Engagement Officer

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Engagement Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

Position: 000007 Engagement Officer

Location: Home-based South West, Hampshire and Isle of Wight. However, extensive travel will be required as part of this role across Hampshire, isle of Wight, BaNES, Swindon and Wiltshire and frequent travel across the wider South west locality (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week

Salary: Circa £17,800 per annum (FTE circa £29,813.07)

Contract: This is a fixed-term until 30 April 2027

The Role

Reporting to the Engagement Lead, the Engagement Officer helps strengthen local stroke communities by bringing people together, championing lived experience voices, and building warm, trusted relationships with volunteers, partners, and healthcare professionals. By supporting local groups, gathering insight, and sparking meaningful conversations, the role ensures stroke survivors and carers feel heard, connected, and supported to reduce the devastation of stroke.

Key responsibilities will include:

Job title: Black, African and Caribbean Psychotherapist

Purpose of the post

As part of the IRIE Mind team, the Psychotherapist will provide high-quality, culturally responsive and trauma-informed counselling/psychotherapy to clients.

Working within a BACP-accredited counselling service, the postholder will deliver structured therapeutic interventions of up to 12 sessions, supporting clients to achieve meaningful outcomes within a time-limited model.

The role requires a practitioner who can safely hold and work with complex trauma, including experiences linked to racism, systemic inequality, intergenerational trauma and identity. The postholder will apply culturally informed, integrative and evidence-based approaches to support client recovery and wellbeing.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the postholder will contribute to IRIE Mind’s holistic service offer, delivering culturally responsive and trauma-informed talking therapy alongside colleagues delivering psychosocial interventions, including groups, mental health coaching and advocacy, to improve access, engagement and outcomes.

The Role

As our Head of Fundraising & Business Development, you will lead efforts to secure and diversify funding, building a sustainable resource base to support our global mission.

Job Purpose:

Women in Prison’s Project Workers deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending. Monitoring and developing our Covid-19 Inquiry Recommendations Tracker, you will be an essential conduit for influencing policy and campaigns, part of a small but highly effective team. 

Job description

• Take overall responsibility for the Inquiry Recommendations Tracker, including its development, structure, accuracy and upkeep.
• Ensure the tracker is kept fully up to date, with progress on each recommendation accurately recorded and supported by relevant evidence.
• Monitor developments relating to Inquiry recommendations, including government responses, implementation activity and public statements, and provide colleagues with clear analysis to inform campaigning and parliamentary engagement.
• Gather and assess information from a range of sources to inform the tracker, including official publications, parliamentary material, stakeholder engagement and direct correspondence.
• Draft policy reports following module report publications, including analysis of recommendations and supplementary recommendations where appropriate, and provide briefing material to support campaign and parliamentary activity. 
• Engage with members to ensure their feedback and lived experience inform reports, supplementary recommendations and the Recommendations Tracker.
• Work with colleagues to ensure policy outputs support wider campaigning, parliamentary engagement and communications activity.
• Help identify gaps, weaknesses or areas of concern in implementation, and support the development of evidence-based proposals for further action.
• Maintain clear internal records and documentation relating to recommendations, progress updates and evidence gathered.
• Contribute to team meetings, planning discussions and wider organisational work as required.

About the role 

In this role, you’ll support and manage volunteers, working with colleagues across Parkinson’s UK to produce materials that enable groups and teams to implement Live Loud! sustainably in their areas. 

You’ll  develop and refine all project resources including a staff handbook, volunteer toolkit and training programme and support Parkinson’s UK teams to develop Live Loud! in their areas.

• Support existing Live Loud! projects to ensure they are embedded in their areas , both on-line and in-person models.

• Work collaboratively to implement an effective volunteer recruitment strategy for Live Loud!

• Develop and implement an effective  Live Loud! volunteer training programme

• Ensure Live Loud! is co-produced with volunteers and the sessions are volunteer- led, providing  volunteers the needed levels of support and recognition.

• Evaluate and modify, as appropriate, the model for Live Loud!, producing monitoring and evaluation reports as required

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced events professional to join the Living Wage Foundation team as an Events Manager. You will be responsible for developing, delivering, and supporting the team with innovative events to promote the Living Wage movement, support the existing employer network, increase public support for fair pay and encourage Living Wage accreditation.

You will be responsible for our annual Champion Awards ceremony and organising parliamentary events, roundtables and webinars for our network of employers and beyond, as well as providing strategic oversight of events at our annual Living Wage Week in November where we celebrate Living Wage Employers nationwide with multiple events.

About the role 

This role sits at the heart of UK Community Foundations’ ambition to build a strong, confident and connected community foundation field across the UK. You will help grow the field by supporting shared learning, strengthening our collective infrastructure and helping people connect with each other in meaningful ways. 

You will work across communities of practice, learning activity, digital spaces and shared resources. You will also curate the monthly newsletter and events bulletin, helping members stay connected to learning opportunities, insights and activity across the field. You will help gather insight, notice patterns and bring ideas together so that the community foundation movement can continue to learn, adapt and evolve. 

You will also play an important role in supporting a high quality member experience. This includes being a first point of contact for member enquiries, helping ensure members receive clear, timely and welcoming responses, and supporting continuous improvement of our membership offer. 

You do not need to have worked in community foundations before. We are interested in people who bring curiosity, transferable skills and a commitment to learning. 

The Field Building team leads work on leadership development, international learning, sector standards and shared knowledge. This role connects across all of that work and gives you a broad view of how the field operates and where it is heading.

Communities of practice

Member Hub 

You will manage and curate the Member Hub (our online learning and networking community) so that it becomes a trusted, accessible and lively space for the network. This includes sourcing and sharing useful content, keeping resources up to date, highlighting emerging practice and making sure the Hub is easy to navigate. 

You will be a first point of contact for member enquiries through the Hub, responding to questions, signposting support, and working with colleagues across UKCF to ensure members receive timely and helpful responses. 

You will work closely with colleagues to ensure content is timely, relevant and accessible to a wide range of users, and you will help track engagement so we can understand what members are using and where further support may be helpful. 

Resource Library 

You will take ownership of the resource library and keep it organised, dynamic and responsive to member needs. You will bring together tools and learning from across the sector, identify gaps and help ensure resources reflect emerging practice. 

You will curate and summarise content so it is easy for members to find and use, and you will support benchmarking surveys and ad hoc requests for network wide data where needed. 

Your wider responsibilities 

Learning and events 

You will support the delivery of learning days, webinars and the national conference. This includes planning, communication, logistics, content coordination and technical support to help events run smoothly and feel welcoming and accessible. 

You will provide administrative and logistical support for in person and online events, including managing bookings, liaising with venues and suppliers, coordinating travel and catering, preparing materials, and communicating clearly with participants. 

You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of UKCF’s biannual conference, leading on administrative and logistical coordination to ensure the event is well organised, well attended and delivered to a high standard. 

You will also curate the monthly newsletter and events bulletin, working with colleagues to gather content, highlight opportunities and share learning in a clear and engaging way. 

From time to time, you may support or contribute to training sessions for UKCF colleagues or network members. 

Insight and field development 

You will help gather intelligence about what is happening across the field. You will notice patterns, spot emerging needs and contribute ideas that support UKCF’s thought leadership. 

You will help surface examples of innovation and learning from across the network and share them through the Member Hub, newsletters and other channels. 

You will also support the team in gathering and responding to member feedback, helping to improve learning, resources and the overall member experience. 

Collaboration across UKCF 

You will work closely with colleagues across UK Community Foundations to ensure field building activity, learning and communications align with wider organisational priorities.

Role overview

Contract type: 3-Year Fixed-term 1 July 2026 until 30 June 2029

Hours: Full-time or part-time (35 hours per week Monday to Friday for full-time, minimum 28 hours for part-time). Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £27,011 FTE (pro rata), with potential step increases each year up to £30,400, plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we try to give a separate inflationary increase every April

Location: Rainbow Migration’s step-free offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. Annual leave: Initially 25 days per year. After two years of employment, this will increase by one day per year up to a maximum of 28 days (pro rata if working part-time).
