The Hepatitis C Trust (HCT) is the UK patient-led charity for hepatitis C. The arrival of highly effective drugs allows us to cure almost everyone who has access to them. We now have an unprecedented opportunity to eliminate hepatitis C by 2030.
We are looking for a passionate and skilled manager who has excellent communication and organisational skills. Working under the guidance of the Southern Regional Manager, you will oversee a staff team and an expanding network of peer programs across Surrey.
Experience of working with disadvantaged groups and an understanding of providing services to vulnerable people is essential, alongside an understanding of how lived experience can support this work.
Your work will involve maintaining and monitoring our existing HCT peer projects across Surrey. This will involve providing support and supervision to existing staff, managing operational issues on a day-to-day basis and overseeing the management of local projects.
This post also involves regular liaison with external partners across the region, including key stakeholders and NHS colleagues at the Surrey Operational Delivery Network (ODN), alongside drug and alcohol services, hostels, outreach services etc.

This vital role within the Landmark Trust’s fundraising team focuses on delivering excellent supporter engagement across the Landmark Friends, Lundy Friends and Marisco Club supporter schemes. You will manage the day-to-day administration of these groups with the highest standards of supporter care and deliver a programme of small events and communications to engage and retain these supporters. Working closely with the Development Manager (Patrons) and other colleagues in Development, you will also support the delivery of events for the Landmark Patrons, and other supporters as needed.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporter engagement, stewardship and recruitment
- Deliver excellent supporter care, responding to enquiries, welcoming new Friends and Lundy supporters and building relationships to ensure that all supporters feel valued and appreciated, and to grow and retain the Landmark and Lundy supporter base.
- Support donor stewardship activities, including drafting timely thank-you communications, responding to email and telephone enquiries, assisting with the production of regular newsletters, and impact stories.
- Work alongside the Development Manager (Patrons) to promote all the Landmark Trust’s supporter schemes to existing Landmark contacts and new audiences.

Event coordination and delivery

The Trust’s Employability programmes support talented young people from lower income backgrounds to successfully access highly competitive universities, degree apprenticeships and professional careers. The successful candidate will lead on the development of a brand-new Tech and Digital Pathways to the Professions programme due to launch in Sep 2027 working with colleagues across the organisation. They will also manage and deliver, a range of other cohort-based employability programmes delivered both online and in-person. They will join a small and passionate team, led by the Head of Employability Programmes, and will play an important role in contributing to the on-going success of our programme work and industry engagement strategy.
Main duties
This role is responsible for leading on the design, planning and delivery of the new Tech and Digital programme (pre 18), alongside planning delivery for the existing employability programmes including our current Careers Plus (post-18) programmes in the tech & digital sector.

Our new Head of Education (HoE) will provide strategic direction to, and oversight for, all activities within our Education Department, including age 5 – 18 education and Higher Education. Working in partnership with senior staff, our Education Committee, and Trustees, you will advance the Society’s Education objectives in line with our Education Strategy, providing expertise and strategic direction to ensure the development of trusted Education initiatives for all ages.
You will be designing, planning, and delivering projects aimed at improving learning outcomes for young people, students, key stakeholders, and the wider geoscience community, as well as participating in government consultation and policy work where relevant. Our Higher Education (HE) Officer is responsible for our work with universities and other higher education providers, working in partnership with University Geoscience UK (UGUK) and other external bodies, in line with our Education Strategy. Working in partnership with senior staff, our Joint Higher Education Committee (JHEC), and Trustees, you will advance the Society’s aims and objectives with respect to higher education, providing expertise and knowledge to ensure the development of evidence-based programmes of work to support student enrolment and retention with the geosciences.

What you’ll be doing …
You will be designing, planning, and delivering projects aimed at improving outcomes for our student members, as well as other geoscience students globally, alongside other key stakeholders, and the wider geoscience community. You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on activities and progress alongside our JHEC, and contributing to our flagship initiative, ‘This is Geoscience’ focused on student enrolment and careers.
Beyond this, you should expect to be fostering relationships with key stakeholders and external partners to ensure that the Society continues to embed itself as an inclusive and equitable role model with respect to higher education, and leader throughout the wider geoscience community on a global scale.

Main responsibilities:
- Manage the implementation and promotion of HE related activities across the Society, aligned with our Education Strategy.
- Ensure that education and careers remain fully linked and part of the Society’s overall strategic vision.
- Work collaboratively with, and support, relevant stakeholders to deliver existing higher education and careers programs.
- To act as the custodian and liaison for Society HE matters, representing the Society externally where required.
- Manage relationships and foster engagement with external HE focused organisations, affiliations, networks, committees and groups.
- Working alongside the wider ‘This is Geoscience’ project team to update and develop resources relating to student recruitment and careers where appropriate, including the management of our relationships with HESA and UCAS for data when required.
Activities:
- Work alongside the Head of Education to develop interventions and outcomes for specific HE strategy objectives as ascribed.
- Review policies and procedures to enhance HE opportunities across the Society, ensuring all relevant guidance documents, policies, and processes are reflective of current legislation and supportive of a culture of inclusion.
- Working alongside the Society’s Accreditation Officer, monitor and report on HE recruitment and accreditation trends within the UK and internationally, reporting key information to relevant stakeholders and identifying opportunities for improvement.
