About the role
As an Events Fundraiser you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of third-party challenge events, delivering marketing plans to boost participation and creating first-class stewardship journeys. You’ll be data driven, using insights and sector trends to inform improvements and highlight opportunities to grow our challenge events portfolio.
You will attend key events as required to support with on-the-day logistics and volunteer management. Please note, due to the nature of our work you will be required to attend some events and meetings which can be during weekends, early mornings or evenings.
Please note - this is a hybrid role involving 3 days in Shooting Star House and 2 days working from home.

With fundraising and events experience, you will be a motivated and organised individual who communicates confidently across a range of channels both internally and with external stakeholders.

About the role
The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting the effective delivery of services, projects, events and member communications across the organisation. In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.
The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by funding great initiatives, finding what works and working for change - scaling and spreading the practices that make a difference.
One of the most important things we do is turn evidence into action through our change programmes, working directly with schools, local leaders and services to change practice and prevent violence. To deliver these programmes well, we need clear plans, smooth commissioning and procurement processes, accurate data and strong coordination across teams and partners.
The Programme Delivery Manager role is critical to making that happen, and it has two distinct elements:
Programme management for two Change programmes: You’ll be the hands-on programme lead for two of our main change programmes. You’ll work closely with the Change delivery team to put clear, aligned plans in place and then brilliantly manage those plans day to day, making sure everyone knows what’s expected of them and by when.
Commissioning and procurement support for the whole Change team: You’ll also be the go-to source of guidance and advice for Change colleagues who are procuring or commissioning other activity. You’ll help the team navigate processes correctly, ensuring commissioning is captured and maintained accurately in Salesforce and keep our ways of working consistent across the team. By keeping us organised and on track, you’ll help us maximise the impact of every pound we invest.

Job Description
- Alongside our other Community Fundraiser, the post holder will be the first point of contact for the Fundraising team. The broad responsibilities will be:
- Building and maintaining strong fundraising relationships
- Provide 1 to 1 support with our fundraisers and help them maximise the activities and continue that support throughout their stewardship so we retain their support.
- Help with the delivery and development of an exciting and busy events programme.

Behind the scenes
- Working with our Fundraising Administrator help collating and sending fundraising packs, auction items and event materials.

- Maintaining confidentiality of information, observing data protection laws, and adhering to fundraising code of practice at all times.

About the role
The key purpose of the Coordinator role is to support the Senior Engagement Manager to deliver regional Sight Loss Councils across Yorkshire and Humberside and to engage with blind and partially sighted people across the region. We currently have three Sight Loss Councils (SLCs) in this region, so the postholder will be expected to work alongside the Senior Engagement Manager and coordinate the SLCs’ activity, focusing on the retention of the volunteers engaged and ensuring the projects and work they are involved in continue to be successful.
