The role

We are excited to be seeking a Head of Transformation to help shape not only major change initiatives, but also the culture, behaviours, and ways of working to enable better long-term outcomes and experiences for patients, families, staff, and volunteers.  The role will embed a more structured, transparent, and outcomes-focused approach to organisational delivery, by developing frameworks and standards, helping teams deliver change consistently and confidently.

This key leadership role, reporting into our Director of IT, Estates and Digital Transformation, will help to build our culture to support our organisational transformation, by encouraging accountability, collaboration, planning, and continuous improvement.  The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across clinical, operational, corporate, and support services, visibly developing relationships and bringing people on board to ensure change, both digital and non-digital, is delivered in a practical, supportive and proportionate way, while remaining fully aligned to organisational priorities and governance requirements.  The role will lead, develop and coach a small team of Project Managers and Business Analysts, encouraging full business analysis capability across the organisation, while adopting an appropriate risk management approach.  The role will make a tangible impact across the work of Phyllis Tuckwell, both clinically and operationally.

About you

How this is delivered, through the building and developing of relationships across the organisation, will be key to the success of this role. 

We are looking for a people-focused and values led individual who can combine strong delivery expertise with the ability to influence behaviours and culture.  Proven experience leading organisational change and delivery frameworks is vital, along with a strong understanding of project and change management principles.  The knowledge, and experience of embedding of business analysis capability would be of advantage.  Qualifications or experience in areas such as PRINCE2, MSP, Business Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, or organisational change are helpful.  Whilst previous experience within a health care or a hospice environment is not essential applicants should understand the importance of working in a people-focused, regulated environment.

The successful candidate will have excellent stakeholder management, emotional intelligence, and facilitation skills; being able to challenge constructively while maintaining trust and engagement.  They should hold strong communication skills, being able to explain complex concepts in accessible language, along with demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities of our Surveyor: 

- Manage a designated portfolio of properties, delivering repairs and maintenance as required

- Be a property expert for colleagues across the estate, giving high levels of service and support.   

- Oversee property works in alignment with retail and operations managers within agreed SLAs 

- Assess property issues and take appropriate action 

- Maintain accurate records across estate/FM databases and cloud-based systems

- Provide advice on retail/commercial lease acquisitions and disposals 

- Liaise with agents, landlords, neighboring occupiers, solicitors and local authorities

About the Estates and Construction team: 

The Estates and Construction team manage a wide-ranging and diverse portfolio that reflects the breadth of the estate. Within the region covered, the portfolio includes purpose-built cat adoption and homing centres (both freehold and leasehold), a network of leasehold charity shops, multi-pen sites, and a small number of residential properties. Occasionally, surveying expertise is also required for matters relating to legacy properties. 

What we’re looking for in our Surveyor: 

- Level 6 or higher professional surveying qualification

- Current membership of a professional institution such as RICS, RIBA, CIBSE, CIOB, IWFM 

- Post qualification experience of surveying in a property or facilities management environment 

- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

- Working Knowledge of retail/commercial leases, acquisitions and disposals 

- Multi-site and use property management and compliance experience 

- Experience of working on and managing small building or maintenance projects up to £500k, including financial controls as EA or CA and contractor management 

- Ability to work within a small team and externally with professionals and third parties

- Strong Microsoft Office skills

Acquisition Manager (Maternity Cover)

ActionAid is seeking an innovative and driven Acquisition Manager for 10-month maternity cover contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver acquisition strategies across digital and offline channels like Face2Face fundraising. Your role will identify new audiences, test new products and campaigns, and optimise acquisition performance to build a strong and sustainable pipeline of supporters.

Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, communications and data insights, you’ll bring together insight, creativity and strong project management to deliver campaigns that not only perform but connect and inspire new supporters to take action with ActionAid.

Interim Digital Project Manager

The interim Digital Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a portfolio of digital and systems projects across the Association. This role encompasses hands-on management of multiple projects ensuring that key systems such as website, HR, finance, customer relationship management (CRM) and learning platforms are effectively implemented, integrated and optimised to support the Association's strategic objectives.

Core responsibilities within your role will be:

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of the website redesign project, including planning, governance, supplier management, and delivery against timelines and budget

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Qualification and training:

• A post-graduate qualification in a relevant social sciences field e.g. international development or legal studies, human rights, gender studies, or equivalent experience.

Essential Experience:

• At least 5 years’ experience in the women’s rights and feminist sectors with demonstrable capabilities in strategic, partner-centred, evidence-based, decolonial feminist advocacy leadership in UK and Global Advocacy spaces.

• In-depth knowledge on core women’s rights normative standards and intersectional feminist principles that guide policy and influencing work within the UK and globally. This includes how diverse women’s rights thematic areas intersect and how this is integrated into strategic influencing and advocacy.

• Astute networking skills and ability to successfully build and leverage relationships with diverse partners, allies, government officials and intergovernmental bodies for strategic advocacy and influencing.

Communications & Engagement Coordinator

We’re looking for someone with strong writing skills, confidence working across digital channels and an interest in student engagement, communications and storytelling.

You’ll support the delivery of clear, effective and engaging communications that help students better understand and connect with the Guild’s work.

Contributing to communications activity across a range of channels, you’ll helping showcase student voice, campaigns and organisational impact through accessible and audience-focused content. The role includes supporting internal communications, proactive PR activity and translating complex topics into clear and engaging messaging for student audiences.

About this job

We’re looking for a confident, skilled, and personable Digital Project Manager to help us deliver our ambitious roadmap of projects.

You’ll lead on the delivery digital, creative, UX, campaign and content-based projects. This’ll include everything from the digital and content elements of major campaigns, through to developing new digital tools or content to help people live well with MS.

You’ll thrive working with cross-organisational teams to deliver projects on time, to scope and within budget, using methodologies that best fit the challenge you’re trying to solve.

What you will do:

Some key responsibilities include:

• Lead digital projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within time, cost, risk, and quality parameters.
• Manage project plans, budgets, and risks, addressing and escalating changes and impacts on timelines and budgets promptly.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and develop communication plans to keep them and the organisation up to date with project progress and performance.
• Coordinate the development and monitoring of project metrics, ensuring variance and performance are reported to relevant stakeholders.
• Regularly report on project progress and performance, and conduct retrospectives to improve future processes.
• Help refine and evolve the project management methodology within the organisation, mentoring colleagues and promoting best practices in digital project delivery.
• Contribute to quarterly programme planning and alignment across projects.
• Examples of projects you could work on include our welfare campaign in relation to the government’s plans around PIP (Personal Independence Payment), Search engine optimisation initiative or annual winter fundraising appeal.

The Unifrog platform

Over the last 12 years, the Unifrog platform has grown enormously from its starting point as a simple tool to help students pick their UK university courses and apprenticeships. It now helps young people from 4 years old up to explore their interests, record the great things they’ve done, compare every post-16 and post-18 course in the UK and every undergraduate programme taught in English in the world, find and organise work experience, and draft their application materials. The platform also helps teachers and career advisers to guide students every step of the way, makes it easy for parents to explore the platform via their own accounts, and helps employer and university recruitment teams to interact directly with students. 

We have a long list of exciting projects for the platform, always aiming to get us closer to achieving our mission. We are looking for someone to join Unifrog’s team to help us continually improve the platform’s existing tools, and to also develop new ones. 

What you’ll do

You’ll work on improving the platform itself, mainly how data feeds into our platform and makes it work behind the scenes, as well as maintaining and improving the processes that drive our development cycles. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Dev cycle administration

  • Owning our dev cycle administration from beginning to end, across Productlane and Linear. This includes:

    • Managing inbound product requests that have been logged on our Productlane account;

    • Updating Linear with developments that we aim to work on, are working on, or have launched;

    • Communicating updates to the team, including writing and sharing changelog posts, and creating clear documentation for changes that have gone live.

  • Testing functionality for upcoming or newly released changes to the platform.

  • Liaising with the team members for whom new developments are most relevant, to ensure that they have fed into plans for upcoming changes, and are happy with changes that have gone live.

• Troubleshooting platform functionality issues
  
  Investigating then answering questions about platform functionality that are raised by our partner-facing teams.

• Point person for two technical integrations
  
  Becoming the point person for questions about the platform’s technical integrations, specifically SSO, and Wonde (MIS integration).

• New data projects
  
  Supporting projects that improve how data feeds into the Unifrog platform, for example, scoping the requirements for changes to our tool that allows teachers to make bulk updates to student information.

You’ll become an expert in:

• How the Unifrog platform works behind the scenes, with a particular focus on how complex datasets feed into the platform and power our tools;

• Technical tools that are vital for school partners (e.g. SSO and Wonde);

• The needs of all our different user types, including students, teachers, school groups, universities, employers, and parents;

• How to navigate the platform as a user of each type;

• Finding opportunities to improve our platform, particularly when data processing is key to success.

• How our development process works, our product tech stack, and what is needed to make sure it runs as efficiently and effectively as possible;

 

You’ll be part of the team that:

• Collates feedback on the platform, deciding which changes to move ahead with, and how;

• Translates user feedback into clear, actionable requirements;

• Investigates potential bugs and comes up with suggested solutions;

• Communicates platform changes to the Unifrog team;

• Answers queries about the platform from colleagues.

 

Working together

You’ll regularly be working with:

• The Platform and Data Manager, who will support you in your development administration and project responsibilities;

• The Data team, of which you will be a part, alongside whom you will work to maximise the impact of your projects;

• Unifrog’s two co-founders, who lead on the development of the Unifrog platform;

• User-facing colleagues, to understand what our users are asking for, as well to let them know what things have changed on the platform.
   

You will be line-managed by the Platform and Data Manager.

• Diligent: Our platform is complex and has many different sorts of users. You’re the type of person who enjoys getting to the bottom of issues, and meticulously testing things from all angles.

• Analytical and proactive: You’re comfortable looking at data to solve problems, whether that’s figuring out why an integration failed or evaluating which areas of the platform receive the most feedback.

Head of Group FP&A: £85,000 - £93,000 + Enhanced Benefits | London | Hybrid Working

For a large, global organisation, we are recruiting a Head of Group FP&A. Leading a team of 4, the Head of Group FP&A sits at the heart of Group and Global Finance, and leads Group MI, Reporting, Planning and Forecasting across the organisation. The role oversees cash and balance sheet forecasting for the Group and Subsidiaries and ensures insightful reporting to external stakeholders. Liaising with the Shared Service Centre, Centres of Excellence, and Regional finance teams, this role will shape and embed the implementation of new planning and reporting tools and will work with the business to create best-in-class FP&A processes during a time of substantial change and transformation. The Head of Group FP&A will shape and embed a unified finance culture and service model and will deliver a new planning tool (Anaplan) as part of the Finance Transformation Programme across the UK, International Regions and Global Strategic Business Units, partnering with Regional FD's and Business Directors.

Main Duties:

• Provide first-class Group FP&A and MI reporting service globally and regionally, for all strategic business units
• Ensure all Group FP&A processes meet the organisation's strategy, objectives and TOM

The Laing Family Trusts are a group of four grant-making trusts which provide funding for a wide range of charities engaged in promoting Christian faith and values and in the relief of poverty both in the UK and overseas.

The Trusts are going through an exciting time of transition, with changes in our staff team, new Trustees, a planned move to a new database which will facilitate the introduction of online processes, and the launch of exciting new funding programmes – Constructive Pioneers, encouraging science and engineering innovation in the built environment, and a place-based programme on the Isle of Wight-, all contributing to the organisation’s growth as we prepare for the future. The Grants Manager role will be a crucial support to these developments. 

This is an excellent opportunity to gain meaningful experience and use your knowledge of the voluntary sector in a small but busy and friendly environment, supporting charities helping those in need.

The successful candidate will be actively involved in the delivery of all aspects of the grant-making process, including research and identification of potential grantees, assessment (including site visits), participation in decision-making, grant offers, monitoring and evaluation. At an exciting time of growth, they are now recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to join their small, committed team.

The Operations Manager is a pivotal senior leadership role within the organisation, responsible for strengthening the operational backbone of the organisation. This role ensures that the organisation’s buildings, systems, people, suppliers and processes operate smoothly, safely and compliantly, enabling high-quality youth work delivery. The Operations Manager provides strong day-to-day operational leadership and discipline, freeing the CEO to focus on strategy, partnerships and organisational growth. The postholder will be highly organised, practical and accountable, with a strong focus on implementation and follow‑through.

To apply for this role, you will have significant operational management experience in a charity, public sector, education, community or similar environment. You will have demonstrable experience of managing multi‑site operations, facilities or complex operational systems and will have proven experience of workforce planning, operational delivery and implementing organisational change. You will have experience of managing suppliers, contracts and procurement processes and will have a strong understanding of operational compliance, risk management and audit readiness. Overall, you will be practical, organised and solutions-focused, with the confidence to work across teams and with trustees, suppliers and external partners.
