In the Caseworker role you will, have responsibility for processing and assessing Accreditation applications. You will act as a first point of contact for members, providing excellent customer service and provide support with administrative tasks across Accreditations products and services.

Mind in Croydon is seeking a compassionate, proactive and community-focused Social Networking Caseworker to support adults experiencing severe and enduring mental health challenges to build confidence, strengthen social networks and engage in meaningful community activities.

This is a person-centred, recovery-focused role working with a caseload of up to 35 individuals. You will support people to identify their goals, access mainstream opportunities such as education, physical activity, cultural groups and volunteering, and gradually reduce reliance on statutory services where appropriate.

The role combines direct one-to-one support, partnership working with mental health professionals and community organisations, and the development of group activities at Fairfield House, Croydon. You will play a key role in enabling people to rebuild independence, confidence and community connections.

This post requires flexibility to meet the needs of the service, which may include occasional weekend work, as part of the rota. Time off in lieu (TOIL) will be provided where additional hours are worked, and there is no routine expectation of frequent out-of-hours working.

As a long-standing partner in the DFA programme, we have over a decade of experience delivering high-quality debt advice to local residents facing financial hardship. 

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate adviser with a proven track record of supporting clients with debt and financial difficulties. St Giles is expanding its delivery of hospital-based projects; this service is aimed at vulnerable 12 to 25-year-olds who attend the adult or paediatric emergency department or Urgent Care Centre at Northwick Park Hospital. We will work alongside hospital staff to proactively identify vulnerable young people and help them to access and engage the support they need to prevent any potential escalation of violence and reduce the risk of repeat victimisation or exploitation.

About this key role

You will be embedded in the hospital, providing support for those young people admitted to emergency departments right through to their discharge back into the community. You will have experience of working with ‘high risk,’ vulnerable young people, be part of a multidisciplinary team, and have a flexible, empathetic approach to your work.   This support extends post-discharge from the ED or Hospital with our Caseworkers working with the CYP and the professional networks to ensure the CYP voice is front and centre, this is to support the betterment of the CYP and their future, as well as reducing risks. This is done through providing 121 support in formulating the support plan with the CYP. This can also include supporting the family and advocating for them and CYP within the wider professional network.

The Children and Families team will support 45 young people and their families a year as part of our Greenwich Gangs team. Gang involvement increases the risk of violence and victimisation to the young person, their friends and their family, therefore, it is essential when supporting young people to exit gangs we adopt a ‘whole family’ approach.

About this key role

As a Children & Families Caseworker, you will be tasked with providing both face-to-face and virtual/remote 1:1 case work to children, young people and their Families who are at risk of; involved in or on the periphery of gangs and serious youth violence.

You will use your cultural competency and lived experience to engage young people involved in serious youth violence and exploitation. You will be one of 4 practitioners for this geographical area, providing a holistic approach to supporting young people and families in the community. Contributing towards the overarching aim of reducing harm, risk and exclusions (where relevant), you will work closely with social workers, youth offending agencies and schools/PRU’s, developing a relationship based on trust, which prioritises safeguarding.

You will play a central role in deterring young people from offending and safeguarding families who may be at risk. You will work with them for a set period, aiming to reduce key risk factors and behaviors. We will be relying on you to maintain the high standards of the service, ensuring the successful delivery of the outcomes, and compiling reports and recording data where necessary.

London Edge-of-Care (L-EDGE) is a 36-month project which aims to create positive outcomes for up 60 children and young people a year who are at risk and on the edge of being taken into local authority care. The project focuses on intervening before any formal care proceedings have taken place and provides a whole family approach.

About this key role

As a Children & Families Caseworker, you will deliver intensive, trauma-informed and whole-family support to children and young people at risk of entering care. This will involve carrying out comprehensive needs assessments, risk assessments and safety planning, and working alongside families to develop and review action plans that address practical, emotional and safeguarding needs.

This is a highly relational, outreach-based role, requiring regular travel across London Boroughs. You will work closely with Children’s Social Care and other statutory and voluntary sector services to deliver coordinated, effective support. You will also play a key role in identifying risk, including child criminal and sexual exploitation, and ensuring appropriate safeguarding responses are in place.

The service aims to improve outcomes across the following key areas of women’s lives: access to support and services, health and safety, economic wellbeing, opportunities to enjoy and achieve. 

About the Role

 The work is an assertive outreach caseworker role; an Advocate will be responsible for supporting 5 women in their assigned borough. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the intersection between severe and multiple disadvantage and VAWG and a strong understanding of how this can make it difficult for women to engage with support. You will have worked with people experiencing various aspects of severe and multiple disadvantage: homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, insecure immigration status, prostitution, offending history and children taken into care.

About You

You will have experience supporting women and children affected by violence against women and girls (VAWG), including undertaking risk assessment, safety planning and managing high‑risk cases. You will be confident working with people experiencing severe and multiple disadvantage and skilled in effective multi‑agency partnership working. You will bring a strong understanding of domestic abuse, including the practical, emotional and financial impacts, alongside knowledge of housing, welfare, safeguarding for adults and children, and relevant policy. You will be calm under pressure, with strong crisis management, problem‑solving and time‑management skills, and able to manage and monitor a small service user welfare budget responsibly.

About the Service

The WiSER Project (Women’s Safe Engagement and Recovery Project) began in April 2018 and works across 8 London Boroughs. The service provides an intensive outreach intervention and model of support for women experiencing VAWG and severe multiple disadvantage. The service aims to improve outcomes across the following key areas of women’s lives: access to support and services, health and safety, economic wellbeing, opportunities to enjoy and achieve.

About the Role

 The work is an assertive outreach caseworker role; an Advocate will be responsible for supporting 5 women in their assigned borough. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the intersection between severe and multiple disadvantage and VAWG and a strong understanding of how this can make it difficult for women to engage with support. You will have worked with people experiencing various aspects of severe and multiple disadvantage: homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, insecure immigration status, prostitution, offending history and children taken into care.

About You

· Demonstrable experience of working with people affected by VAWG

· Experience of risk assessment, risk management, and safety planning with victim/survivors including those at high risk

· Experience of working with people affected by severe and multiple disadvantage: homelessness, substance use, mental health issues, insecure immigration status, prostitution and offending behaviour

· Experience of multi-agency partnership working

· A sound working knowledge of the practical, emotional, social and economic issues facing women and children affected by domestic abuse

· Knowledge of housing, welfare and policy relating to domestic abuse

· Sound knowledge of safeguarding for adults and children

· Strong crisis management and problem-solving skills

· Ability to multi-task and display effective time management skills

· Ability to manage and monitor a small service user welfare budget

Our ESOL service was established in 2017 and now runs 5 days per week and offers English lessons for resettled refugees and an English Club with an emphasis on learning skills for integration into UK society. We are a growing team of ESOL tutors and creche teams providing training to help refugees and their families to resettle in Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire.

About the role

The Early Years Session Lead holds responsibility for leading sessions in our trauma-informed Early Years setting. They do not hold line management responsibility for other practitioners however supervise a small team of L2 practitioners during the sessions.

The Early Years Session Lead is part of the EY Leadership Team, which meet together online on a Weds 15:00-16:00.

In addition the EY Session Lead works in our EY setting in Bedford on a Friday alongside the EY Session Lead (Bedford) and the Senior Early Years Practitioner who holds line management responsibility for the EY team.

As a Generalist Adviser, you will work directly with individuals in recovery, helping them navigate some of the most challenging issues they face - including welfare benefits, debt, and housing.

Working across a mix of in-person, remote, and outreach settings, you will provide tailored, practical advice that helps people overcome immediate crises and build longer-term stability. You’ll take time to understand each client’s situation in depth, explore their options, and where needed, actively support them - whether that’s completing applications, negotiating with third parties, or advocating on their behalf.

This role is about more than advice - it’s about empowering people at a critical point in their lives. You’ll work closely with i-access staff to ensure a joined-up approach, while also being part of the wider Citizens Advice Woking team, connecting clients to additional support where needed.

We’re looking for someone who is confident managing a varied and sometimes demanding caseload, with strong listening skills, sound judgement, and the ability to turn complex information into clear, practical guidance. Experience in advice work is essential, and knowledge of welfare benefits, debt, or housing would be a strong advantage.
