A major change project has taken place at Cranstoun over the last few years to transform our IT systems and support. We have successfully moved to a cloud solution based on Microsoft 365.   

We are now looking to recruit an experienced and knowledgeable Head of IT to lead Cranstoun’s IT services. You will be motivated to make a difference and build on the successful work that has already been achieved. 

The Head of IT will demonstrate visible leadership and provide expert advice to continue the development of IT provision, knowledge and digital capabilities across the organisation. The post holder will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders to maintain our IT systems and support, including all aspects of IT and cyber security. Cranstoun currently holds ISO 27001 (Information Security Management System), Cyber Essentials and completes the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit. You will support our two internal IT roles and effectively manage our managed service provider who are providing ongoing day-to-day support for all our IT users.The role incorporates wider responsibilities that include supplier management and purchasing in relation to IT.

We are working with an established arts and education charity to recruit a new Head of Finance and Operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, ambitious organisation delivering a range of artistic, educational and community programmes. The charity receives income from a diverse mix of public funding, trusts and foundations, individual giving, sponsorship and commercial activity.

Sitting within the Leadership Team and working closely with the Director, this is a genuinely broad role encompassing finance, operations, governance, HR and organisational management.

A key part of the role will be leading the charity’s financial management and planning. You’ll manage the annual budget, produce quarterly management accounts and cash-flow forecasts, oversee VAT returns and work closely with external accountants and auditors on the year-end accounts and audit. You’ll also work with budget holders, senior colleagues, trustees and the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee to ensure strong financial management across the organisation.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have previous experience working within a small charity or similarly sized not-for-profit organisation. This isn’t a role where finance sits in isolation – you’ll need to be comfortable getting into the detail, working across different areas of the organisation and balancing strategic responsibilities with the practical realities of working in a smaller charity.

Strong charity finance experience will therefore be important. You’ll need to understand the complexities of restricted and unrestricted funding, be confident managing and reporting against different funding streams and have a good working knowledge of Charity SORP.

Experience of dealing with funders and their different reporting and monitoring requirements will also be particularly useful.

Alongside finance, you’ll oversee a varied operational remit including building and office management, HR processes, organisational policies and governance. You’ll also support the Board and committees, take responsibility for company secretarial duties and maintain relationships with key funders and stakeholders.

This role would suit someone who enjoys the variety that comes with working in a small charity – practical, organised and collaborative, with the confidence to operate at leadership and trustee level while still being happy to roll their sleeves up when required.

• Knowledge of the gambling harms, addiction, health or social welfare sectors would be advantageous, as would experience working in a small or growing charity, familiarity with CRM and fundraising databases, and experience contributing to a wider income-generation strategy.

We’re looking for a Targeted Interventions Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in delivering early intervention and prevention support around drugs & alcohol to young people and make a real difference in their lives!

About the role

This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity where you will take the lead in coordinating targeted interventions across our Buckinghamshire service. You’ll work directly with young people, partners, and professionals to identify needs early and provide the right support at the right time.

From delivering engaging targeted group sessions to shaping local pathways and building strong partnerships, you’ll be at the heart of making sure young people receive timely, effective support around substance misuse and risk-taking behaviours.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours. 

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing

• Coordinating and developing targeted interventions, including group work, outreach, and brief interventions
• Delivering engaging group programmes for young people at risk
• Increasing visibility and accessibility of the service amongst children, young people, families, and partners with the aim of increasing referrals into service for specialist support.
• Building strong relationships with schools, professionals, and partner agencies
• Providing training and support to professionals to help identify and respond to young people’s needs
• Using data and insight to shape and improve services
• Supporting volunteers and Youth Ambassadors to deliver impactful work
• Support the development of projects that increase visibility, create awareness, and improvement engagement including development of educational programmes, informative resources, and prevention pathways
• Ensure effective and consistent young people involvement through our Youth Ambassador Programme including coproduction.
• Support the coordination and development of the service’s social media activity.

About you: 

• Experience of working with young people and knowledge of the issues they face 
• Knowledge of safeguarding concerns in relation to children and young people and the Fraser Competence framework 
• Have an excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field 
• Knowledge of working with evidence-based practice around young people’s substance misuse treatment services and methods, including relevant best practice guidance 
• An accomplished communicator, both verbal and written with a high degree of personal IT competency 
• Be able to accurately update and maintain records and to work to deadlines for the submission of information. 
• Have excellent team working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a highly cooperative approach to supporting colleagues in delivering service objectives 
• Full UK driving license and access to a car.
