Young People Support Worker
We are seeking a compassionate Young People Support Worker to help young people build the confidence and skills needed for independent living.
Salary: £11,734.40 per annum (FTE £29,336 per annum)
Location: Hanley Gardens, Islington
Hours: 15 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday

About the role
Join a close-knit and supportive team working tirelessly to ensure some of the borough’s most vulnerable young people receive the care and support they need.
As Young People Support Worker, you will support young people aged 18 to 25 living within a six-bed, low-support accommodation service. Working every Saturday and Sunday, you will help residents develop their confidence, resilience and independent living skills.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Managing a caseload and acting as the named key worker for individual residents
· Completing risk and needs assessments and developing SMART, outcome-focused support plans
· Delivering one-to-one and group support within the accommodation and local community
· Supporting residents to access education, training, employment and volunteering opportunities
· Helping residents maximise their benefit entitlement, including Housing Benefit and Universal Credit claims
· Working with statutory services and other agencies to provide joined-up support
· Welcoming new residents and helping them settle into the service
· Maintaining a safe environment through safeguarding, health and safety checks and appropriate reporting
· Encouraging residents to influence decisions about their support and participate in wider activities
The role involves two 7.5-hour shifts each weekend, with working hours arranged flexibly between 8am and 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
About you
You will have experience of supporting young people or another relevant client group and understand the challenges associated with homelessness, poor mental health and substance use.

Confirmation in role will be subject to satisfactory completion of the probationary period, which will include demonstrable progress towards achieving the full-year fundraising target for the role. The salary increases annually with the cost of living and will be subject to periodic review, benchmarked against equivalent roles in other Cambridge colleges.
The nature of the role requires the role-holder to be out of College, visiting prospective and current donors, at least 2–3 days per week. Attendance in College on these days is not required. Because Clare is a community, attendance in College at least one day a week will be essential. The usual hours of work are between 8.45am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (36.25 hours a week), but flexibility and some evening and weekend work are required. A willingness to travel abroad for donor and prospect meetings is highly desirable. TOIL may be given at the discretion of the line manager.

Interview details:
We have a hybrid approach to working and you will likely visit the Fund’s other offices on an ad hoc basis. Work pattern and location will be agreed with the successful candidate. The role can be based at any of our UK offices: Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester and Newcastle.

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead accounts payable operations and help ensure strong financial controls at Depaul UK.

About the role
Depaul UK is looking for a Senior Finance Officer - Payables to take the lead on the day-to-day delivery of an accurate, efficient and well-controlled accounts payable function.
You will oversee purchase ledger operations, weekly payment runs, supplier reconciliations and month-end processes, while supporting colleagues across the organisation and identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.
Key responsibilities include:
· Leading the day-to-day operation of the purchase ledger function
· Preparing and managing weekly payment runs
· Ensuring staff expenses and non-payroll costs are processed in line with internal controls
· Completing monthly purchase ledger reconciliations and reviewing aged creditors
· Managing banking and credit card administration
· Leading system administration and support for the Business Central finance system
· Preparing month-end prepayments, accruals, allocations and control account reconciliations
· Reviewing and approving month-end journals and reconciliations
· Supporting year-end audit preparation and responding to audit queries
· Line managing the Finance Assistant - Purchase Ledger
· Supporting continuous improvement and greater automation across finance processes
About you
You will be a part-qualified accountant or bring substantial practical experience gained across a range of finance roles.
You will have excellent knowledge of end-to-end purchase ledger processes and experience preparing accounts to trial balance stage. Strong IT skills are essential, alongside the confidence to identify opportunities to improve efficiency through systems and automation.
You will also need excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to prioritise effectively and experience of supporting or managing colleagues.
