About the role

The Senegal team are looking to recruit a Programme Manager Eye Health to oversee the development, co-ordination and management of Sightsavers programmes in Senegal.  The postholder will ensure alignment with Sightsavers policies and preferred programme approaches (in particular the principles of scalable demonstration approaches) working closely with the Country Director to maintain in- house quality standards on the delivery of programmes.

Key accountabilities but not limited to:

• Lead the development of country level action and implementation plans for eye health as agreed with the Global Technical Lead, Eye Health and Country Director, Senegal.
• Provision of effective management, coordination, technical advice and resource allocation necessary to support eye health in Senegal
• Deliver effective monitoring and support the evaluation of all aspects of the Eye Health programme, applying learning systematically to drive continuous improvement in projects and programmes
• Undertake regular monitoring visits to programme sites and to partners.
• Assist in preparing Budgets for projects and monitor expenditure against these, advising the Country Director on financial trends for example.
• Work with the finance team to ensure proper partner accountability for Sightsavers funds.
• Identify new strategic partnerships within the country to help develop Sightsavers eye health programme.
• Participate in all PR activities of the Country Office and represent Sightsavers at different forums in collaboration with the Country Director.

Essential knowledge and skills

• Degree in Medicine, preferably an Ophthalmologist or Postgraduate Degree in Public Health, Sciences or related disciplines.
• A proven track record within Programme/Project management, ideally in an INGO environment at PM level.
• Significant experience of strategic programme development.
• Technical knowledge on eye health in Senegal.
• Experience of managing an eye care programme in Africa, ideally in an international context.
• Strong advocacy, monitoring evaluation and research and logistics and supply chain management
• Current and ongoing right to work in Senegal
• Able to travel as and when required

• Provide financial management oversight on the project, verifying project-specific transactions and ensuring that financial data is up-to-date; and ensuring adherence to the organisation’s financial policies.
• Lead the project’s annual budgeting and forecasting process, allocating funds across country and global teams & operations.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (and holding an active membership with an accountancy body) with experience in designing, developing and strengthening processes and controls for complex multi-country, multi-grants projects.

• Experience of donor compliance and reporting, including of institutional donors with complex compliance and reporting requirements.
• Experience of working specifically in the context of sub-grantees and implementing partners on the ground.

The Role

About the role:

This is a home based role that will include travel across England and Wales when delivering training. You will be working within a specific project that delivers learning externally to other organisations outside of VS. Your primary goal will be to design and deliver high quality learning interventions based on what our customers need.

As an External Trainer you will:

The Organisation

Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs). As we believe in the Social Model of Disability, our values and principles embrace inclusive and accessible ways of working, seeking co-production and co-design from our Disabled members, encouraging and respecting diversity. AoD is a medium sized charity with a Board of Trustees, 27 staff, a strong pool of casual staff and volunteers, including many with lived experience of disability – all of whom are passionate about removing the barriers faced by Disabled people.

Action on Disability provides four key services: Youth, Employment, Welfare Benefits, and Independent Living.

The Project

Our Place is a project that is facilitated and managed by AoD. It is a 3-year National Lottery Community fund and Propel London funded project that will sit within our Independent Living Service. Our Place creates a community space and resource hub that Disabled people can call their own – led by them and facilitated by AoD staff. This service will be genuinely embedded in the local area, meeting needs expressed by local Disabled people to have their own place, and building links with amenities, businesses, and event spaces in Hammersmith and Fulham.

We want to enable businesses to feel more confident to welcome Disabled people and remove barriers. We want to create an inclusive and accessible space for Disabled people to socialise, build skills, pursue interests, and develop peer relationships.

Our Place operates alongside, and enhances, our current service provision. Central to this is ensuring that Disabled people have meaningful ownership over the space, from Steering Board input to operational delivery.

Disabled people will achieve their potential through four outcomes:

• Increased confidence, knowledge, and skills through opportunities to lead, learn and do new things.
• Reduced isolation and improved mental well-being through a place to socialise.
• Equity of access and participation in the local community.
• Mitigation of the pandemic’s impact, through building new opportunities.

The Post

We are looking for a full time Project delivery support officer with a commitment to the vision of AoD to promote Independent Living, Peer Support and Co-production within this project. You will have strong community project delivery, administration and support skills, good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to support the project and work effectively as part of a team. Your working hours will be dependent on the Our Place project activity schedule and may include early evening and weekend work.

Victim Support are looking for a full-time Victims Advocate to work on our Anti-Social Behaviour Project based in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.

This role is working full time 37.5 hours per week and is offered on a fixed term basis until the end of March 2026.

About the Role:

This role is based in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. As a Victim Advocate you will:

• Support victims of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Hate Crime.
• Collaborate with funders and partners to ensure optimal outcomes for victims.
• Provide specialist advocacy for victims with both complex and non-complex needs.
• Assist vulnerable, high-risk, and repeat victims of ASB.
• Engage in community work, liaise with the commissioner, and attend face-to-face appointments.
• Attend the monthly ASB MARAC (JAG) Meeting.

You will need:

• Experience working with vulnerable individuals and those affected by ASB and crime.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for data recording and reporting.

Refuge is recruitment for a Senior Policy and Research Officer to join it's successful Policy and Public Affairs Team.

The Senior Policy and Research Officer will be responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative research on issues affecting survivors of domestic abuse and propose robust, evidence-based policy recommendations as well as analysing policy developments and producing briefings, reports, and consultation responses to influence public policy. The successful candidate will bring excellent policy analysis, data analysis and research skills as well as strong communication and project management skills.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with survivors of domestic abuse to shape Refuge's policy programme to drive system change to end Violence Against Women and Girls.
