About the Role: The Finance Officer (Income) is a vital member of the Finance team, responsible for the accurate accounting, reconciliation, and reporting of the Charity's diverse income streams. Working with colleagues across the Academy, Marketing and Communications, and wider teams, this new role is responsible for growing and nurturing engaged Academy audiences across online communities, social media, email and other channels. The role will plan, draft and publish approved content; moderate and manage online groups in line with community guidelines; and support the promotion of Academy learning opportunities through case studies, testimonials, photography and video content.
By monitoring audience growth, engagement and retention, maintaining accurate records and ensuring use of content is compliant with Battersea privacy and retention policies, the role will help demonstrate the impact of the Academy and support its ambition to reach, engage and benefit more organisations, individuals and animals.

Job Purpose
Oceana is looking for a talented and motivated campaign officer to join our team at a critical and exciting moment for our campaigns.
The role will support our Campaign Manager to deliver measurable progress to ensure the UK’s marine protected areas are fully protected from heavy industry such as industrial bottom trawling and dredging. You will also be focused on delivering campaign actions aimed at ending overfishing, once and for all. You will help Oceana embed its role as a leading organisation in the marine NGO space in the UK, and drive forward bold campaign actions that inspire meaningful and long-lasting change.
Eligible candidates should have some experience in campaigning, but we’re equally looking for passion, motivation and a drive to protect the ocean. You should be a self-starter, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
The position will be hybrid, based three days per week (Tues-Thurs) in Oceana’s UK offices in Newquay, Cornwall or Paddington, London. About the Role
Each year, we reach around 35,000 children and young people through the delivery of our Financial Education Money Workshops in schools, colleges and community groups across the UK. The Workshops are interactive, engaging and relevant, covering topics including budgeting, saving, borrowing, insurance, uni money and much more. Children and young people love having the chance to talk about money, ask questions and think about what they are going to do with theirs!
We are looking to recruit a member of staff to help carry out the day-to-day management of the Workshop content, resources and delivery through our freelance trainer network, as well as deliver some Workshops directly to children and young people themselves. The applicant will play a pivotal role in ensuring The Money Charity’s Financial Education work is carried out efficiently and to the best standards, with opportunity for in-role development and professional growth.
We are looking for somebody with the drive and initiative to take this area of work forward as we seek to grow our delivery levels and reach in 2027 and 2028. The applicant should have fantastic presentational skills, enjoy being creative, and be confident in a classroom environment. They should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to develop relationships with a range of stakeholders. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm for providing children and young people with life skills, as well as supporting the charity’s aims and objectives. The applicant must be able to work under pressure, deliver tasks to an agreed timescale and have the ability to manage their own workload, as well as working as part of our small, supportive team.
This varied role will provide an excellent opportunity for the applicant to influence and deliver our flagship, evidence-based programme with national reach, whilst also being able to enjoy the buzz of being in the classroom regularly themselves.
