Are you an experienced administrator with a passion for supporting educational leadership? We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and highly organised Coordinator to join our Leadership Faculty. In this pivotal role, you’ll coordinate the delivery and operations of our leadership programmes - including the School Trust CEO Programme and NPQs - across multiple regions.
We are seeking a candidate with strong administrative experience, particularly in coordinating events and managing processes that drive successful programme delivery. You will be highly proficient in MS Office software packages - including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook - as well as online databases and search engines. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, alongside outstanding interpersonal and written communication abilities.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and solutions-focused, able to adapt their communication style to suit different audiences. We provide a highly valued service to unpaid family and friend carers where they or the person they care for are a patient in hospital. The team work across 5 Acute and 7 community hospitals serving the residents of West Sussex.
You will focus on and play a vital role in our Support at Home after Hospital (SaHaH) service, providing time-limited, information, emotional support and access to practical assistance to eligible carers following discharge, helping them feel confident and connected during the move home.
Alongside SaHaH, you’ll spend a limited portion of your week offering guidance to carers during their hospital journey—primarily via phone—working collaboratively with NHS staff and partner organisations to ensure carers are included and informed.
You will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to take a proactive approach to overcoming obstacles and ensuring support for individuals navigating complex systems. You will be a natural communicator with excellent administrative skills and a strong attention to detail.

Key Role Summary

The Destitution Caseworker is a full-time post at the JRS UK offices in Wapping with regular visits to our houses in South London. The post-holder will be joining the Advice and Casework Team, a small and diverse team of Caseworkers, Befriending and Practical Support Coordinator and volunteers.
The Advice and Casework Team provides refugee friend led advice and casework, supported by the practical offering of hardship payments, regular mobile phone top-ups, and befriending. We also provide temporary accommodation through our hosting scheme 'At Home’ which has operated since 2012. Additionally, we also offer support through our 10- bedroom house for women and 6 – bedroom house for men in South London.
This role is busy and varied, with a focus on combining accompaniment with advice and practical support and assistance particularly to those in our accommodation project. The postholder will provide in-depth and proactive support on a broad range of issues including destitution and homelessness; access to legal advice; asylum support and health related matters. The postholder will utilise relationships with NGOs and specialist agencies, signposting and making referrals as appropriate.
They will be responsible for managing their own caseload and will support with the smooth running of the accommodation project and other aspects of the wider team.
The postholder should have a good working knowledge and empathy of the issues and challenges faced by destitute asylum-seekers and refugees, with particular focus on destitution, homelessness and access to immigration advice. They will need highly developed listening skills, personal resilience, and emotional maturity to respond to the emotional and practical needs of asylum seekers, accompany them and support them to positively progress with their lives. They need to have and maintain an up-to-date knowledge about the immigration and asylum context as it relates to our work with destitute refugees.
The Destitution Caseworker will be enthusiastic about working in a small faith-based organisation and have a willingness to integrate JRS UK’s ethos of accompaniment in their approach whilst also demonstrating sensitivity in responding to the needs of individuals facing destitution. They will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent communication skills and will adhere to JRS’ values and commitment to social justice and tackling racism and discrimination. They will work flexibly as a member of the team and organisation and undertake other reasonable duties and responsibilities as needed.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Accommodation:
• Preparing needs assessments and inducting guests and residents.
• Facilitating matching meetings and providing ongoing support during placements including review meetings.
• Coordinating food grants for accommodated refugee friends.
• Being the main point of contact and a supportive presence, providing basic advice and casework support for guests and residents.

Duties and Key Responsibilites
Sarcoma UK’s research programme
- To support Sarcoma UK’s grant application processes under guidance from the Research Manager. This will include calls for proposals, identifying expert peer reviewers, administering a high-quality peer and lay review process, communication with applicants and potential applicants, administration of grant awards and supporting patient involvement.
- To provide support to the Grant Review Panel and Research Strategy Committee, including organising meetings and preparing minutes.
- To manage Sarcoma UK’s portfolio of active research grants, under guidance from the Research Manager. This will include use of grant management software for administration of newly awarded grants, monitoring progress of current grants, oversight of grant finances and reporting on final outputs.
- To support opportunities for patient involvement within the research programme, including managing a network of lay reviewers and facilitating new opportunities, with support from the Involvement and Volunteering Coordinator.
- To support new developments in Sarcoma UK’s research programme, including organising and attending events, collaborative funding calls and initiatives to support early career researchers.
Research Impact and Communications
- To monitor and gather outputs and long-term impact of research grants funded by Sarcoma UK and support in ensuring these are shared with internal and external audiences.
- To plan and produce engaging and reactive and proactive communications about sarcoma research, including website, social media, written and video content, working with the Research Manager and Communications Team to ensure our research activities and outcomes are shared with the sarcoma community and wider public.
- To proactively engage with grant holders to gather impactful insights and to support engaging communication about sarcoma research.
- To regularly review and update Sarcoma UK’s website with progress updates on research grants and promote funding opportunities.
- To support work undertaken by the Fundraising Team where required, such as lab tours and supplying information about funded grants for donor reports.
External relationships
- To be a point of contact for Sarcoma UK grant holders and their host institutions.

ROLE PURPOSE:
ShelterBox is seeking an experienced humanitarian professional with strong partnership expertise to join our dynamic International Programmes Department (IPD).
In this role, you will work closely with the Partnership team, comprising the Partnership & Localisation Manager and Rotary Partnership Manager, to advance two key strategic priorities: strengthening ShelterBox's partnership approach and driving localisation.
The Partnership team leads on developing and implementing strategies that enhance collaboration, including our global partnership with Rotary International. Working across IPD and the wider organisation, the team is central to shaping systems, processes, and initiatives that ensure effective partnership management and deliver on our strategic goals.
As part of this team, you will support programme delivery through a partnership lens. Responsibilities include coordinating due diligence processes, managing partnership agreements, and mapping partnership approaches across our project portfolio. You will also play a key role in supporting and coordinating ShelterBox's engagement with Rotary International, collaborating with multiple departments, Programme Delivery, Programme Funding, Programme Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Learning & Development.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
ShelterBox is seeking a delivery-focused, pragmatic, and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to a growing area of organisation. They will conduct their role with integrity, flexibility, and a collaborative approach. The right person will have experience of working successfully in close-knit and multidisciplinary teams, partnership development. They will bring humanitarian or development sector experience, a strong interest in equitable partnerships, and exceptional coordination and administrative skills.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
· Support the Partnership and Localisation Manager and Rotary Partnership Manager to deliver key workstreams across the organisation.
· Provide administrative support, such as note-taking, facilitating workshops and supporting travel arrangements.
· Work closely with Programme Managers and Emergency Coordinators to coordinate and communicate our work with Rotary within our preparedness and response portfolio.
· Report to internal and external audiences on partnerships by providing updates via briefings, presentations, and written reports, including supporters and donors.
· Support best practice in Partnership Management, such as taking a role in collating lessons learnt across the region in current and past programmes and supporting delivery of training to Partners
· Support the Partnership and Localisation Manager, in the development of the partnership framework, in line with strategic priorities. This will be inclusive of incorporating the Rotary partnership within the framework.
· Coordinate the ShelterBox Localisation task force, inclusive of circulating agenda, noting and following up with key members on actions.
· Support the timely coordination of Due Diligence and partner organisational capacity assessment (OCA) process for partners, inclusive of conducting sanctions checks.
· Collaborate with the Programme Quality team to design appropriate partnership outcomes and outputs with indicators to be measured at programme and project levels, and ensure that learning on partnership is systematically captured and applied
· Support Programme Managers, Emergency Coordinators and the Grants Manager to ensure that the sub-grant agreements and terms of partnerships, as well as institutional policies and procedures are complied with by the partner organisations, including policies on safeguarding
· Support the planning and facilitation of periodic two-way partnership review processes, ensuring that discussions are as constructive, relevant, and mutually beneficial as possible; Follow up to ensure that mutually-agreed-upon actions are met
· Maintain awareness of external/sector best practice on partnerships, including Safeguarding, Protection, risk management and EDI
· Represent ShelterBox in any capacity as required.

The role is 21 hours per week. ABCT are flexible about how these hours are worked, such as over 3 days or spread over 5 days.
