those most in need.

What the job involves
We’re looking for a Senior Evidence Officer to join our Data and Evidence team, who make sure our work is informed by the latest prostate cancer research. The team build and maintain our evidence base and turn complex findings into clear insight that helps drive change and improve outcomes for men.
As our Senior Evidence Officer, you’ll review and interpret clinical and scientific evidence on prostate cancer to inform Prostate Cancer UK’s positions and priorities. You’ll lead projects that ensure our strategic activity is underpinned by robust evidence, helping identify the health policy and clinical practice changes that will make the biggest difference for men.
You’ll analyse new and emerging research, making sure clinically effective advances are reflected in our strategic work. You’ll also design and lead in‑house research studies from start to finish, from developing objectives and writing protocols through to analysing and interpreting results, alongside carrying out evidence reviews to address gaps in knowledge.
Working closely with colleagues across the charity, you’ll contribute to horizon scanning so we stay informed about developments in research and clinical practice. You’ll support teams to use evidence accurately and confidently, work with policy and health influencing colleagues on technology appraisals and consultations such as NICE and SMC and respond quickly to evidence requests from across the organisation, including the media team.

What we want from you
We’re looking for a Senior Evidence Officer who enjoys working with evidence and using it to inform meaningful change. You’ll be confident critically appraising a wide range of evidence sources and drawing balanced conclusions about how that evidence should be used. You’ll be comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data, including interpreting statistical outputs from clinical trials and audits. You’ll likely have experience working at postgraduate level in health sciences, or equivalent practical experience gained through your career.
You’ll have experience designing and leading research or analysis projects that generate new evidence, and you’ll feel confident supporting others to develop sound research methods. You’ll also have a good understanding of how health services and systems work across the UK, including the data sources that support them.
You’ll be a clear and credible communicator, able to explain evidence in a way that lands with a wide range of audiences. You can move easily between writing technical research papers and creating accessible summaries for non‑specialist audiences, translating complex information into plain English. You’re comfortable working across teams, juggling different requests for evidence and responding accurately and on time.
Experience of conducting literature reviews, including rapid, semi‑systematic or full systematic reviews and broader evidence syntheses, would be a bonus.

Position Overview:
Epic is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Programs team to manage relationships and grants of nonprofits in our portfolio, and monitor and support their work over time. In particular, this role will lead the development and management of a learning community to support our grantees and alumni beyond our financial support.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit strategy and/or social entrepreneurship, experience in designing and facilitating peer learning and capacity-building initiatives, and a deep passion for social impact and strategic philanthropy.
The Senior Programs Manager will work under the supervision of the Programs Director and they will be part of a growing team with colleagues in London and Paris.

Key responsibilities:

Manage the relationship and continuous monitoring of portfolio organizations. This involves acting as the point of contact for a portion of the portfolio's organizations, including reviewing and analyzing monitoring data and supporting grant-making processes. .

Develop, promote and manage a program made up of initiatives and practices that contribute to the organizational development and growth of nonprofits. This would include developing capacity building initiatives and facilitating peer learning spaces responding to grantees’ needs.

Contribute to the selection of strong organizations for the Epic portfolio. This will notably involve conducting due diligence following Epic's framework, reviewing processes and documents, conducting interviews with candidate organizations, and carrying out selection visits.

Contribute to the development and management of effective partnerships for Epic's programs (e.g., sourcing partners for selection, pro bono partners for capacity building, etc.) and identify collaboration opportunities.

Work with the Programs team to implement systems and processes to evaluate the impact of Epic's programs worldwide and contribute to demonstrating the value of unrestricted funding.

Contribute to Epic's research program and knowledge management (reports, case studies, analysis of trends and developments in the philanthropy field) and help develop Epic's thought leadership and reputation as a key player in the philanthropic sector on smart-giving.

Facilitate and liaise with other teams within the foundation, to keep portfolio organizations' data, analysis and information up to date to support its relationships with donors and target audiences.

Participate in the development and execution of the Programs team's strategy, in alignment with Epic's mission, values, and organizational objectives.

Required skills and qualifications:

7+ years experience in non-profit organisational development and programs and / or philanthropy strategy and grant-making.

Technical expertise in one or more of Epic’s key priorities (i.e.: social entrepreneurship, social impact evaluation, youth empowerment and trust-based philanthropy).

Previous experience and knowledge of appropriate tools and methodologies to build capacity and learning processes for organisational development and scaling social impact.

Expertise of working with relevant IT, such as CRM systems and project management tools. In particular familiarity of working with AI, to help enhance efficiency, learning and analysis.

The Senior Manager, Policy & Campaigns will be central to this mission, leading the development of policy positions and research that strengthens Mission 44’s ability to influence decision-makers and shape public discourse.
Mission 44’s impact model brings together strategic investment (through grantmaking) and targeted influence to drive systemic change. The Senior Manager will work closely with grantmaking teams to ensure that insight from funded work is embedded in policy and research, while also feeding learning and evidence back into funding strategies to strengthen decision-making and maximise impact.
The role will lead and manage Mission 44’s policy and research agenda, acting as a key point of contact for partners and building trusted relationships across government, the education and youth sectors, and civil society. The role will lead the development of policy recommendations, commission and translate research into clear, actionable outputs, and collaborate with internal teams and partners to align policy priorities with wider organisational objectives and maximise influence.
The role also plays a critical role in advocacy and external engagement, ensuring Mission 44’s voice is present in key policy moments, supporting strategic campaigns, and connecting research and insight to high-impact opportunities that drive political attention and sustained change at a national and global level.

POLICY
- Lead the development and delivery of Mission 44’s policy strategy, aligned to organisational priorities and focused on driving systemic change for young people
- Develop clear, evidence-based policy positions and recommendations that influence government, civil society, the education sector and key decision-makers
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with policymakers, advisors, think tanks, academics, and sector leaders to strengthen Mission 44’s influence
- Identify and shape opportunities to influence policy agendas, consultations and legislative processes at national and global levels

ABOUT YOU: SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
- Strong experience in policy development with a track record of influencing decision-makers
- Experience shaping or contributing to successful community-led movements, advocacy campaigns or policy change initiatives
- Deep understanding of political and policy-making processes, ideally in education, employment, social justice, or youth-focused areas
- Experience in participatory and youth-centred research approaches, including co-creation with young people and gathering insight through polling, perception studies and stakeholder engagement - alongside more traditional research methods
