Charles Harper House is a supported housing service for people with learning disabilities and sensory impairments, such as visual or hearing loss. The scheme consists of eight self-contained flats, two on-site offices, a communal area, and a large garden. Staff in the service are trained in British Sign Language (BSL), so a willingness to gain this qualification is essential.

Sport is our hook to engage young people and one of the vehicles through which we support youth development. But our purpose is not to create elite athletes or address physical inactivity. The Opportunity ​

​Building on an incredibly successful match-giving campaign last November, we are looking to grow our fundraising programme, and are searching for a passionate and relationship‑driven Supporter Engagement and Events Officer to help us deepen supporter connections and deliver exceptional experiences. ​

​​This is a fantastic role for someone who loves building relationships, delivering high‑quality events, and inspiring people to fundraise or donate to a mission that changes young people’s lives.

The Role​

You will play a key part in engaging our community of supporters, from marathon runners to monthly donors to guests at our bespoke events. You’ll lead on mass‑participation challenge events, support the development of our membership/regular giving programme, and help plan and deliver creative, impactful experiences that bring supporters closer to our mission. Working across the fundraising team, you'll help ensure every supporter feels valued, inspired, and connected to the young people we serve.

We are seeking an experienced, relational, and highly organised leader with a strong passion for the issues of mental health, poverty, and social justice that underpin Make Lunch. Working alongside other Church Relationship Leads, this role will train, support, and develop church-based volunteer Make Lunch teams, ensuring they provide effective support and meaningful connection to children, young people, and families in their communities.

The post holder will be responsible for managing their own clinical caseload. This role involves the assessment and delivery of appropriate high-intensity psychological interventions to individuals presenting with common mental health difficulties within an NHS Talking Therapies service.

Applicants must have completed and achieved their professional qualification independently and not via a Talking Therapies funded training route.

The post holder will be expected to attend regular clinical supervision and may take on additional responsibilities to support ongoing service development as required.

The role involves working with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and age groups, using interpreters where appropriate. Delivery will take place across community settings (including GP surgeries), psychological treatment centres, and remotely. The post holder will be required to work from the Bexleyheath office for up to three days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical

1. Accept referrals in line with agreed service protocols.

2. Conduct assessments and deliver therapy via telephone, video consultation and face-to-face appointments.

3. Deliver High Intensity CBT treatment in both individual and group formats (as agreed).

4. Assess suitability of referrals in accordance with departmental protocols and refer clients to alternative services where appropriate.

5. Formulate, implement and evaluate evidence-based treatment plans.

6. Involve family members and carers in treatment where appropriate, communicating formulations sensitively and in accessible language.

7. Promote access to psychological therapies within peripheral settings. For example, therapists working in GP surgeries will attend practice meetings, build effective working relationships with primary care teams, and ensure promotional materials are readily available for both professionals and members of the public.

8. Liaise with other psychological therapy services to enhance collaborative working and improve service provision for local residents.

9. Plan and coordinate appropriate packages of care, communicating effectively with internal and external professionals to support continuity and transfer of care where required.

10. Undertake risk assessments, develop risk management plans, and initiate appropriate action when indicated, including referrals to secondary care and safeguarding services.

11. Collect and record outcome data using the TALKING THERAPIES IAPTUS system, ensuring accurate documentation of clinical contacts, records, and care pathway progression.

12. Ensure care is delivered within the stepped care framework in use within the service.

13. Adhere to the service operations manual and relevant policies and procedures.

14. Take proactive responsibility for meeting agreed clinical activity targets, including therapy contact hours.

15. Contribute to clinical governance processes within your area of practice under the supervision of a Senior Therapist.

16. Develop a specialist clinical interest area (e.g. PTSD, OCD, Long-Term Health Conditions, Perinatal Mental Health, Eating Disorders, Social Anxiety). Specialist focus may evolve in line with service needs and continuing professional development.

17. Participate in clinical audit activities, including analysing service user feedback and presenting findings verbally and in writing.

Training and Supervision

1. Attend regular clinical supervision (individual and/or group) within the service.

2. Participate in peer supervision.

3. Actively engage in continuing professional development (CPD), including effective use of supervision.

4. Attend and complete all required Talking Therapies-approved workshops and training relevant to professional objectives.

5. Contribute to peer learning through journal clubs and in-house CPD events.

6. Provide supervision to other staff where appropriate, following completion of relevant training and experience.

Professional

1. Maintain client confidentiality at all times.

2. Liaise effectively with colleagues across Mind in Bexley and other relevant teams.

3. Contribute to public and professional education programmes under the supervision of senior clinicians.

4. Deliver psychoeducational sessions within a CBT framework to groups of service users under supervision.

5. Take responsibility for the clinical governance of your own professional practice.

6. Attend supervision, case management, and line management meetings regularly, actively participating in objective setting and performance reviews.

The Influencing Project Manager will work as part of a flexible team to develop, lead and manage the stakeholder engagement, influencing and communications elements of the Volunteering for Health programme.
 
Volunteering for Health is a £10million learning programme focused on testing, building and growing healthcare volunteering infrastructure. The programme has invested in fifteen systems across England who are navigating complex health systems to ensure that volunteering is embedded as a system wide NHS asset.
 
The team is responsible for developing and delivering the ‘learning and support’ and the ‘influencing and communications’ elements of the national programme, in partnership with NHS England and CW .
 
We have reached an exciting stage where we can turn our local learning into national change. By using the inspiring stories and impact from our programme, we want to show healthcare leaders what is possible. We are positioning our learnings to prove that volunteering infrastructure is a vital solution for a modern and sustainable health service aligned to the NHS 10-year Health Plan.
 
Overall Objectives

Learning and Evaluation

• Work in a way to embed learning and insight capture into business as usual.
• Commission and manage external consultants where appropriate, ensuring quality and alignment with project aims.
• Lead learning events, and convene stakeholders to support the capture of insight.
• Support in the development of insight and related policy positions in relation to initiatives being managed, working closely with policy colleagues to identify system gaps and potential solutions.
• Ensure projects contribute to learning, including supporting the dissemination of what works and how to scale successful approaches.

Providence Row has supported people facing homelessness in East London since 1860. Our Day Centre is often the first place people come when they need help. It is a space where people can eat, shower, speak to staff, and be welcomed with dignity.

As a Day Centre Assessment & Reconnection Worker, you will play a key role at that first point of contact. You will ensure people are welcomed calmly, understood quickly, and supported to access the right pathway. This is a role focused on assessment, decision-making, and connection rather than ongoing casework.

You will also support geographical reconnection where appropriate, including accompanying clients to local authorities across London, ensuring plans are realistic, safe, and grounded in dignity.

The ideal candidate

• Experience working with people affected by homelessness or multiple disadvantage.
• Confidence carrying out trauma-informed assessments and making clear, proportionate decisions.
•  Understanding of housing pathways, rough sleeping processes, and local connection rules.
• Ability to remain calm and boundaried in challenging or fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly.
• Good organisational skills and confidence using IT systems and databases.

Desirable

• Experience in a day centre, drop-in, or similar frontline setting.
• Knowledge of local authority homelessness duties and processes.
• Experience supporting reconnection or working across borough boundaries.
• Lived experience of homelessness or working alongside peer-led approaches.

About the Job 

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will support the charity fundraising Team by generating appointments for the Fundraising Manager (Care Providers) and the Head of Fundraising (Corporate Organisations). 

This will involve researching, approaching, and engaging with prospective clients through various channels, such as cold calling, email campaigns and social media, to establish interest, build relationships and secure initial meetings: 

• Identify and qualify potential leads through strategic outreach methods. 
• Conduct research to understand client needs and tailor your communication accordingly. 
• Use social media channels to boost your profile and that of the charities (in line with charity priority strategies) 
• Utilise CRM tools to manage and track lead progress. 
• Work with the fundraising team to ensure a smooth lead handover.

Finance and Reporting 

• Familiarity with using CRM to record client engagement and opportunities 
• Prepare Sales Updates weekly to the Head of Fundraising and monthly trustee reports 

Other Activities 

• Work with the Marketing and Events department and wider team to signpost prospects to Events and other Charity Engagement initiatives 
• Attend conferences, networking and trade events in person to further relationships and secure contacts / meetings 
• Keep up to date with internal and external developments in Social Care 
• Participate in strategies to develop the charity and potential for new opportunities
