- You understand Ofsted Registered accommodation and can help colleagues turn safeguarding, trauma-informed practice and professional curiosity into meaningful everyday support.
- You are a calm, encouraging and hands-on leader who gives clear guidance, strengthens practice and helps colleagues grow without taking over.
- You bring resilience, fresh ideas and a genuine appetite to develop, using your creativity to open up opportunities for young people to build skills, independence and hope for the future.

We prevent homelessness, provide safe places to live and give people the opportunity to rebuild their lives and transform their futures. And we never give up.
We’re here for Londoners wherever they are on their journey. We start with trust, building relationships that help people feel safe, supported, and ready to move forward. Every day, we put people first in everything we do, challenging injustice and barriers that keep people from the safety, stability and opportunity they deserve. We stand alongside people as they rebuild and shape a future that feels their own.
Joining Single Homeless Project means joining a team that’s bold, compassionate and determined to do better for the people we support and for each other. You’ll work alongside colleagues with lived experience, in a space that’s trans-inclusive, disability-friendly, and actively striving to be anti-oppressive and equitable.

WHO WE ARE
We are Zarach, the children’s bed charity, and we’re on a mission to end child bed poverty, helping children get a good night's sleep, and the chance to thrive at school.
In our nearly eight years as a registered charity, we’ve captured the hearts and attention of many individuals, community groups, businesses and funders who want to support us on our mission. We’ve also been given an incredible media platform from which we have raised awareness of child bed poverty at local, regional and national levels. This support and awareness has seen us deliver over 17,000 bed bundles to children to date!!

One role focuses on maintaining and supporting our successful, established service in West Yorkshire.

As our ideal candidate you will be happy to travel in and around Yorkshire, and be able to travel regularly to meet with the team and to conduct home visits across the region. You will also need to be able to attend our Leeds Warehouse, or other areas when required.
You will be someone who has good experience of the broad range of day-to-day case management, working with external partners, volunteer support, and administrative activities that working in a dynamic charity brings, and someone who enjoys the busyness and variety of this.
Alongside your family support and engagement-related skills and experience, we’ll be looking to see that you have a genuine care for our mission and, as such, are self-motivated to do a great job and be a values-led member of our team.
Ideally, you’ll have experience of working with vulnerable families and managing volunteers in the charity sector, due to some of the specialties that come with this, such as safeguarding and partnership working. But charity experience is not essential if you can demonstrate an appetite and track record for continual learning and development across your working life to date.

The Inland Waterways Association (IWA) is the only independent, national charity supporting and regenerating Britain’s rivers and canals for leisure, living and business. We campaign both locally and nationally for the waterways; lobbying parliament, championing regeneration, promoting sustainability and the environment and raising waterways users concerns. We also love to roll up our sleeves and get involved with direct work on the waterways, both through local branch activities and through the hands-on activities of our Waterways Recovery Group.
At its heart IWA is a membership organisation, with around 8,000 individual members and over a hundred affiliated waterways organisations, groups and businesses. Having just celebrated the 80th anniversary of our founding in 1946, we continue to build on our legacy of campaigning, action and delivery for the future.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic manager to co-ordinate the day-to-day operation of the charity. Reporting to the chair of the Trustees and with a small team of permanent staff focused on three areas – Campaigning, Restoration and Support, your prime responsibility will be to ensure the smooth running of the charity.

We're at a pivotal moment. As we close out one organisational strategy and launch a bold new direction, we need someone to rethink our social channels from the ground up. With a combined following of 600k+ across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn, our youth mental health content sparks millions of engagements a year. This role is a rare chance to take a subject impacting 1 in 5 young people under 25 and turn it into content our audiences actively follow, engage with and feel part of. You'll have real strategic aptitude, a talented team of two ready to be led, and a mandate to be bold.
About this role
The Social Media Manager will own and evolve YoungMinds' social media strategy from the ground up, leading a small, passionate team to create standout, community-led content for a highly engaged audience of 600k+. Our channels are increasingly critical to reaching young people and the parents and adults in their lives - and this role sits right at the centre of mobilising them around our new organisational direction, using insight and creative instinct to reach the people who need us most.
You'll take an audience-first, insight-led approach - finding the right tone and format for every platform. Never clinical. Never performative. Always rooted in genuine community and support. You'll work in a true test-and-learn environment, free to experiment, take creative risks and push our social presence further than it's ever gone.
The role will involve:
- Embodying AJEDI values in content creation - prioritising the lived experience of minoritised young people, including Black, racially minoritised and LGBTQ+ young people
- Leading the development of a refreshed social media strategy across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and emerging platforms
- Turning a sensitive, high-stakes subject into content people actively choose to engage with
- Leading and mentoring a creative team (2 x Social Media Officers, one with a specific focus on video content)
- Championing and safeguarding brand, tone and messaging at every stage
- Collaborating with young people, partners and creators to co-produce authentic stories and campaign
- Overseeing proactive community management, including responding safely to disclosures and safeguarding concerns
- Empowering young people to share their stories safely and confidently
- Working across teams to deliver high-impact content for fundraising, services, marketing and awareness
- Capturing the impact of events and turning real-life stories into content that inspires action
- Leading projects with agencies and internal teams
- Tracking, evaluating and amplifying success through insight
- Overseeing day-to-day social media operations
- Innovating and experimenting to reach, support and inspire young people
Working environment
We are currently working with a hybrid working model, where there is the option of working from home combined with 4-12 days a month of working in the office.
About you
The post holder will have the following:
- Experience shaping and delivering a social media strategy with real strategic ownership
- Experience using excellent written and visual communication and storytelling skills to turn complex, sensitive or systemic issues into engaging content
- Experience managing social media channels on behalf of an organisation, with a following of 100k+
- Experience overseeing community management at scale via a community management platform (e.g. Sprout or equivalent)
- Experience leading and mentoring a team to execute high-quality content and manage competing deadlines
- Ability to deliver compelling, youth-focused content, led by trends and insight
- Ability to take a trauma-informed approach to communication and crisis response
- Candidates will also be assessed on a short written task focused on how they will embody YoungMinds' values around anti-racism, justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in their day-to-day role
We welcome applications from Black and Minoritised, LGBTQ+ groups and those with disabilities, as they are currently under-represented.
YoungMinds is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we therefore expect all staff and volunteers to do the same. We ask all staff to undertake safeguarding training when they join us.
