About the role:

We are looking for an experienced individual to join our small, friendly and dedicated team to lead ILPA’s content and communications work. The successful candidate will be working collaboratively across the organisation to deliver a high-quality service to our passionate and committed members, and producing and disseminating ILPA’s internal and external communications through all available channels. This position would suit a self-motivated individual who is committed to our charitable objectives, and wants to help further them by: developing and executing our content and communications strategy; managing and improving our website; editing our weekly update to members; maintaining our crucial online archive of updates, documents, and data; and developing and executing our media strategy.

Content

• Manage co-ordination and production of weekly ILPA Members’ update email
• Liaise with the Editorial Advisory Board and legal policy team to commission blogs and content
• Edit material in line with guidelines, arranging for peer reviews where necessary, ensuring that all material is accurate, appropriate, brand consistent and suitable for publication; uploading content to the ILPA website through the CMS
• Manage production of the Annual Report
• Liaise with Bloomsbury, ILPA’s publisher, to ensure that the ILPA journal content is disseminated as widely as possible
• Track impact and success of content through relevant analytics to inform content strategy
• Track and monitor publications aimed at immigration practitioners to inform content strategy
• Work with colleagues and members to develop a content strategy that best supports members’ information needs

Communications

• Manage the ILPA website (including the members-only area), editing and uploading new information and resources, and maintaining the online archive
• Liaise with ILPA’s external website support team to ensure developments are undertaken efficiently 
• Manage ILPA’s social media channels (currently LinkedIn and BlueSky) 
• Respond to journalists’ enquiries, including arranging for media quotes and interviews, in collaboration with the Chief Executive and the Director of Policy and Advocacy
• Together with the Chief Executive and the Director of Policy and Advocacy, develop and implement ILPA’s external communications strategy
• Work with the Chief Executive to upgrade the ILPA website to improve user experience

• Experience of content commissioning and editorial management
• Experience of developing content strategies, including producing content with a user-centric focus (i.e. experience producing user data, conducting user research and translating it into useful content)

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organised, agile and structured Senior Programmes Manager to lead the operational planning, project management and execution of our flagship educational programmes. In this role, you will be the operational engine behind multiple cross-departmental projects, with a focus on meeting the needs of our global teachers and students, as well as funders.

In this fixed-term role you will work closely with our educational content leads, designers and external stakeholders to ensure our high-impact classroom resources and live events are delivered seamlessly, on time and to the highest standard. Rather than drafting the pedagogy yourself, you will manage the project lifecycles, coordinate workflow across internal and external teams and optimise the systems that allow our world-class educational programmes to reach over 1 million young people globally.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project and operational management

• Manage the Topical Talk Leadership for Change Prize, Live Lessons, curriculum modules and student workshops end-to-end: from roadmaps and capacity mapping through to impact and evaluation
• Project manage the filming required for our content delivery, including the booking and management of experts, production teams and Economist colleagues
• Track and coordinate progress across content creators, graphic designers, proofreaders and editors to ensure all deliverables meet tight production deadlines
• Balance team workloads across concurrent educational projects and plan capacity for incoming projects
• Continuously refine workflow processes to streamline resource creation and evaluation

Programme governance and evaluation

• Partner with the Director of Programmes to track key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate audience reach and maintain rigorous data collection for monitoring and evaluating our programmes
• Proactively identify bottlenecks, content risks or scheduling delays, implementing swift mitigation strategies to keep delivery on track

Live Lesson and workshop operations

• Manage the end-to-end operational execution of student workshops and our Live Lessons – handling scheduling, platform setups and logistics
• Coordinate school visits for content testing and observation, ensuring all safeguarding and operational requirements are fully met

Stakeholder and relationship coordination

• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for external topic experts, guest contributors, and editorial contributors from The Economist Group
• Maintain clear lines of communication between the programmes team, marketing, operations and external partners to ensure projects are aligned with strategic aims
• Manage external freelance contractors and vendors, with support from the administrative officer

About the team

The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 15 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£11 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by two Directors of Philanthropy and Partnerships. 

The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also deliver a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono for Impetus’s corporate supporters.   

Impetus is driven by a shared belief in tackling the barriers that hold back young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in education and employment. Alongside investing extensive financial and non-financial support in our charity partners through our Investment Team we also seek to influence decision makers to design and implement evidence led policy and direct new resources to get young people the support they need through our Public Affairs team. About this role

The Engagement Manager is an experienced professional who plays a key role in supporting donor engagement across all Impetus donors, enabling the team to provide best practice and high-quality donor stewardship and a platform for the renewal of key philanthropic gifts.

The Engagement function is responsible for pro bono and volunteering. Reporting to the Head of Engagement, the Engagement Manager is responsible for supporting the successful delivery and continuous improvement of the volunteering programme, ensuring it delivers high-quality opportunities, contributes to agreed KPIs and evolves in line with the needs of funders and the organisation. 

The postholder will account manage key relationships with mid-level supporters and internal stakeholders, working across teams to deliver meaningful and well-coordinated engagement opportunities. They will contribute to identifying and developing new opportunities for the volunteering and pro bono programmes that respond to funder interests and portfolio needs. 

In addition, they will manage relationships with mid-level pro bono supporters, taking them through the full pro bono journey from project matching and onboarding through to stewardship and ongoing support.

This is a cross-functional role that collaborates closely with the Investment team, wider Philanthropy team, Public Affairs team and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent and excellent donor experience.

Key responsibilities

Volunteering programme  

• Account manage relationships linked to volunteering across corporates, individuals and grant-making trusts, ensuring engagement is maintained and escalating strategic issues or risks where appropriate.
• Support or lead meetings, alongside fundraising account managers where appropriate, with funders to understand their volunteering interests and contribute to the development of suitable engagement opportunities.
• Support account managers in ensuring consistent donor engagement throughout annual giving cycles, including tracking, reporting, and communications.
• Contribute to the development of the volunteering function to ensure the programme offers a range of high-quality opportunities suitable for different funder types and aligned to organisational priorities.
• Identify and suggest new volunteering opportunities based on charity needs and funder interests, working with the Head of Engagement to ensure strategic alignment across the programme.
• Lead delivery of the mentoring programme within agreed plans and frameworks.

• Support the identification, prospecting and conversion of new pro bono supporters, aligned with the needs of portfolio charities and Impetus, including attending meetings with prospective supporters.
• Manage relationships with mid-level pro bono funders, supporting delivery across the full engagement process from identifying suitable projects and matching opportunities through to onboarding, delivery and stewardship.
• Work with the Head of Engagement, internal teams and charity partners to scope projects and support matching pro bono funders to suitable opportunities.
• Support the onboarding and ongoing management of pro bono partners, ensuring clear communication and a high-quality supporter experience.
• Monitor the progress and quality of pro bono projects, gather feedback and identify improvements to strengthen delivery and impact.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research and Production Officer to join our team based in Central London. After several years of research and development, we launched Testimony 360 in June 2024, a digital programme for UK secondary schools that uses interactive survivor testimony and virtual reality to innovatively teach about the Holocaust. Through the programme, students can interact with a recorded testimony of a Holocaust survivor, before seeing some of the sites they experienced using virtual reality headsets, all without leaving their classroom.

The successful candidate will serve as a member of the Trust’s Programmes Team, responsible for the research, post-production, testing and maintenance of interactive recorded testimony to ensure fluency and usability in the classroom. They will also be responsible for the ethical representation and engagement with the testimonies. We are looking for an individual with experience in research, with an understanding of the sensitive use of testimony, as well as experience of data management systems and platforms used for interactive testimony. They will have the ability to quickly learn how to use new technologies and programmes. As an expert in Holocaust education, you will also contribute to the successful delivery of our Testimony 360 programme through research and development of new content or digital resources. 

Key Responsibilities

Interactive survivor testimony

• Work on the development of interactive testimony, including any future capture, clipping, annotation, data / metadata input, and Alpha/Beta testing. Throughout testing, lead the AI training process ensuring the system’s accuracy and ensuring the respectful and ethical representation of survivors’ life-stories.
• Maintain regular contact with our partner organisation, the USC Shoah Foundation, including progress updates, shared learning, and required training.
• Support colleagues undertaking training and/or working on supportive post-production.
• Log activity and decisions regarding the post-production editing process, as discussed with members of the Testimony 360 team and/or USC Shoah Foundation.

Delivery

Coram Family Lives is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and compassionate Family Support Coordinator to deliver vital support to RAF families with children aged 0–7 years at RAF High Wycombe

In this rewarding role, you will work directly with families, providing practical and emotional support, helping parents navigate the unique challenges of military life, and delivering engaging workshops and community-based activities. From supporting families through deployment and reunification to helping parents access SEND and early years services, you will play a key role in improving outcomes for children and strengthening family wellbeing.

You'll also collaborate with RAF welfare teams, schools, health professionals and community partners, while developing a network of volunteers who help create a supportive and connected military community.

About The Role
Every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia. Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family and a story that deserves to be heard.
Could you use the power of media to help those stories reach more people?
As our Regional Media Officer, you'll help bring these stories to life. You'll create media coverage that raises awareness, influences change and inspires people to support Alzheimer's Society.
Reporting to the Regional Media Manager, you'll work across the region. You'll deliver media activity that supports our campaigns, fundraising, services, research and local influencing priorities.
You'll help strengthen our reputation as a trusted voice on dementia.
No two days will be the same. You might be finding a powerful story one day, responding to breaking news the next, or supporting a spokesperson before an interview. You'll help create campaigns that reach and engage people.

Contract:This is a permanent, part-time role working Monday to Wednesday.
Location: You'll be home based, with occasional travel across Northern Ireland, North East England and North West England to build relationships, support media activity and connect with local communities. As this is a regional role, you'll need to live in one of the following areas:

- Northern Ireland
- North East England – including Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland, Durham, Northumberland, Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Gateshead and Hartlepool.
- North West England – including Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cheshire and Cumbria.

What you'll do
How do you turn a story into something that makes people stop, listen and take action?
By building genuine relationships, spotting opportunities and making sure the voices of people affected by dementia are at the heart of what we do.
You'll:

- Develop and deliver regional media plans that support our influencing, fundraising, services, and research.
- Build strong relationships with journalists, colleagues and communities across the region, identifying media opportunities supporting local influencing priorities, promoting Alzheimer’s Society services. Work with people affected by dementia to tell their stories in a way that feels right for them, with care, respect and compassion.
- Create clear, engaging and accessible content, including press releases, statements, briefings, and articles.
- Respond to media enquiries, manage sensitive issues and help protect the reputation of Alzheimer's Society. Support and prepare spokespeople, helping them feel confident when sharing their knowledge and experiences with the media.
- Create engaging content, including photography, video and other digital materials, to bring our campaigns and stories to life.
- Work closely with teams across Alzheimer's Society and with external partners to create greater understanding and support for people affected by dementia.

About you
Are you someone who sees the person behind the story?
You'll have experience in communications, media or PR and enjoy using storytelling to make a difference. You'll combine strong media judgement with empathy, curiosity and a desire to understand what matters to people.

- Experience of working in media or PR, with an understanding of what makes a story matter and how to connect with regional and local audiences.

- The ability to stay calm under pressure, manage competing priorities and deliver high quality work when deadlines are tight.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging content for different audiences.
- A collaborative approach, good organisation skills and a commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.
