Key responsibility:
- This is a dynamic role at the intersection of grassroots partnerships, evidence-building and organisational learning. You will play a key part in deepening our work with rights-holder-led and women-led partners, while helping design and coordinate Population Matters’ global grassroots network of partners, ambassadors and collaborators.
- You will help build and nurture relationships across our key regions, supporting the development of a connected, values-driven grassroots network that strengthens shared learning, collective advocacy and systems change.
- Working closely with partners, you will strengthen Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) systems, ensuring projects are ethical, evidence-based and grounded in lived realities. From developing practical tools to leading the collection of case studies, your work will translate complex impact evidence into clear, persuasive and compelling narratives for funders, media and wider audiences. Exceptional written communication skills are essential for success in this role.
- You will collaborate closely with Fundraising and Advocacy & Influencing teams to develop an Impact Compendium and support appeals, while helping implement Population Matters’ organisational MEAL framework across all goals and programmes.

About you:
The Special Events Manager is an exciting role at MDUK, that will sit within the Fundraising team.
You'll develop and deliver Muscular Dystrophy UK’s exciting Special Events portfolio.
You'll be working closely with the Associate Director of High Value Engagement
You'll have direct line management of the Special Events Officers to achieve agreed objectives and fundraising targets.

Legacy Case Officer
Location: London
Hiring range: 33,000-39,000 GBP per year

The Legacy Case Officer is responsible for the professional administration of a substantial portfolio of UK estates in which the charity is a beneficiary. Managing approximately half of the charity’s active UK caseload, you will ensure gifts left in Wills are realised efficiently, compliantly and in line with the charity’s values. This role is central to safeguarding and maximising legacy income and you will exercise sound judgement, manage risk, and build relationships with executors and legal professionals to secure timely and accurate distributions.

Role and Responsibilities
Portfolio & Case Management
• Independently manage a diverse caseload including pecuniary, specific and residuary gifts from notification through to final distribution.
• Assess Wills, communications and estate accounts to confirm entitlement and identify risks.
• Proactively progress cases, minimising delays and protecting the charity’s interests.
• Maintain clear case files, identifying where further information is required.
• Escalate complex, high-value or contentious matters in line with internal processes.
Income & Financial Handling
• Contribute to reliable income forecasting through active case monitoring and accurate valuations.
• Support timely and appropriate accruals.
• Ensure estate accounts are reviewed, approved and distributions recorded in line with internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to maximise value where appropriate and proportionate.
Relationship Management
• Build and maintain professional relationships with solicitors, executors and co‑beneficiaries, communicating clearly, confidently and with empathy.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Essential Experience and Knowledge
• Experience in estate administration, probate casework or legacy management, with working knowledge of UK probate processes and estate documentation.
• Experience reviewing estate accounts and financial information.
Desirable
• Professional qualification or study toward CiCLA, LMAP, STEP, a law degree or equivalent.
• Experience managing residuary or contentious estates and understanding legacy income recognition in a charity context.

Job Profile
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead on the recruitment, retention, and value growth of Afghanaid’s supporter base by directing and implementing communications, fundraising and engagement strategies, aligned with broader organisation goals. Designing and managing a tight budget, you will direct the Communication and Giving unit to maximise their success.
You will provide strategic and supervisory oversight of fundraising income from individual giving, regular giving, major donors, trusts and foundations, corporates, community and student fundraising and events, managing annual fundraising appeals and driving organisational unrestricted income growth.
You will lead on communications for Afghanaid, overseeing print, digital, and paid marketing activities and the growth of communications channels. You will execute Afghanaid’s organisational brand strategy which ensures the integrity of the brand and maximises awareness. You will manage all public relations including crisis communications, as well as the growth of strategic media placements and high profile relationships. You will drive the success of organisational impact storytelling and communications for both internal and external stakeholders. As a member of the executive department, you will collaborate and synergise with other departments to promote organisational success.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
You will be an experienced and dynamic communicator with significant demonstrable experience in fundraising and/or communications at a senior level, coupled with an awareness and up to date knowledge and experience of the tools that would maximise the success of our communications and fundraising activities. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. Possessing strong management skills, you will have experience of managing small multi-disciplinary teams, providing direction and leadership to enable development and high performance, and the ability to role-model a culture of equality, diversity and inclusion.
Education/ Training
Master’s Degree in communications, marketing, public fundraising or another relevant field (or at least 5-years’ experience).
Work Experience

About the role:
This is a pilot project for Advance working with women with complex needs related to their involvement with the criminal justice system. As the Complex Needs & Outreach Worker you will provide intensive, trauma-informed support to women experiencing multiple and intersecting vulnerabilities, including homelessness, domestic and sexual violence, mental health challenges, substance misuse, and social exclusion. Working flexibly across outreach and community settings, you will focus on building trusting relationships with women who may be disengaged from or distrustful of services, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are addressed holistically.
You will be based primarily at Folkestone Probation Office, with up to two days per week spent providing outreach support in the community. This position involves close collaboration with the Folkestone Women's Pod to identify women who require intensive support.
A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential.

To be successful as the Complex Needs & Outreach Worker you will need the below experience and skills:
You will be highly empathetic, able to listen without judgement, and emotionally resilient when supporting women who have experienced significant trauma and adversity. The role requires tenacity and persistence, maintaining consistent engagement with clients who may have chaotic circumstances or face barriers to accessing support. You will advocate on behalf of clients, coordinate multi-agency responses, and support women to access safe accommodation, health services, safeguarding support, and pathways to recovery and independence.
This role demands a proactive, compassionate professional who can manage complex risk, work autonomously, and remain motivated and resilient while delivering person-centered, strengths-based support to some of the most vulnerable women in the community to enable them to lead safe and fulfilling lives.

The ECRN Regional Manager will work closely with the Head of ECRN to oversee the day-to-day operations and logistics of the Network. This includes line management of three Regional Coordinators, as well as supporting budget oversight and financial management across all regional activities.

- Sell-in stories, respond to media enquiries, and secure interviews.
- Deliver interview training for colleagues.
- Prepare messaging and briefings for spokespeople for interviews and events.
- Ensure plans are ready to roll-out when major disasters happen - including comms plans, media lists, trained spokespeople, quotes and other resources.
- Identify, develop and maintain great relationships with external stakeholders, including journalists, PR agencies, and freelancers.
Communications
- Produce high-quality written materials, including messaging, Q&As, and reports, ensuring consistency with brand and tone of voice.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across social media, website, celebrity, brand, content, and fundraising) to deliver integrated campaigns.
- Support reputation management, lead crisis communications activities, and play an active role in the Crisis Management Team.
- Offer creative ideas and planning for communications campaigns.
- Coordinate and, when required, manage external agencies and consultants.
- Evaluate PR and communications activity to measure success and improve future performance.
- Manage subscriptions and licences for communications tools, including media monitoring platforms, and liaise with procurement on tender processes when required.
Other Responsibilities
- Work as a member of our EDI team, ensuring EDI principles are included within our comms and media work.
- Undertake any other duties that are commensurate with the post.
- Carry out the duties of post in accordance with the ShelterBox's policies and procedures on Health and Safety and take responsibility for ensuring personal health and safety.
- Work flexibility, prioritise workload and work effectively as part of a team.

About the role
This is a senior leadership position within a collaborative charity structure. You will:
– Work closely with the Board of Trustees on strategy and governance
– Lead on finance, fundraising and organisational sustainability
– Support and develop staff and volunteers
– Represent the charity externally
– Work in close partnership with our longstanding Cemetery Park Manager
