You will be at the heart of our business, directly coordinating and delivering our service to guardians and to property owners. Supported by experienced managers and, making use of a field team and other operational support, you will deliver work across our diverse portfolio.

The fundamentals of this role

Manage guardians

• Ensure guardians meet our criteria and ready for life as a guardian.
• Manage the guardian sign-up and move-in process.
• Be the main point of contact for guardians.
• Liaise with guardians to resolve any issues or concerns, e.g. poor conduct, licence breaches or vulnerability concerns.
• Work closely with guardians when they need to move on from Dot Dot Dot properties.
• Draw on data to gain insight into guardians and to guide support or interventions as required.
• Coordinate or assist with events, partnerships and other activities to promote volunteering and/or community engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure repairs are properly reported and dealt with.
• Collaborate with colleagues to fill voids quickly with suitable guardians.

Manage properties

• Collaborate with colleagues ensure that properties are monitored, set up and managed in line with internal standards, client requirements and any relevant licensing or regulatory standards.
• Organise, monitor and manage the handback of properties to clients, ensuring guardian and client relationships are managed professionally and  effectively.
• Monitor budgets and spending on property issues, to make good choices about spending and to inform budget planning and risk management.
• Collaborate with clients on property repairs, major works or other issues.
• Provide clients with reports and information about their property as required.

Provide excellent client service

• Liaise closely with clients (building owners) to understand their needs and to keep them updated and informed about our work.
• Build strong day-to-day relationships with client contacts, working in a collaborative and service- focused way.

The London Survivors Collective is comprised of seven organisations (The four London Rape Crisis Centres, Galop, Survivors UK, and Respond) working together to provide comprehensive support to victim/survivors of sexual violence across London. Our alliance model enables us to draw on each member’s expertise and provide all victims/survivors with the specific care that is tailored to their needs.

Services are tailored for women, men, non-binary, LGBTQ+, disabled, neurodiverse victim/survivors addressing intersectional and unique needs. North London Rape Crisis at Solace supports women and girls, transwomen, and non-binary people aged 11+ who have experienced sexual violence at any point in their lives.

About the Role

This is an exciting time to join Solace Women's Aid and North London Rape Crisis (NLRC). The NLRC Counselling Service provides specialist trauma-informed counselling to survivors of sexual violence and abuse. The postholder will hold 1:1 counselling sessions with survivors aged 11+ who have experience any form of sexual violence or abuse at any point in their lives. The post holder will provide this service primarily in the evening hours, with a minimum of 1 evening a week in person at our Islington office.  

The postholder will be ensuring diversity and equity is at the centre of the service and service delivery, and that the service continues to be responsive to, and meet the needs of all survivors in a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive way.

About You

Successful applicants will have knowledge of sexual violence and its impact on victim/survivors. You will have strong time management and organisational skills, excellent collaborative working skills and knowledge the impacts of sexual violence on survivors. You will also be empathetic and work from a trauma-informed, person-centred framework. While experience of working with children 11+ is desirable, we welcome applicants who have experience of working with survivors aged 13+.

It is essential that you have experience of using Microsoft Office packages and the ability to use an online case management system. You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You will hold a Diploma-level qualification and have completed at least 250 hours of post-qualification one-to-one counselling experience. Successful applicants will be BACP accredited (or hold an equivalent qualification), or be actively working towards accreditation.

About the Role

The Street Engagement Team is an innovative service that works across the West End/Westminster. The team offers an outreach response to people experiencing homelessness and also leads on several other CSTM projects that cover accommodation and health inclusion service offers.

Role Purpose

The Education Trainer supports the Education Manager in the design and delivery of specialist, evidence-informed trainings programmes for education professionals equipping them to support bereaved children, young people, adults and communities.

Using trauma-informed, evidence-based content delivered through both digital platforms and in-person, the role ensures schools and educational staff have practical tools to identify, respond to, support and/or refer bereaved children, young people and adults.

We are recruiting for two Education Trainers, both to work full-time hours (35 per week). One term-time only and the other to work year-round.

Main Responsibilities

• Working collaboratively with the Education Team and the team’s administrator to co-ordinate training requests responses.
• Working with the Education Manager and colleagues, support the design of training programmes tailored to the needs of the training delegates.
• Deliver the organisation’s education training packages online and/or face-to-face as required.
• Work with the team to ensure efficient flow of processes and procedures.
• To research key areas in need of bereavement training packages.
• To be an ambassador for the ASK Me Training and Manifesto to early years, primary, secondary and higher education institutions and professionals.

This vital role is central to our work with people facing multiple and overlapping barriers to ending homelessness, particularly migrant and non‑UK national rough sleepers who need specialist advice and support, and gives the opportunity to provide strategic and operational leadership across a portfolio of specialist services, currently including MAPS, the Roma Rough Sleeping Team, London Navigators and StreetLink London.

• As Head of Specialist Rough Sleeping Services, you will set direction, drive quality and innovation, and ensure our services deliver meaningful recovery outcomes.
• You will offer inspiring matrix leadership across St Mungo’s, sharing expertise and strategic oversight to improve practice with some of the most marginalised people experiencing homelessness.
• You will act as a strong external facing advocate, building strong relationships with commissioners, funders and partners, and lead on business development, contract management and service growth to ensure our services remain high quality, sustainable and aligned with St Mungo’s mission.

You will be an experienced leader with a track record of managing services for people experiencing homelessness, migrants or other vulnerable groups, and of guiding teams through change in complex environments.

You can demonstrate a strong knowledge of the policy and practice landscape affecting migrant and advice services, alongside health and social care, hostels, supported housing, and statutory and voluntary sector provision.

You will show clear understanding of the needs of St Mungo’s client groups, including non‑UK nationals, people with substance use and mental health needs, young people, and people with experience of the criminal justice system.

Crucially, you will lead with integrity and compassion, championing client involvement, embedding equality, diversity and inclusion into all aspects of service delivery, and supporting managers and teams to perform at their best.

Where you’ll be working

In this role you will work flexibly for at least 2 days per week onsite from our Central Office in London or other various services. About the Service
Solace is embarking on a new five-year fundraising strategy, with ambitious plans to double fundraised income to £3m by 2031. Fundraising at Solace works closely with colleagues responsible for winning and managing statutory funding contracts, and is situated within the Business Development Directorate, alongside our award-winning Communications, Partnerships & Public Affairs teams.
