Our client is looking for an experienced and compassionate registered nurse to join their Hospice as Deputy Clinical Lead within their End of Life Urgent Care Service. ABOUT THE ROLE

• Support the Clinical Lead in the operational management and day-to-day delivery of the EOLUCS team.

• Work closely with internal teams and external health and social care partners to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.

WORKING PATTERN

This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week, with working pattern options including 5 days per week or compressed hours across 4 days. The role is primarily based at the Hospice with community visits as required.

We are delighted to be working with a pioneering health charity to recruit a Philanthropy Manager into a newly created and strategically important role within a growing fundraising team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation at a pivotal stage of development, as they invest in building a best-in-class fundraising function to support ambitious plans for future growth. The Philanthropy Manager will play a key role in developing and delivering a mid-value fundraising programme, helping to deepen relationships with an engaged supporter base and grow income through four- and five-figure gifts.
You will manage and develop a portfolio of supporters, identify and cultivate new prospects, and design tailored stewardship and solicitation strategies. Working collaboratively across the organisation, you will help to build a strong pipeline into major giving while ensuring supporters remain at the heart of fundraising activity.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Demonstrable experience securing four- and five-figure or experience working in individual giving, membership or supporter experience
• Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external
• Experience developing and managing supporter journeys

Working in a close-knit team you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding supporter experience while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and empathy in all interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for supporter enquiries via phone, email, and post, managing a high volume of inbound requests
• Provide professional, empathetic, and timely responses, resolving queries and escalating where necessary
• Maintain and update supporter records using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (including Direct Debit changes, preferences, and opt-ins/outs)
• Process donations accurately and ensure prompt acknowledgements
• Handle complex or exceptional cases outside of outsourced contact centre operations
• Support fundraising campaigns, including administrative support for mailings and seasonal initiatives (e.g. Christmas card campaigns)
• Use personalised templates to ensure communications reflect the organisation’s tone of voice
• Monitor and feedback on trends in supporter queries to improve processes and service delivery
• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure a seamless supporter journey
• Prioritise a busy workload to meet service standards and response timeframes

About You:

• Recent experience in a supporter care, customer service, or database-focused role within the not-for-profit sector
• Confident using CRM/database systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365)
• Exceptional attention to detail and a process-driven approach
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to personalise responses and demonstrate empathy
• Comfortable handling sensitive data with strict confidentiality and working to compliance standards
• A proactive, flexible team player with a “hands-on” attitude and willingness to support where needed
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Develop and implement strategic plans for corporate fundraising, aligning organisational priorities with targeted outreach.
• Organise and participate in face-to-face meetings, briefings, and networking events to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with leadership, programme teams, and other stakeholders to create compelling proposals and funding packages.
• Identify new prospects and tailor engagement strategies to convert them into active partners or donors, fostering long-term relationships.
• Lead on communications, including crafting newsletters and updates tailored for corporate stakeholders and supporters.
• Keep abreast of global geopolitical issues to identify relevant opportunities for engagement and support in line with campaign priorities.
• Maintain accurate records of activities and donor interactions using fundraising tools, tracking progress against targets.
• Prepare and contribute to reports, briefs, and presentations for both internal and external audiences, showcasing organisational impact.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience of at least 2 years in corporate or major donor fundraising, with a track record of successful engagement and solicitation.
• Confidence in engaging with senior corporate leaders and stakeholders across diverse sectors.
• Strong relationship-building skills, including diplomatic communication and active listening.
• Ability to work independently, organise own priorities, and achieve set targets.
• Experience in developing strategic engagement plans and tailored proposals.
• High levels of professionalism, with flexible attitude and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Enthusiasm for international development, geopolitical affairs, or related sectors is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a capacity to create engaging materials for different audiences.
• Familiarity with fundraising software/tools and performance metrics orientation.
• Collaborative approach and ability to work well within a team environment.

What’s on Offer:

• Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
• Location: London – hybrid
• Contract: 12 months FTC
