About the role:

As a Floating Support Worker, you’ll support people living across Westminster to sustain their tenancies, navigate challenges and build the confidence and skills needed to live independently. You’ll work alongside people facing homelessness, isolation, poor mental or physical health, domestic abuse, substance use and other forms of multiple disadvantage, providing practical and emotionally intelligent support that meets people where they are.
This is a role built on relationships. You’ll work closely with clients in their homes and communities, creating support plans that feel realistic, empowering and genuinely person-centred. Whether you’re helping someone manage rent arrears, reconnect with services, settle into a new home or take steps towards work, training or improved wellbeing, your support will help people move forward in meaningful and lasting ways.
You’ll be part of Westminster Floating Support, a fast-paced and supportive service funded by Westminster City Council, delivering housing-related support to people in all types of accommodation across the borough. Working as part of a collaborative and psychologically informed team, you’ll build strong partnerships with local services and agencies to make sure clients receive joined-up, holistic support.

About you:
- You bring experience supporting people facing multiple disadvantage, including homelessness, mental ill health, substance use, domestic abuse or social isolation, and know how to build trusting relationships that help people feel heard, respected and supported

The ideal candidate
To be considered for this role you should meet the following criteria:
- Deliver support to people experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping in the borough of Tower Hamlets.
- Agree support plans with service users to move into accommodation and access specialist services that address the underlying causes of their homelessness.
- Make referrals into Tower Hamlets and Pan-London local authority housing options services, in line with the Homelessness Reduction Act.
- Work with partner agencies to provide joint support to service users where appropriate.
- Build relationships with housing providers and the private rented sector to expand the portfolio of affordable referral routes into accommodation.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to create positive working relationships with a wide range of people, including external services.
- Contribute to the development of the service, ensuring a solution-focused and strengths-based approach in all areas of work.

Job Title: Night Engagement Worker
Location: This role is based in Redbridge. The service is a short walk from Gants Hill Underground Station. The area is also served by multiple bus routes, including 114, 121, 128, 150, and 272, offering direct local and regional connections for staff commuting to the service. About the Role
We’re looking for a Night Engagement Worker to join the team in Redbridge. You will support within the Offender Personality Disorder Housing Accommodation to support in successfully rehabilitating and reintegrating our residents and participants back into the community. The service delivers support for people in the criminal justice system who are deemed high risk, and likely to meet criteria for personality disorder. Penrose OPD HASS service offers specialist accommodation to people with high risk/high needs and require intensive support to overcome barriers to resettlement and progress towards independent living in the community.
You will assist with those who have recently been released from prison, secure health settings, or are transitioning from Approved Premises. Your role will involve supporting all aspects of key engagement activities, aiding their rehabilitation, reablement, and reintegration into society by providing pathways, support, and appropriate interventions, that will enable successful resettlements and work with internal and external partners and agencies to achieve desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Support residents who may be facing challenges with substance misuse, helping them take positive steps forward.
- Creating one to one person centred support plans to support residents in achieving their goals.
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents at all times during the shift, including regular check ins and carrying our protocols.
- Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities during the evening which may include movie nights and games nights.
- Lone working is part of the role, but you’ll always have a supportive team around.
- Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service.
About You
We're looking for someone who shares our passion for supporting people who may be deemed as having a personality disorder and have been referred to us by the criminal justice service. Our residents are at the forefront of our service delivery, so building trusting and professional relationships is key. You’ll be adaptable, proactive, and confident using your initiative to resolve challenges, and keep the night service running smoothly. Teamwork is essential and having previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, so you'll help deliver care that truly meets their needs.
- Understanding of Personality Disorder and the Criminal Justice System
- Experience in working with people of different backgrounds which may be complex.
- Ability to engage with people from different backgrounds, build rapport, and empower them to achieve their personal goals
- Comfortable working with people who have different types of histories of behaviours which have led to in-prison sentencing.
- Awareness of external opportunities which are available such as with education, employment and benefits
- Organised and proactive in managing tasks like welfare checks, safeguarding, and accurate record keeping
- Confidence in identifying when someone may be struggling with their mental or physical health, substance use, or other challenges, and knowing how to respond
- IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience

In this role, you will support residents who have a history of forensic mental health issues with co morbidity, often alongside co-occurring substance misuse disorders. - Support residents to build skills and confidence and signpost residents to external organisations and services that can aid their recovery, such as drug rehabilitation programs, psychological therapy and social services.

About You
We're looking for a genuine passion for supporting people who may have complex needs which includes forensic mental health. You will be a self motivated individual who is able to be proactive in managing your own time during busy or quiet periods to ensure productivity. Experience in mental health or support work is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values. You will be keen to support our residents to achieve their individual goals and support them to be the best versions of themselves.

We're hiring a Housing Support Worker to join our floating support service which is based in Brent. The service supports adults who have been or are at risk of homelessness, have experienced social exclusion, have previous criminal convictions, suffer with their mental health, have substance misuse, and/or could have a learning disability. You will support participants on their journey towards recovery, reablement, and independence, all within a compassionate, trauma informed environment.
In this role, you'll be at the heart of delivering high quality, person centered support through tailored support plans which provide practical interventions, to empower our participants to overcome personal challenges, develop life skills, and achieve their personal goals. You will also work closely in partnership with various organisations to support the different needs of our participants, which may include signposting. - Support participants will all aspects of their housing needs to support them ensure sustainable housing.
- Co-create tailored support plans which are centered towards the participants needs.
- Signpost participants with local providers to support with their independence such as with Job Centres, employment support hubs, community support centres, mental health trusts and other as relevant.
- Recognise support needs in an individual and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent further deterioration.
- Complete safeguarding and other referrals where required.

£17,676 per year for 22.5 hours per week
£29,460 full-time equivalent (37.5 hours per week)

The role: Family Support Worker (Bereavement)
As a Family Support Worker at Addiction Family Support, you will be responsible for delivering a range of services to provide crucial emotional and practical assistance to individuals bereaved (and affected) by the loss of a loved one due to addiction. Responsibilities:
- Offer empathetic and non-judgmental structured emotional and practical support to those affected by the bereavement of a loved one due to addiction (via a Helpline and 5-Step Method informed one to one and group support).
- Provide or signpost information, literature, and resources to help individuals and groups manage grief and cope with their situations.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate bereavement support group meetings, creating a safe space for participants to share their experiences and provide mutual support.
- Follow guidelines and safeguarding practices - ensuring safeguarding concerns are addressed promptly and signpost individuals to additional services where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR and the charity’s policies.

Spires was established as a response to homelessness in the late 1980s. Spires has developed into an organization that provides a range of services, including day centre style drop-ins for homeless people, a Women’s drop in, a Refugee drop in and outreach targeted at supporting Women who are sex working. Our core mission is to support homeless people into housing and to assist those who have been homeless in maintaining their accommodation.
Part 1: The Role
The Women’s Service Coordinator will manage Spires’ Women’s service offer. The Women’s Service offer comprises of:
- Spires-Street Link, which is a dedicated nighttime outreach service to support women who are involved in street-based sex working. This includes follow up work, casework, and multi-agency working.
- Centre based support for women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. This also includes casework and supporting Spires’ Housing and Homelessness team.
Part 2: Key duties and responsibilities
- Manage a small team of support workers and a team of dedicated volunteers.
- Oversee the delivery of effective assessment and allocation for clients.
- Oversee the effectiveness of casework across the Women’s Service.
- Directly support a small caseload of clients.
- Manage the team’s rota to ensure sufficient coverage across activities.
- Represent Spires to external organisations, developing and maintaining good working relationships with other professionals, community organisations, and statutory agencies.
- Manage the teams’ outcomes and data to produce reports for funders and stakeholders.
- Support Spires’ fundraising manager in making applications where required.
Part 3: Person specification
Essential experience:
- Experience of working with women with complex support needs (including substance addiction, mental health needs, domestic violence, no recourse to public funds and sex working) .
- Experience of managing people within a relevant sector.
- Experience of challenging appropriately and maintaining clear and appropriate boundaries
- Networking and effectively liaising with specialist service providers or agencies in order to establish and/or improve access to services for clients.

- Sound understanding of the issues faced by women and other individuals involved in sex work.

Part 4: Summary of terms and conditions of service
Probation: This post is subject to a 6-month probationary period.
Notice: This post is subject to one week’s notice during the probationary period and a six-week notice period thereafter.
Annual leave: The annual leave entitlement is 35 days per year pro rata, made up of eight bank and public holidays and 27 days annual leave. The 27 days annual leave is normally split between 24 ‘bookable’ days and three closure days that fall between Christmas and the New Year.
Pension: The Spires Centre operates an Opt-out group pension arrangement and currently contributes 5% of annual salary for those who qualify. Personal contributions are currently 3%.
Other benefits: The Spires Centre will provide life and income protection insurance for those who qualify for our group plans.

Do you have experience in leading operations and developing a quality service?
We are looking for a Service Manager to join our team team in Ealing. This is a well-resourced and dynamic service in which you will lead a team of 2 Coordinators and 9 Outreach & Resettlement workers.
In this role you will focus on combining outreach with clients on the streets and supporting them through placements in temporary accommodation until a suitable home is found. Several additional services are also embedded within the team including Street Legal, an Employment Specialist, and a Homeless Health Nurse – and the team has lots of well-established connections with specialist providers and community organisations locally, as well as having strong relationships with commissioners and local authority partners.
Based in Ealing, West London; the office has roadside parking available & is also well connected on the Piccadilly, Elizabeth and Central line at Boston Manor, Ealing Broadway & Hanwell station.

To thrive in this role you will have a experience or a good working understanding of providing to support to junior managers.
In this role you will be providing management direction and leadership, some team guidance around professional conduct, and a clear drive around getting the basics right and implementing our new outreach model.
