Following the growth of the Income Generation team Severn Hospice is expanding.

Progress towards objectives will be regularly reviewed through key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring that targets around supporter engagement, outreach activities, and campaign effectiveness are met and exceeded where possible and our future goals are achieved.

You will also develop links with local solicitors, funeral directors and other community partners to raise awareness of our care and the impact legacies can make. Part of your objectives will include expanding these professional networks and tracking partnership outcomes as a key indicator of success.

As Events and Communications Officer, you will take ownership of our annual events programme, including our flagship fundraising event, the Envision Cycling Challenge. This is a great opportunity to support local communities, working with Adult Carers and Young Adult Carers and helping them to make informed choices, build confidence, sustain their independence, and access support that meets their individual needs. You will carry out assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need, working together to co-produce support plans. This will involve meeting Carers in community settings and conducting home visits. The team also facilities coffee mornings and activities offering Carers opportunities for peer support and to take a break from caring.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

We have full and part-time roles available (minimum 22.5 hours), and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults in a relevant sector. It’s essential that you are confident using IT and maintaining excellent records. We are seeking a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) or Low Intensity Psychological Worker to support survivors of sexual trauma and their loved ones through evidence-based, low‑intensity psychological interventions.

You will work closely with a wide network of main contacts and partners, including PCFT GM Resilience Hub, TRC, Greater Manchester Rape Crisis, Manchester Action on Street Health (MASH), local authority partners, third‑sector organisations, multi‑disciplinary teams, service users and carers, and services across the adult mental health pathway.

The role operates across three sites within Greater Manchester, making the ability and willingness to travel between sites essential. You will work flexibly in partner organisation settings and in the community, collaborating with individuals, carers and multi‑agency providers to assess and identify social care needs that may present barriers to clients addressing their sexual trauma.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver evidence‑based, low‑intensity interventions for survivors of sexual harm and their loved ones
• Support clients through effective engagement, communication and practical coordination
• Work collaboratively with the Community Development team, counsellors and volunteers to ensure survivors can access appropriate and timely support
• Manage communication between clients, partners and services, contributing to joined‑up, trauma‑informed care
• Assist in supporting and working alongside volunteers where required

• Engage with women‑only services and partner organisations to ensure safe, inclusive and responsive support

About you

You will be a qualified and experienced practitioner with a background in mental health, trauma‑informed practice and engagement. Experience of working within women‑only services supporting those who have experienced sexual harm and their loved ones is highly valued, though we also welcome applicants with strong transferable skills.

As we continue to diversify and grow our commercial revenue streams, we are seeking a proactive Commercial Marketing Assistant to support the promotion of key income‑generating initiatives. These include Champing (unique overnight stays in historic churches), filming, venue hire, and an expanding portfolio of leased or licensed properties. The role also offers scope to contribute to new commercial opportunities in the future.

Working within the Initiatives and Partnerships Team and alongside the Communications Team, the role supports marketing activity across a broad range of commercial initiatives, including Champing, filming, venue hire and regional commercial activities.

The postholder will develop marketing content, manage commercial marketing channels, support campaigns and respond to enquiries to help grow audiences and revenue.

The role also contributes to research, reporting and operational support for commercial activity.

• Provide independent, impartial advice on immigration and welfare issues (including housing, benefits, health, education, training and employment).

• Maintain clear, professional boundaries and ensure confidentiality at all times.

Individual Giving Lead When You Wish Upon a Star | £30,000–£35,000 | Nottingham / Hybrid | Permanent

When You Wish Upon a Star grants life-changing wishes for children with terminal and life-threatening illnesses. Every wish is a memory that lasts a lifetime for a family facing the unimaginable. We are looking for someone to develop and lead our individual giving function. You will shape the strategy, grow and steward our community of individual supporters, and define what this looks like for Wish. You will have the full backing of the CEO and board, direct access to senior leadership, and the freedom to bring your own thinking, creativity and ambition to a function that is yours to build.

What you will be doing 

You will identify, engage and grow a community of individual supporters who feel deeply connected to our mission, developing propositions and campaigns that are emotionally compelling and inspire long-term giving. You will represent Wish confidently, create the systems and supporter journeys that enable sustainable growth, and lay the foundations for an individual giving programme that grows in both income and impact. As income grows, so does the role. The expectation is that this person builds not just a strong base of individual supporters but, in time, a team around it. 

You will work closely with the Head of Income Generation and Board, with realistic targets in the early stages that give you the time and space to build meaningful relationships rather than focus on short-term gains. This is not a role where you will be left to figure it out alone. It is one where your ideas are valued, your judgement is trusted, and your ambition is actively supported. 

What you will bring 

Experience developing, growing or significantly influencing individual giving income streams, including regular giving and lottery programmes, and engaging supporters at scale to inspire long-term and higher-value giving. Experience of managing the end-to-end supporter journey through CRM systems, using insight and data to drive acquisition, retention and growth. 

A strong instinct for understanding what motivates people to give, and the ability to turn that insight into campaigns and experiences that feel personal, compelling and effective. Comfort with ownership, and the confidence to create momentum and build something from the ground up.

About the Role

As a Nightstop Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for young people facing homelessness—assessing needs, coordinating safe emergency placements, and guiding them toward longer‑term support. It’s a fast‑paced, people‑focused role where every decision you make helps keep a young person safe and heard.

You’ll also nurture strong relationships with referral partners, support and motivate our volunteer hosts, and help grow our Nightstop network across the North East. Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a full-time (37.5 hours a week), permanent role.

Key deliverables:

Supporting Young People

• Conduct needs and risk assessments with potential Nightstop guests.
• Arrange the logistics of a guest’s stay with a volunteer.
• Work with guests and referral partners to offer support and opportunities for longer term accommodation.
•  Provide support to guests and volunteers through a 24 hour on call phone service.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of guests and volunteers in the service at all times.
• Comply with data protection and information sharing protocols.

Marketing and Stakeholder Management

• Attend meetings and events and manage relationships with referral partners and other stakeholders.

Administration

• Maintain up to date records on all guests and volunteers.
• Support with the creation of reports.
• Support with financial payment and recording systems.

Volunteer Recruitment, Promotion and Engagement

• Develop promotion plans with the aim of recruiting Nightstop volunteers
• Effectively onboard new Nightstop volunteers in a timely manner
• Support current volunteers and continue to engage them with the service by providing updates and involvement opportunities
• Complete the nessecary health and safety checks with new and current volunteers

Other

• Be an active member of the team, collaboratively effectively and work closely with your line manager.
• Undertake further duties as commensurate to the role identified by your line manager.
• Provide support outside of office hours on some evening and weekends.

In the 1980s, high unemployment and steep inflation was contributing to a shocking rise in youth homelessness across London. Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. Appalled by the scenes playing out across the capital, a group of people came together to tackle the challenge head on. Led by Cardinal Basil Hume and Mark McGreevy OBE, in 1989 Depaul UK was born.

Prospectus is delighted to be working with our client to recruit an outstanding Head of Grants and Inclusion to lead its grant-making cycles and act as the face of the organisation to the small charities and community groups they fund. This is a senior, highly visible, and rewarding role for someone who thrives on building relationships, understands the power of being present in communities, and is motivated by social impact.

The Role
As Head of Grants and Inclusion, you will be a senior member of the team, leading grants programmes and championing inclusive, community‑centred funding across the region.

This is a strongly external and public facing role. You will spend much of your time out in Oxfordshire’s towns, villages and neighbourhoods—visiting groups, attending community events, and building deep, first‑hand understanding of local needs. These in‑person connections are essential to how the organisation works and to the intelligence they provide to donors, partners and grantees. This leadership role will be the primary point of contact for leaders from the grassroots charities and community groups funded by the organisation. They will assess need, monitor grants, offer support, and build trusted relationships. They will be representing the organisatio at external forums and occasionally speaking to community audiences.

The Head of Grants and Inclusion is responsible for leading the organisation's grants decision‑making processes whilst ensuring fairness, rigour and inclusion. They are the key staff link with the expert Grants and Impact Committee which oversees the organisation's grant-making for the Board. They also present to and participate in monthly decision-making Grants Panels drawn from community volunteers. Monitoring and evaluating the impact of the organisation's funding is a key responsibility and this person will be responsible for utilising and developing the organisation's CRM database (Salesforce), including playing an active role in its upgrade. They will work closely with colleagues in the Oxford office, including attending the all‑staff day each Tuesday.

The Person
The successful candidate will have an established track record as a Senior Grants Manager in the UK and will be an organised, confident and natural relationship‑builder who believes that inclusion is essential to successful grant making.

They will have a strong educational background, excellent written and verbal communication skills with a good eye for detail and accuracy. They will also have strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload and support others to deliver on time (line management experience would be an advantage).  Fantastic customer‑service mindset, with empathy for volunteers and small organisations and the confidence working with databases and systems, ideally including Salesforce and a collaborative, solutions driven approach and a willingness to get involved across the breadth of a small organisation. They will be comfortable engaging with monitoring and evaluation concepts and knowledgeable or willing to learn about their application in a grassroots context.

This person will also need a natural enthusiasm for travelling across Oxfordshire and being out in the community on a weekly basis, a willingness to attend occasional planned evening events (with time off in lieu) and a full driving licence will probably be essential. They will either be living in the Oxfordshire region or willing to re-locate.
