Good Law project’s (GLP) legal team has a busy workload advising GLP as a party, funder and campaigner in respect of the broad range of legal proceedings in which it is involved, as well as acting on the record in a subset of those proceedings. The current team includes four senior solicitors, two subject matter experts and a trainee. We are seeking to hire a solicitor to round out the team.

What we're looking for
Excellent technical lawyer, ideally with one to three years post qualification experience as a solicitor or barrister in England and Wales (legal experience prior to training and qualification, e.g. as a paralegal, may also be taken into account), with experience in the conduct and processes of civil litigation, ideally including public law matters
Interest in social change and how the law can be used to deliver it, willingness to facilitate campaigning on legal cases and embrace GLP as a campaigning organisation
Strong team player with the ability to use initiative and problem solve, both when assisting senior lawyers and when conducting own matters

Good Law Project is a not-for-profit campaign organisation which uses the law to hold power to account and fight for a fairer, greener future. We take on the cases and campaigns where we’ll have the biggest impact, even when the odds are stacked against us. We had a primary role in overturning the prorogation of Parliament in 2019. We successfully challenged the Government’s operation of a fast track ‘VIP lane’ for awarding lucrative PPE contracts to those with political connections and our campaigning played a key role in the Met Police opening an investigation into Boris Johnson over the Partygate scandal. In July 2023, we forced the Government to accept that its flagship Net Zero strategy is unlawful and to develop a better plan. The Living Wage Places scheme is pioneering a collaborative, place-based approach to tackling in-work poverty. Main Responsibilities
The Programme Manager for Living Wage Places plays a central role in delivering and growing a pioneering, place-based approach to tackling in-work poverty. Pay and Conditions of Service
This post is permanent and full-time.
The annual full-time salary for this role is between £47,911 and £53,890, inclusive of London Weighting.
There is a probationary period of six months for this post.
Full-time staff are entitled to 25 days holiday leave per annum with additional days for long service. The timing of holidays must fit in with the needs of the Foundation and must be agreed in advance. In addition to annual holidays there is paid time off for national holidays.
The post will be based in the London office at Unit 17 Deane House Studios, 27 Greenwood Place, London NW5 1LB. Staff currently work two to three days a week in the office.
The normal working week is 35 hours for full-time posts, seven hours per day, Monday to Friday. Standard office hours are 9.00 a.m.-5.00 p.m.

Through our Cancer Awareness Roadshows programme, we work in public facing communities across the UK to deliver cancer awareness where the need is greatest-helping people feel informed, empowered and able to make a difference.
What you'll be doing
Lead and manage Roadshow nurses across the North-West and London (including bank nurses), providing supervision and regular communication both remotely and in person.
Ensure quality delivery by equipping nurses with the skills, knowledge, and support needed to run effective cancer awareness activities.
Step in operationally when needed, covering Roadshow delivery and supporting the wider Health Community Engagement (HCE) team
Contribute to the development, strategy, and continuous improvement of the Roadshow programme.
Share insights, promote the programme externally, and support new content/product development.
Collaborate with the Senior Manager to ensure quality, compliance, and health & safety standards are met.
Provide leadership across the HCE nursing function, including training, recruitment, development, and maintaining professional (NMC) standards.

About the role
The Head of External Relations is a key senior leadership role at Rainforest Foundation UK (RFUK) responsible for overseeing effective fundraising and communications strategies to support the organisation's work protecting rainforests and the rights of Indigenous Peoples and local communities.

About the role
This is a rare opportunity to lead advocacy on two of the most important fronts in international development. You will co-lead the External Engagement and Influencing workstream of What Works to Prevent Violence – Impact at Scale (What Works II), a FCDO-funded programme working to prevent and eliminate violence against women and girls globally. Alongside this, you will drive CIUK's own influencing work on gender equality, shaping UK Government policy and building CIUK's reputation as a thought leader on gender justice.
You will co-manage a global team of six advocacy and communications professionals for What Works and represent CIUK at senior levels across FCDO and UK Parliament, with sector colleagues, global and domestic women’s rights organisations and influential thought leaders.
