About the role:

Recovery looks different for everyone, and meaningful opportunities can be a powerful part of helping people move forward. As a Recovery and Opportunities Coordinator, you’ll take the lead in creating a programme that gives clients across Ashley Road, Milton House and Highbury New Park the chance to build confidence, strengthen their wellbeing, discover new interests,develop new skills and take positive steps towards greater independence.

This is a hands on and creative role where you’ll turn ideas into activities that people genuinely want to take part in. You’ll design and deliver engaging group work covering areas such as mental and physical health, relationships, substance use, life skills and learning, while creating opportunities that support clients to prepare for moving on to more independent accommodation. You’ll use a strengths based and trauma-informed approach, adapting what you offer to respond to people’s interests, goals and experiences.

Alongside this, you’ll champion co-production, support colleagues, volunteers and peers to get involved in delivering the programme, and help make recovery and social inclusion a visible part of everyday service delivery.

At Single Homeless Project (SHP), you’ll be encouraged to keep developing your own practice too. Through training, supervision and reflective practice, you’ll have opportunities to deepen your knowledge of recovery, trauma-informed approaches and group work, while playing an active part in shaping how we support people experiencing multiple disadvantage.

About the Role

You may be a qualified IDVA or a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker wanting to work alongside professionals in a multi-agency environment, although we will consider applicants from other fields providing you are able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of both domestic and sexual violence.

This role involves both face to face and virtual support in a hybrid model of working. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office in Singer Street.

As a DRIVE Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:

• Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
• Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic and sexual abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic and sexual abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic and sexual abuse.
• Have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to be able to influence the way in which this service is delivered are key.

• You will need to:
• Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic and sexual abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
• Have a good understanding of domestic and sexual abuse including the impact of abuse on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic and sexual abuse and their children.

The Language & Learning Officer will provide support and guidance to volunteers and learners, and
work with the Project Manager to plan and organize enrolment days, enrichment activities and
tailored support to learners. We believe this will be an exciting role helping people who are re-
building their lives to learn a new language, meet new people, and feel part of a community. The
Language & Learning officer will work within and alongside the wider Language and Learning team
with the primary purpose of providing an exemplary level of support to ESOL learners and
volunteers. The role may also involve supporting activities and workshops delivered by the rest of
the team.

The role has three key strands:

• Volunteers’ coordination and support: working with the Project Manager, you will be supporting volunteers in their roles and ensuring the smooth running of systems and communications, leading to clients’ and volunteers’ satisfaction.
• Daily administrative tasks using our CRM system and other platforms to track the support provided, plan enrolments, ensure consistency of information, and notify the Project Manager of any safeguarding concerns.
• Direct support to English language learners, including session planning and occasional delivery, ad-hoc casework support, and collaboration with other organizations to provide a rich curriculum that meets the needs and desire of our learners.

Frontline Support

Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) is an East London charity supporting people affected by homelessness and addiction to rebuild their lives. We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Recovery Community & Therapeutic Service Manager to lead the development, delivery and continuous improvement of our Recovery Community and Therapeutic Service.

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker for a fixed term period of up to 12 months, on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Kentown Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Kentown Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.

The Grants Compliance Officer plays an important role in supporting the effective financial management and oversight of AmplifyChange's grant portfolio.
