SUMMARY OF SUPPORT & HOUSING MANAGER

The Support & Housing Manager is a management role responsible for leading frontline staff, overseeing the quality of frontline support, and ensuring GrowTH’s Housing Project and wider support work operate safely, effectively, and in alignment with GrowTH’s purpose: enabling people experiencing homelessness to receive an excellent quality of holistic support in the practical, emotional, and social areas of their lives – as well as to encounter Jesus and experience genuine life transformation.

The role ensures that services not only function well operationally, but consistently deliver on GrowTH’s mission, promise to people, and values – supporting individuals to move from crisis towards stability, community, and restored identity.

ABOUT FRONTLINE SERVICES

GrowTH’s Frontline Services are:

1. Night Shelter (church based, rotating model)

2. Housing Project

GrowTH’s Frontline Staff currently are:

1. Night Shelter Advocate Workers (x2)

2. Housing Worker (x1)

As GrowTH develops its new Hub model, the Support & Housing Manager will play a key role in ensuring that the Night Shelter, Housing Project, and wider support functions operate as part of one joined-up pathway. Through effective management of frontline staff, the role will help create a culture in which staff are developed in their roles, work closely together, share insight appropriately, collaborate around complex cases, and ensure that guests and residents experience consistent support as they move between different parts of GrowTH’s work.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operational Oversight of Frontline Services

The S&HM will oversee the quality and consistency of support delivered across GrowTH’s frontline services, including support provided to Night Shelter guests through the Advocate Workers, while holding direct management responsibility for the effective running of the Housing Project.

1. The S&HM ensures frontline services consistently embody GrowTH’s promise by creating an environment where individuals are welcomed with dignity, experience belonging, are supported to move forward, and have opportunities to explore the Christian faith.

2. Managing the effective running of Frontline Services through monitoring the quality and consistency of support delivered by staff using the following: Line Management reports (monthly); statistics; casework files; support plans; move on plans; resettlement processes and regular calls to referral agencies and churches to gather feedback on GrowTH staff.

3. Manage and support frontline staff in resolving operational issues and practical service delivery challenges.

4. Holding a small, focused frontline caseload, alongside their wider management responsibilities. This will include direct casework with a limited number of guests and residents, particularly within the Housing Project, where additional management input, continuity of support, or more complex casework is required. The S&HM will also work alongside frontline staff on complex cases, support plans, move-on planning, key meetings, and periods of increased frontline need, modelling high-quality, relational, well-recorded and appropriately boundaried support. This casework involvement should also be used to model good practice, strengthen casework quality, and support the development of frontline staff in their roles.

5. Manage and support frontline staff to improve the quality and effectiveness of guest and resident move-on by:

o Monitoring referral levels into services

o Monitoring move-on pathways and move-on discussions

o Assist frontline staff in identifying system blockages (e.g. move-on, referrals) and facilitating solutions to unblock them.

6. Ensuring consistency and clarity in how frontline services operate

7. Ensure GrowTH accommodation is safe, well maintained, and compliant with all relevant requirements.

8. Ensuring appropriate boundaries and expectations are maintained

2. Overall Management and Oversight of the Housing Project

The Support & Housing Manager will hold overall responsibility for the safe, effective, and mission-aligned running of GrowTH’s Housing Project, which currently provides accommodation for 16 residents. Working closely with the Housing Worker, the S&HM will ensure that the project provides stable, affordable, well-managed accommodation alongside clear, tailored support that helps residents move towards independence, community, and long-term housing stability. Responsibilities include:

1. Providing overall day-to-day leadership and management of the Housing Project, ensuring it operates safely, consistently, and in line with GrowTH’s values, policies, and purpose.

2. Supporting and overseeing the Housing Worker in their work with residents, ensuring support plans, risk assessments, case records, move-on plans, and resident engagement are of a high standard.

3. Ensuring residents are welcomed, treated with dignity, and supported to make progress in practical, emotional, social, and spiritual areas of life.

4. Overseeing referrals into the Housing Project, including suitability discussions with the shelter/support team, referral partners, and prospective residents.

5. Ensuring that residents are appropriately inducted into the project, understand the expectations of their licence agreement, and are supported to sustain their placement well.

6. Monitoring rent, licence fee, service charge, arrears, and housing-related financial processes in liaison with the relevant administrative/finance staff, ensuring that residents are supported to keep payments up to date and that financial issues are addressed promptly.

7. Ensuring Housing Project properties are safe, well maintained, appropriately furnished, and compliant with relevant health and safety, fire safety, gas, electrical, and housing requirements.

8. Managing day-to-day operational relationships with key housing stakeholders, including landlords, housing associations, contractors, maintenance providers, and other relevant agencies, particularly in relation to repairs, lettings, inspections, safety checks, rent/service charge issues, property standards, and resident sustainment.

9. Ensuring that Housing Project policies, procedures, house expectations, and resident agreements are clear, up to date, implemented consistently, and reflect actual practice.

10. Overseeing resident support, including budgeting, benefits, employment, training, life skills, wellbeing, relationships, community engagement, and preparation for independent living.

11. Ensuring appropriate boundaries, accountability, and standards of behaviour are maintained within the Housing Project, responding to concerns, complaints, safeguarding issues, and breaches of expectations in line with GrowTH procedures.

12. Managing move-on planning for Housing Project residents, ensuring residents are supported to prepare for suitable accommodation and that links are developed with appropriate move-on providers and pathways.

13. Working with the Director to review and develop the Housing Project, identifying strengths, gaps, risks, opportunities for improvement, and future development needs.

3. Staff Leadership, Performance, and Development

Ensure frontline staff are supported, effective, and accountable. Responsibilities include:

1. Line management of frontline staff

2. Performance management and addressing challenges in service delivery

3. The S&HM will model and cultivate GrowTH’s values within the team, ensuring that staff:

a. Demonstrate compassion and consistency in their work

Context and purpose of role

At the Ramblers, our ability to connect with supporters, manage members, and empower volunteers depends on the smooth running of our CRM (Salesforce). The CRM Operations Analyst plays a vital role in making this possible.

By managing day-to-day CRM operations, handling imports, selections, and user support, you ensure that colleagues across the organisation can trust the data they use and work efficiently. Your contribution means communications are targeted and accurate, volunteer and supporter records are reliable, and teams can focus on their mission rather than system issues.

Your work ensures that colleagues can rely on accurate data and smooth processes, so supporters receive timely communications, members feel well served, and volunteers have the information they need to play their part.

Key Responsibilities

User Support & Administration

• Provide first-line technical support for Salesforce, resolving user issues related to access, new fields, layouts, and general functionality, escalating complex configuration or system-wide issues to the Senior Database Administrator where required.

• Provide second-line support for record-level data issues (e.g. duplicates, permissions, missing fields, or data discrepancies), escalating where necessary for complex data or automation errors.

• Provide guidance to staff on how best to use Salesforce for their day-to-day needs.

• Maintain and update user accounts, roles, and permissions.

• Deliver basic in-house training sessions and user guides to support adoption.

• Day-to-day responsibility for co-ordinating routine GDPR-related deletion requests.

Data Management & Imports

• Manage regular data imports

• Run reconciliations with Finance to ensure CRM records align with income systems.

• Support data quality initiatives, including deduplication and validation.

• Maintain GDPR consents, preferences, and data hygiene standards.

Reporting & Dashboards

• Build and update simple CRM reports and dashboards.

• Help staff use reports effectively, and create custom reports where needed

• Collaborate with the Analyst Engineer and Data Analyst to ensure consistency between CRM and business insights dashboards.

Configuration & Changes

• Make declarative (no-code) changes to Salesforce (e.g. page layouts, fields, validation rules, workflows).

• Support the Senior Salesforce DBA in testing and deploying small changes.

• Help enforce configuration standards and document processes.

Integrations & Pipelines (Support Role)

• Monitor automated data flows between Salesforce and other systems (e.g. Azure Data Factory pipelines, Mailchimp).

• Escalate complex pipeline or automation issues to the Senior Database Administrator or Analytics Engineer.

• Support basic configuration tasks to ensure reliable system-to-system connections.

Essential

· Hands-on experience using Salesforce (ideally beyond “super-user” level, but full Admin certification not required).

· Familiarity with data imports and reconciliation processes.

· Ability to write and run SOQL or SQL queries at a basic level.

· Experience building reports and dashboards in Salesforce.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling supporter data.

· Good communication skills, with the ability to support non-technical colleagues.

· Understanding of GDPR and the importance of data protection.

· Salesforce Administrator certification (or willingness to work towards it).

· Familiarity with Gift Aid, Direct Debits, or other fundraising processes.

Your role

You will be the main point of contact for participants, providing outstanding supporter care from registration through to event day and beyond, helping each person feel motivated, supported and valued throughout their fundraising journey.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of the challenge events programme, with a primary focus on recruiting, supporting and stewarding London Marathon 2027 participants.
• Providing excellent supporter care from registration through to post-event thank you, helping participants feel informed, motivated and valued.
• Keeping in regular contact with participants by phone, email, post and in person to encourage fundraising activity and maximise income.
• Supporting recruitment through digital campaigns, partnerships and enquiries, and helping to share supporter stories with colleagues across marketing, communications and volunteering.

You will be a confident communicator with excellent customer service skills and a warm, professional approach to building relationships. You will be highly organised, able to manage multiple deadlines and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. You will bring strong attention to detail, good administrative skills and a genuine enthusiasm for charity fundraising.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience of building positive relationships, delivering excellent customer service and communicating clearly with a wide range of people.
• Is highly organised, able to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines, and brings strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Understands charity fundraising, is motivated by the difference supporters can make and can work with others to achieve income goals or targets.
• Is confident using Microsoft Office and maintaining accurate records, with experience of fundraising databases or digital platforms being an advantage.
• Is positive, enthusiastic, flexible and professional, with a can-do attitude and willingness to support occasional evening or weekend activity.
• Experience of events fundraising, supporter engagement, digital fundraising platforms such as JustGiving, or motivating runners and challenge event participants would be an advantage. A UK driving licence and access to your own car would also be desirable.

About the role

Site locations

The SERT region, covers the south east of England, extending from Hampshire in the west to Kent in the east, with the northern border being south of the Thames, extending down to the English Channel.

Our office is based in Leatherhead which you will be required to attend approximately four days a month.

The amount of travel required depends on the role, and can be extensive. Most travel for an individual will be to work on project sites, which can be remote, or attending external meetings within the SERT region. The geographical range and frequency of travel is role dependent.

To support travel costs, SERT pays mileage at the current HMRC amount for travel within the SERT region. We do not pay mileage, time or any other costs for travel outside the SERT region, nor for any commutes to the office. Toll charges cannot be claimed.

Training Coordinator

Location: Cathedral House, Westminster Bridge Rd, London, SE1 7HY

Reports to: Director of Youth

The Youth Ministry Training Coordinator is responsible for the development and delivery of a youth ministry training programme across the Archdiocese.

This includes coordinating a structured formation course (in partnership with external providers), mentoring participants, and supporting parishes and deaneries in building local youth and young

adult groups.

The role also includes supporting the formation of the Archdiocesan Mission Team and key events.

Success in this role will be measured by the development of our training and a growing network of confident parish-based youth leaders.

1. Course Delivery

· Develop our Archdiocesan youth leadership training programme, working with external providers and delivering bespoke material.

· Plan and deliver regular training (bespoke and with external providers), including in-person days and remote input as appropriate.

· Maintain an annual training calendar and ensure course content aligns with Archdiocesan strategy, safeguarding requirements, and parish needs. Assist in the development of practical youth ministry training resources for clergy.

2. Mentoring and Formation

· Mentor and accompany participants through the external training course, offering personal and spiritual support.

· Ensure learning is embedded in the parish or deanery setting so that

· parishes are able to set up and enhance local level groups.

· Track participant progress and provide regular feedback and evaluation reports.

3. Local Youth Leader Development

· Support and enable the recruitment and training of local volunteers, in collaboration with clergy and lay leaders.

· Support the identification and development of deanery-based youth contacts from existing and developing networks to promote the work of the Youth Service in parishes and cascade key information.

· Experience in mentoring or accompanying individuals in a faith context.

Therapeutic Management

• To manage and support a staff team, including the Head of Active Recovery, a Counselling Lead, Nexus Counselling Manager, a Family Support Group Facilitator, and administrators.

Role Purpose 

The key responsibilities will include Project coordination, coordinating financial information, monitoring campaign activities, assisting with donor reporting and proposal writing, engaging with and coordinating EIA team members in planning, delivery and performance tracking, liaising with external stakeholders including donors and advocacy partners, supporting with the production of campaign and communication materials and providing support for organising workshops and events.

Finance

• Assist with budgets for all project-related activities, complete reconciliations and accurately reporting expenditure during trips

Location and Working Hours

This is a home-based role with flexible remote working arrangements. Regular travel across the UK is required to support conferences, trustee and committee meetings, planning days, and other organisational activities. On average, this is expected to be around once a month, although the level of travel will go up and down, with some periods busier than others. Proven ability to maintain high standards of advice quality through effective case management, file reviews, compliance monitoring and adherence to Advice Quality Standards (AQS), GDPR, safeguarding and organisational policies. Experienced in supporting junior advisers through coaching, guidance, knowledge sharing and quality improvement activities.
