Team Leader
Service: Bolton Listening Lounge
Salary: £28,884 - £31,698 FTE per annum (£23,419.46 - £25,701.08 per annum for part-time, 30 hours per week)
Location: BAND, 125 Deansgate, Bolton, BL1 1HA
This post is office based working evenings and 3 weekend evenings on a four week rolling Rota (One full weekend, a Saturday or Sunday evening and two weekends off). Our office space is wheelchair accessible.

Working in partnership with Greater Manchester Mental Health Foundation Trust and MhIST (Mental Health Support Team), the Bolton Listening Lounge is a collaborative approach to providing mental health and wellbeing support from late afternoon into the evening. It provides a safe space for people who are experiencing mental distress or who feel that they are going through a personal crisis. Our service staff will offer low level calming interventions and one to one support to identify the cause of the emotional distress and to put in place a plan including signposting and referring on to other organisations and services.
We are looking for someone with knowledge and understanding of Mental Health conditions and their impact on daily living and a strong track-record of working with individuals and their families to deliver positive outcomes. You will provide leadership to a small team of Support, Time and Recovery workers and demonstrate a commitment to a one team approach. You will have demonstrable experience of supporting staff or volunteers in their role and aptitude for managing professional relationships.
Main Responsibilities:
1. To provide leadership, guidance, supervision and appraisal to a small team of STR workers and to work with the Service Manager and HR on any absence, conduct or performance issues as they arise.
2. To be committed to providing an integrated one team approach to people who use our service and to work as part of a team to provide support to people using the Listening Lounge
3. To support STR workers to develop good practice in service delivery, recording and risk management skills and to implement Quality Assurance activities to monitor practice.
4. To manage risk and safeguarding effectively, offering support and advice to staff and monitoring high risk cases, ensuring that escalation processes are appropriately and consistently applied, and updating the Service Manager and external agencies as required.
5. To support workers in delivering targeted work with individuals to plan their support and achieve the goals and outcomes that are important to them, and to work with the wider Listening Lounge team to support the development and implementation of an action plan to support the individual.
6. To actively promote the use of outcome tools and analyse relevant data to support the Service Manager in delivering on KPI’s as required. To produce outcomes focused reports which evidence achievement and to adhere to timeframes at all the times.
7. To be responsible for the Health and Safety of STR workers on a day-to-day basis, including ensuring local policies and procedures are adhered to.
8. To develop and maintain networks with other organisations and agencies in order to strengthen safe working practices for service users, in line with organisational and local policies and processes
9. To maintain accurate case records and up-to-date case files using the agreed case management and recording system (currently INFORM). To ensure information handling is compliant with GDPR law and FA policies and procedures.
10. To attend and when required to chair team meetings.
11. To make a commitment to regular supervision, including the ability to be responsive to critical challenge, advice, feedback and direction.
12. To have an understanding and to comply with, Family Action’s procedures for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
13. To deputise for the Service Manager as and when required.

The Diocese of Rochester is seeking a Stewardship Manager to play a key role in increasing the financial resources available for mission across the Diocese. About the Role

About You

· Is confident in teaching, preaching, and communicating about giving in a range of contexts
· Has strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and can motivate others to embrace new approaches
· Has a strong understanding of finance and the ability to analyse giving trends and data
· Is highly organised and able to manage multiple relationships and projects

What does this role do?
As Regional Marketing Manager, you will:
- develop a strong knowledge of our audiences in South East England, understanding the areas local to our rehoming centres. Translating this knowledge and insight into bespoke, targeted activity for the audience, you will be responsible for driving awareness of the brand in the region,
- work with other teams within Marketing and Communications to translate organisational strategy into regional plans. Working with local rehoming centres, you will be responsible for understanding the regional perspective, and presenting suitable alternatives or solutions where necessary,

Purpose of the role:
The Energy Advice Coordinator will provide essential advice to people affected by spinal cord injury who are struggling with, or at risk of fuel poverty, helping them to improve their situation while recognising and responding to the unique challenges that spinal cord injury can bring. They will manage a caseload offering practical solutions, whilst developing referral pathways to connect them with relevant services to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their fuel costs.
The role will also lead the development of knowledge and skills across Back Ups’ staff and volunteer teams, developing easy to use resources and an understanding of when and how to escalate cases for more in-depth advice. They will work closely with sector charities and advice organisations to ensure a high quality of seamless support while creating a lasting legacy for people affected by spinal cord injury.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To provide impartial advice to householders on the telephone, at events or online group events.
- Make use of internal and external referral systems to ensure clients’ needs are met;
- Respond to enquiries from the public, local authority staff, private and voluntary sectors or installers and, where appropriate, redirecting them to members of staff or other agencies;
- Maintain quality of advice and information as required
- Work with the wider Back Up team to create resources to support people affected by spinal cord injury, both digitally and physically.
- Work with Back Up’s services team to embed and deliver group based online advice sessions in our support groups and course modules.
- Develop and lead a programme to ensure Back Up’s services staff and volunteers develop a baseline of knowledge that enables them to identify and provide basic information to people affected by spinal cord injury around energy efficiency.
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' energy needs and identify potential solutions and further sources of support through telephone-based support.
- Provide tailored advice on energy-saving measures and support schemes to the caseload.
- Work collaboratively with local authorities, energy providers, and other relevant organisations to ensure comprehensive support for those in the caseload.
- Educate people affected by spinal cord injury on energy efficiency and ways to reduce their energy consumption.
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions and support provided, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Support the project manager with the development, delivery, and evaluation of the energy advice project.
- To maintain up to date, working knowledge of sustainable energy matters, affordable warmth, renewable energy, water heating and usage.
- At all times, ensure that advice service and activity are in line with the requirements of the project;
- Effectively utilise existing sources of data to identify suitable opportunities to meet customers’ needs.
- Stay up to date with relevant policies, schemes, and best practices related to fuel poverty and energy efficiency
- To develop and implement partnerships and referral routes that support people affected by spinal cord injury with relevant energy advice.
- Liaise with organisations to develop partnerships by utilising appropriate resources and support mechanisms;
- Represent Back Up at various partner meetings;
- Develop and maintain effective operational partnerships with key delivery agents and stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on the impact of interventions and support provided.

Essential:
- Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within Energy Advice or similar area.
- City & Guilds Energy Awareness 6281-01 or the ability to achieve this.

Under the direction of the Head of Risk and Compliance, the Compliance Manager plays a central role in ensuring robust, Charity-wide compliance across all areas of the Charity’s operations. This is a hands on role where you will shape practical HR processes, support managers and help build a healthy, resilient workplace within a small charity working to secure justice for survivors of trafficking and modern slavery.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Sister Circle team and lead our contribution to a newly formed partnership to deliver integrated, trauma-informed, culturally attuned support to minoritised women survivors of domestic abuse who are accessing or have accessed safe accommodation across London.
Sister Circle is a women-led charity with 45 years' experience of advancing health equity and justice for women from diverse communities. Rooted in our local communities, we work to ensure women and families receive compassionate, accessible and culturally informed support.

The Role
As the Project Manager, you will lead Sister Circle’s Healing Conversations Programme contribution to the SafeRoots DASA Partnership. The role has three deliverables: Providing trauma counselling, peer support for pregnancy/baby loss and birth trauma and our Women’s Conversation Cafe sessions, as part of a wider support offer through our SafeRoots Partnership (funded by MOPAC/DASA).
We would love to hear from you if:
- you bring proven project management experience and a deep understanding of gender‑based violence and trauma recovery.
- can contribute confidently and compassionately to our trauma‑informed and survivor‑centred practice.
- you will ensure women experiencing domestic abuse and other forms of trauma, are met with dignity, understanding and culturally attuned care throughout their healing journey whilst living in safe accommodations.
Key Competencies

We launched the award-winning Spear Programme over 20 years ago, and there are now 18 Spear Centres across the country, equipping unemployed 16–24-year-olds facing barriers to employment with the skills and mindset they need to secure work and thrive in the workplace.

About the role
Spear is in an exciting time of growth, as we expand our work nationwide. You will play a pivotal role in equipping new and existing Church Partners to build sustainable, thriving Spear Centres that transform young people’s lives.
With an annual fundraising target of £125k, you will combine strategic insight, relationship-building and hands-on application writing, as well fundraising advice to help Church Partners grow diverse and resilient fundraising streams. Our Devon centre has a wonderful group of dedicated people with varying skills that meld into one team with one mission: to help as many pets as possible. We help pets through our two main services, Home Direct and our fostering network of over 80 volunteer foster carers.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring exceptional care for both pets and clients while making well-connected, efficient decisions that prioritise pet welfare. As the leader of our home-based pet operations, you’ll oversee the smooth running of daily activities, acting as the subject matter expert in practical animal handling and assessment. Your goal will be to prepare pets for adoption as quickly and effectively as possible. You’ll work closely with your team to ensure timely pet assessments, behaviour management, and training, while providing full support to foster carers.
You’ll also be responsible for achieving pet-related targets, ensuring your team of Pet Welfare Assistants and Foster Coordinator's maintains the highest standards of animal care and adheres to national processes in case management. Since we don’t have cattery or kennel facilities, innovation and teamwork are essential to address the most urgent cases effectively.
Motivating and managing your team is central to this role, enabling the centre to provide top-quality home-based pet care while helping your team develop professionally.
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week and you will be required to work 1 in 3 weekends.

About the role
We’re looking for a Workplace Manager for 12 months to oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of workplace and facilities operations across our London HQ and rented sites.
