UEA is driving forward with its bold and inspiring £100 million Dare to Do Different Campaign, and our prospect research function sits right at the heart of this momentum.

​One of the key themes is Health UEA. This role is an opportunity to be a key player in driving transformational change, working hand in hand with our Pro-Vice Chancellor for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and as part of a dynamic fundraising team to uncover and engage high quality prospects. Your insight will help build a strong pipeline of potential major donors, supporting strategic health related fundraising that advances the University’s most ambitious priorities.

​The successful candidate will apply advanced prospect research methodologies and relevant technologies to identify high net worth individuals with both the capacity and the motivation to donate, helping us drive forward our ambitious health priorities whilst upholding the highest ethical standards.

​This part-time (0.5 FTE/18.125 hours per week) post is available from 1 August 2026 on a fixed term basis for two years.

AT Beacon Project Support Officer (Operations & Data)
Salary: £26,500 – £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract/hours: 12-month fixed term (with potential to extend) | 35 hours per week (flexible, with occasional evenings/weekends)
Location: Hybrid – Office / Home / Community Sites (Lambeth)

About the Role

This is a pivotal role at the centre of a growing, community-led health initiative. The Project Support Officer (Operations & Data) will play a key part in coordinating day-to-day operations, monitoring performance, and ensuring the smooth delivery of the AT Beacon Project.

Key Responsibilities

• Programme Operations & Delivery: Coordinate Beacon Hub activities and manage operational logistics and support the delivery of key initiatives, such as the Fruit & Vegetable Prescription Programme.
• Data, Reporting & Insights: Maintain accurate and high-quality data systems, produce regular reports, support dashboard development, and analyse trends to inform decision-making.
• Stakeholder & Partnership Support: Act as a key point of contact for internal teams, community partners, and public health stakeholders. Support effective communication and collaboration across the project.
• Senior Leadership Support: Assist with SMT coordination, prepare briefing materials, and track actions and deadlines.
• Events & Outreach: Contribute to planning and delivering community events, workshops, and outreach activities.
• Communications & Digital Support: Support website updates, digital content creation, and social media activity.

Person Specification

• Essential: Experience in project/operations/data roles; strong organisation; data reporting skills; MS Office proficiency; strong communication
• Desirable: Public health or social prescribing experience; partnership working; monitoring & evaluation knowledge.
• Core Competencies: Ownership and accountability, Analytical thinking, Adaptability and problem-solving, Collaboration and relationship-building, Attention to detail.

Role Overview:

This pivotal role involves developing and overseeing community fundraising initiatives, managing diverse teams, and collaborating on marketing strategies to strengthen supporter engagement.

The successful candidate will lead community fundraising efforts, manage a regional team, and work closely with marketing and stewardship initiatives. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape community engagement and support crucial health causes within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a regional team, including line management of four direct reports, volunteers, and support staff.
• Develop and execute community fundraising strategies, including relaunching the volunteer programme.
• Collaborate with marketing teams, particularly in understanding and reviewing Meta advertising campaigns and supporter engagement efforts.
• Oversee stewardship activities, ensuring effective recognition and support for supporters across varied donation levels.
• Build and maintain local partnerships and community relationships to enhance fundraising outcomes.
• Support the delivery of innovative fundraising products, such as birthdays, anniversaries, and wedding initiatives.
• Ensure all outreach activities align with organisational goals and compliance standards.

Person Specification:

• Proven experience managing a community fundraising team or programme.
• Knowledge of digital marketing, specifically in working with Meta advertising and PPC campaigns.
• Familiarity with volunteer management or volunteer programme development.
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of managing a diverse team and engaging with external stakeholders.
• Experience in stewardship strategies to maintain supporter loyalty and maximise income.
• Organisational skills to manage multiple projects and oversee automated supporter engagement journeys.
• Adaptability to work in a hybrid environment with a flexible approach to on-site requirements.
