Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and alongside the Strategic Partnerships and Trusts teams, you will be responsible for setting clear plans, developing effective fundraising approaches, and ensuring strong systems, processes and supporter experiences are in place to drive sustainable income growth.
You will lead the delivery and development of community fundraising, challenge events, individual giving through community activity, and in-memory fundraising. A key part of the role will be developing a clear and engaging events and fundraising volunteer offer, including an effective induction process that enables volunteers to fundraise confidently on behalf of Bipolar UK.
This role requires a thoughtful, organised and people-centred manager who understands how to balance ambition with compassion in a mental health charity context.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic leadership and planning
- Develop and deliver a clear community and events fundraising strategy aligned with Bipolar UK’s wider fundraising and organisational goals.
- Translate strategy into achievable annual plans, income targets and team objectives.
- Use insight, data and evaluation to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Work with the Director of Fundraising to forecast income, manage risk and maximise return on investment.
2. Community and events fundraising delivery
- Lead the planning, delivery and growth of a portfolio of community fundraising initiatives and challenge events, both in person and online.
- Ensure a consistently high-quality supporter experience across all community and events activity.
- Oversee web content and digital resources to support community and event fundraising
- Identify and develop new fundraising opportunities that align with Bipolar UK’s mission, values and supporter base.
- Act as an ambassador for Bipolar UK at key events when required.
3. Volunteer fundraising offer
- Develop a clear, accessible and motivating events and community fundraising volunteer offer.
- Design and implement an effective volunteer induction process, ensuring fundraisers feel confident, supported and well-equipped.
- Work with colleagues to ensure volunteer fundraising activity is aligned with safeguarding, wellbeing and organisational policies.
4. Digital campaigns and income growth
- Lead on the planning and delivery of digital-led community and events fundraising campaigns.
- Work collaboratively with Marketing and Communications colleagues to develop supporter journeys, content and communications that drive engagement and income.
- Develop approaches to grow connected income streams, including regular giving and in-memory giving, through community and digital activity.
- Monitor performance, assess impact and report clearly on outcomes and learning.
5. Supporter experience and stewardship
- Ensure supporters are stewarded with care, empathy and professionalism, recognising the personal connection many have to bipolar.
- Oversee thanking, updating and re-engagement activity to build long-term supporter relationships.
- Ensure accurate and compliant use of the CRM and fundraising data.
6. Team leadership and organisational contribution
- Line-manage and support the Fundraising Officer and Supporter Engagement Assistant, providing clear direction, coaching and development.
- Create a positive, supportive and high-performing team culture focused on impact and learning.
- Oversee income and expenditure for the community and events portfolio, monitoring budgets and performance against targets.
- Contribute to organisational planning, cross-team working and the development of efficient systems and processes.
- Evaluate performance and produce insight-led reports to support decision-making and improvement.
- Uphold Bipolar UK’s values at all times.
Essential Criteria
- Significant experience managing community and/or events fundraising, with a track record of achieving income and engagement targets.
- Experience of line-managing staff and leading a small team to deliver effectively.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with experience translating strategy into delivery plans.
- Experience of managing budgets and reporting on performance and impact.
- Demonstrable experience of digital fundraising and use of online fundraising platforms.
- Experience working with volunteers or community fundraisers.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Confidence using CRM systems and fundraising data.
- Knowledge of the UK charity sector, GDPR and fundraising best practice.
- A compassionate, values-led approach and confidence working in a mental health context.
Desirable Criteria
- Fundraising qualification or Chartered Institute of Fundraising membership.
- Lived experience of bipolar, or a close personal connection to someone affected by the condition.

Your role
As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for:

About the Campaigns and Public Affairs Manager role
In this varied and exciting position, you will manage high profile WI campaigns and play a key role in achieving change on key issues affecting women and their community.
The Campaigns and Public Affairs Manager provides essential management of the Public Affairs team and its activities- including campaigning, lobbying, research and policy work- whilst working closely with the Director of Campaigns and Membership to maintain a strategic overview of the department’s work.

Are you an experienced and knowledgeable programme manager with a passion for supporting charities and under-represented communities to advocate for change?
Media Trust is looking for an experienced programme manager to lead on the delivery of two new communications capacity-building programmes - one focusing on charities tackling health inequalities and another focusing on people affected by the No Recourse to Public Fund (NRPF) immigration rule. Both programmes are aimed at enabling participants to safely and effectively engage with the media and advocate for change. You will be working directly with charities, communities and individual participants on both these programmes. You will also work with external trainers and media industry volunteers to deliver the training and related support.
Each programme will involve recruiting a cohort of storytellers, working with a series of external trainers to deliver workshops around understanding and engaging with the media and facilitating peer support workshops. You may also be required to lead small roundtables or convene meetings with sector partners as required.
Media Trust will be partnering with charities working on health inequalities and supporting migrants to deliver this work, including recruiting storytellers from across our networks and partner organisations as programme participants.
You will be responsible for designing and agreeing the delivery calendar with our funders and other key partners.You will also manage the recruitment for, and delivery of, these programmes. The outline training content has already been agreed - this role will involve working with trainers to ensure content is relevant to the needs of the cohorts and the objectives of each programme. You will also design and facilitate a series of monthly peer support sessions to support participants’ learning on the programmes. You will also manage impact evaluation for the programmes including designing and collecting responses to pre- and post-programme surveys from participants and sharing insights and learning from the programmes to help Media Trust design new work in these areas.

The South East Gambling Harms Partnership is a consortium of regional Citizens Advice offices that include: Wokingham, Reading, West Berkshire and East Berkshire offices in Berkshire and Hart, Rushmore, Basingstoke and Tadley in North Hampshire. The Role
We are looking for a strategically-minded Regional Service Manager to lead the South East Gambling Harms Partnership. You will be the architect of our strategic engagement, building trusted partnerships with NHS commissioners and local authorities to ensure gambling harms are a priority in local health responses. You will lead a dedicated team of Training Leads and Prevention Workers, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation, building strong links with VCSE partners and the wider community.

The Engagement Manager leads the relational and safeguarding delivery of Lighthouse, ensuring the programme is experienced as a place of dignity, trust, and consistency for every participant. This role sits at the centre of the work - shaping how Lighthouse feels, how people are received, and how support is experienced in practice.
Lighthouse operates in a dynamic environment where participant needs, operational demands, and volunteer teams intersect daily. You will bring presence, judgement, and emotional intelligence to that space, maintaining strong relational consistency while responding thoughtfully and appropriately to what emerges in real time.
You will take ownership of participant engagement across the programme. This includes building trusted relationships, maintaining strong safeguarding practice, and supporting volunteers to engage in ways that are respectful, boundaried, and trauma-informed. Your role is to ensure Lighthouse is not only well run, but deeply human - a place where people feel seen, respected, and supported.
You will also play a central role in shaping how Lighthouse supports people beyond immediate engagement. Working pattern
Lighthouse operates primarily between 8:00am and 8:00pm, with occasional evening events. Programme delivery is supported by a team of volunteers.
The two Managers coordinate their working schedules to ensure presence during key delivery periods across the programme week.
Working patterns are flexible and planned collaboratively to support delivery while maintaining sustainable workloads.
Lighthouse Management Structure
Lighthouse is delivered through a shared model, with two Managers working together to ensure the programme remains a safe, consistent, and dignified space for people experiencing homelessness.
Delivering this well requires both strong programme organisation and careful, trauma-informed engagement with participants.
The two Managers hold complementary responsibilities that ensure Lighthouse is both well-run and deeply responsive to the people it serves. While each role leads on specific areas of the programme, they work closely together to maintain consistent standards, clear communication, and a reliable experience for participants.

About Rockinghorse Children’s Charity
Rockinghorse Children’s Charity supports sick and disabled children across Sussex. We support babies, children and young people, along with their families, at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and all of the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex.
We deliver and fund projects that enable doctors and nurses to do more. All of projects are led by the needs of children and young people and their families – the lifesaving medical equipment, the support for parents and families, the toys for children spending time in hospitals across Sussex, the environments and spaces that help children feel more at home when they are in hospital and additional staff to make sure children get the best possible care when they are unwell.
Originally set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann, we have been supporting children for more than 55 years, and in that time, we have supported nearly a million children and their families. As the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, including the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, we work with the NHS, charity partners and the Sussex community to ensure children can be children no matter now sick they are.
We do not receive any government, statutory or local authority funding and so we rely on the generous support of individuals, community groups, companies and trusts: people like you, who care about children and want Sussex to be a safe place for children to grow up.
About the Role
In 2025 we launched our five-year strategic plan, which prioritised our activities to enable us to support more babies, children and teenagers. As we enter the final year of this strategy the charity continues to expand and develop its projects and services children all over Sussex.
This role will support the Head of Finance & Operations and be responsible for organising and managing the charity’s volunteers and the volunteer programme, working across the charity to ensure we have the right individuals to support our work. You will be responsible for the management, recruitment, onboarding and retention of all short and long-term volunteers, to ensure we can continue to deliver life-saving projects for children and young people across Sussex.

Duties of the Role
Support the charity to deliver brilliant projects and services that support children and their families:
· Work collaboratively across the charity team to recruit volunteers with the necessary skills, experience and commitment to support our project delivery, fundraising activities, events schedule and office work.
· Communicate regularly with our volunteer community, to highlight upcoming fundraising and challenge events and ensure there is sufficient and appropriate representation in place per event.
· Ensure that the charity has the right policies and procedures in place for the recruitment, onboarding, retention and management of volunteers.

- Client Services Team - the initial access points for up to 80% of clients accessing our services. From client facing work at our local town centre premises through to processing our online referral forms, this team is integral to ensuring that clients can access our services.
- Volunteer Team – led by 2 part-time volunteer supervisors, our team of 30 volunteers deliver advice to clients over the phone and face to face. Delivering over 6000 hours of volunteering per year, this team has increased by 50% in the past 12 months and is continuing to grow across the organisation.
- Community Outreach Team – responsible for delivering community outreach advice sessions across Bury and Bolton, as well as representing CABB in local/ neighbourhood meetings and building relationships with key community stakeholders. This team attended over 700 sessions in 2025, and with increased resources we now envisage this to continue increasing, ensuring we are delivering advice to our clients in the spaces and places they feel comfortable in, removing barriers to advice.
These teams collectively make up our client access points, in 2025-2026 supporting over 16,000 clients to access our services and receive information, guidance and advice.

Supporter care & fundraising operations
- Deliver excellent supporter care across all fundraising activity

You’ll bring:
- Experience in fundraising (events, community, corporate or similar)

Job Purpose: Lead delivery of a national climate action programme (BELIEVE in Climate Action), managing cross-sector partnerships, stakeholder engagement and programme operations. Oversee youth-led initiatives and knowledge exchange, while also supporting university teams to deliver the ParliaMentors programme and strengthen student leadership and civic engagement.
- Salary: £40,204 (Band D, Point 3, including London weighting) / £36,501 (Band D, Point 3, elsewhere in the UK)
- Contract: 4.2 years (this is a fixed term contract, linked to the BELIEVE project, ending in September 2030)
- Location: primarily hybrid/remote, open to candidates anywhere in the UK. The project is based in England, so the role will involve regular travel to locations across England, including London.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Programme Manager to lead delivery of Believe in Climate Action (BELIEVE), an ambitious national initiative at the intersection of climate action, youth leadership and community engagement (3 days per week). This role will also support the delivery of the UN Award winning ParliaMentors project, providing mentoring, training and leadership development opportunities to students across the country, and maintaining strong relationships with University partners (2 days per week).
This is a unique opportunity to lead a complex, high-impact programme that connects schools, communities, young people, researchers and policymakers, shaping a more inclusive and effective model of climate action across England. You would be joining a team that has been running impactful projects for 19 years, which centres the voices, needs and potential of young people to bring about change.
The BELIEVE project
BELIEVE in Climate Action (BELIEVE) is an ambitious and innovative national programme led by the Faith & Belief Forum in partnership with the Cambridge Interfaith Programme. Together, we are building a bold new model for climate action, one that connects grassroots communities, young leaders, researchers and policymakers through collaboration, co-learning and shared purpose.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead a pioneering, cross-sector initiative that is reshaping how climate action happens in England. BELIEVE operates at the intersection of community engagement, youth leadership and policy influence, requiring strategic oversight, strong partnership management and the ability to navigate complexity across local, regional and national contexts.
BELIEVE is also a platform for sector leadership. It offers the opportunity to influence how climate engagement is understood and delivered, particularly by centring voices often excluded from mainstream climate discourse, including young people and those from diverse faith and belief backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
Programme leadership & delivery
· Lead the strategic and operational delivery of BELIEVE across its three interlinked workstreams
· Ensure effective planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a multi-year national programme
· Manage programme timelines, budgets, reporting and risk
Stakeholder engagement & partnerships
· Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-sector stakeholders, including schools, community organisations, funders, academic partners and policymakers
· Act as a senior point of contact for programme partners, ensuring alignment, accountability and collaboration
· Convene and facilitate high-level stakeholder spaces, including national workshops and knowledge-exchange forums
Team & youth leadership oversight
· Line manage the BELIEVE project Coordinator, ensuring timely and high quality delivery of workplans, supporting their development and training, managing any performance issues, and helping them to grow and thrive.
· Oversee delivery of the youth leadership strand, including internship programmes and youth-led climate action projects
Strategy, learning & influence
· Design internal evaluation frameworks and processes, in collaboration with University of Cambridge academics
· Translate research, learning and evaluation into programme development, communications and external influence
· Contribute to shaping national conversations on inclusive climate action
· Responsible for delivery, and ensuring programme outputs (reports, toolkits, events, digital platforms) are high-quality and impactful
Manage 2 teams of ParliaMentors students
· Support with delivery of the ParliaMentors programme, including facilitating workshops, having meetings with students, organising the logistics for various events throughout the year
· Mentor and support two teams of students at two universities as they work together to deliver a social action project
· Contributing to communications for the programme on social media, LinkedIn, and newsletters
· Support with delivering trainings for university staff
Person Specification
Essential Experience
· Significant experience managing complex, multi-partner programmes (ideally national or multi-regional)
· Demonstrable expertise in stakeholder engagement at a senior level, including building and maintaining strong partnerships across sectors
· Strong track record of delivering complex programmes on time and within budget
· Confidence and proven experience in line management (this role will line manage 1 Project Coordinator, and oversee an internship programme of up to 8 paid interns per year)
· Strong financial management skills, and experience managing large budgets (this role will be responsible for financial management of the BELIEVE project, and reporting to funders)
· Strong experience and understanding of Safeguarding, in charities and/ or school settings
Skills & Competencies

· Excellent relationship management and influencing skills
· Strategic thinking combined with strong operational delivery
· Ability to navigate complexity and work across different sectors and perspectives
