The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) is seeking an experienced Senior Policy Manager (Workforce) to lead on the development and management of influencing and advocacy in national policy, legislation, funding and health and education decisions related to workforce across government sectors, providing strategic oversight and expert guidance.

The RCSLT is the professional body for speech and language therapists across the UK. The RCSLT has over 24,000 members and employs around 70 staff predominately based in a London office. The RCSLT also has offices in Belfast, Edinburgh and Cardiff.

Our mission is to improve the lives of people with communication and swallowing needs by facilitating and promoting research, producing guidance, holding events, and influencing government. We aim to promote better education and training for speech and language therapists and provide information to our members and the public about speech and language therapy.

The role

We are seeking a dynamic advocate to advance and promote the speech and language therapy profession by shaping and implementing policy, monitoring national developments and responding to changes in the external environment. You will lead RCSLT’s policy agenda on workforce matters, providing strategic advice on risks and opportunities to the CEO, Executive Team, Board, Committees and senior stakeholders.

As the policy lead on workforce-related initiatives, you will influence legislation, national funding and guidance across health, social care, education, and justice sectors. You will represent RCSLT at ministerial, government, parliamentary and external stakeholder meetings, as well as on national working groups and advisory boards, ensuring the profession’s voice is prominent in policy and decision-making.

You will build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing leadership to drive policy initiatives that promote the profession, influence government decisions, and enhance RCSLT’s national reputation. You will also develop strategic external partnerships to support RCSLT’s influencing priorities and serve as a resource for our members. Working collaboratively within the wider team, you will help increase RCSLT’s impact across all relevant sectors.

You’ll bring experience of influencing health, education or social care at a national level and carry experience of policy research, consultation, development and analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience of building external professional networks as well as be able to effectively campaign and influence. The successful candidate will be able to research, analyse, interpret and present complex and detailed information for a variety of audiences with strong written and oral communication skills.

A new role, the Finance Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the charity's day-to-day finances, contracts and risk management. As a member of the senior leadership team, they will support the CEO with strategic planning. A key part of the role will include financial planning and administrative support for the charity’s fundraising efforts as part of a £6.5m conservation and renovation programme. They will lead the preparation for, and presentations at the charity’s Board and related finance committees.

The postholder will ensure that the charity’s budget and out turn are closely monitored and that established financial controls, spanning the procurement to payments cycle, are firmly adhered to. They will lead budget setting, forecasting, and financial reporting (including management of the external audit and production of the annual report and accounts) and will support wider work programme-planning for the charity, setting the foundations for financial success and sustainability. In addition, the postholder will act as the central finance liaison with the Inns of Court of Inner and Middle Temple – TCT’s principal funders – as well as with other stakeholders, donors and cross-departmentally.

Candidates should meet the following essential criteria:

CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified accountant

Experience in a senior/ management financial position in a charity/ not for profit

Experience of managing cash and investments.

Effective communications skills both written and oral

Excellent IT skills including MS Office and Finance Systems

The Operations Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant delivery of the College’s operational services, including estates and facilities, transport, health and safety, sustainability and contracted services. 

Role Responsibilities: 

Estates and Facilities management  

• Manage and monitor contracts for building and grounds maintenance, cleaning, hygiene, waste management and energy supply, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and agreed service levels. 

• Lead procurement processes for operational contracts, including tendering, evaluation, renewal and performance monitoring, ensuring value for money and strong contractor relationships. 

• Develop and maintain a rolling programme of planned and reactive maintenance, site inspections and condition surveys to ensure the estate is safe, accessible and fit for purpose.

About the role

As Research Grants Manager, you will establish and manage Macmillan’s research funding activities. You’ll help develop our research strategy, build a programme of grant funding, and ensure robust, equitable and transparent processes across the full research funding cycle.

You will work closely with senior clinical leaders, academic partners and research funders to establish Macmillan’s identity within the UK cancer research ecosystem and deliver high‑quality, strategically aligned research grants.

About you

The successful candidate will bring:

• An advanced degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., health policy or health services research, public health, social science, implementation science) or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience of establishing and managing research funding programmes, including application, peer review and post‑award processes within a research funder, charity or equivalent.
• Experience of convening and facilitating expert panels, including lived experience representatives.
• Experience in managing and developing a small team, fostering a collaborative and high‑performing culture
• Strong understanding of research governance, ethics, compliance and impact assessment frameworks.
• Knowledge of the UK research funding landscape and cancer research ecosystem.
• Excellent project management, analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Manage a portfolio of mid-level individual donors, converting one-off supporters into deeper donor relationships
• Manage and grow Art UK’s mid-level regular giving programme, strengthening donor relationships through face-to face meetings, events and personalised communication
• Develop donor development strategies, using CRM to analysis and identify higher gift prospects from existing donor pool and maximise giving potential
• Lead on major gifts for annual Big Give campaigns, identifying and securing keystone pledge donors, and leveraging networks to reach giving targets
• Create and implement, effectively and in a timely manner, development plans for each donor to retain and upgrade donors and document all activities in CRM Beacon
• Prepare and personalise correspondence and fundraising materials, including donor stewardship and reports, funding proposals and acknowledgement letters as appropriate
• Work closely with the Marketing team and other colleagues to showcase Art UK’s work and enhance donor engagement
• Organise and deliver events for major donors and prospects (with support from the Development team), including attending events where appropriate
• Support management of the American Friends of Art UK (launching 2026), including donor stewarding and events programming
• Support senior leadership and board members in the preparation and delivery of high-quality donor pitches to secure new philanthropic gifts
• Monitor progress against targets and maintain accurate reporting, including updates to Art UK’s Board of Trustees and the Philanthropy Board
• Ensure pledges and donations are processed efficiently and that donors are thanked promptly and personally
• Work closely with all members of the Development team to ensure prospecting and cultivation activity is aligned and complementary
• Ensure all philanthropic fundraising activity is conducted in line with legal, regulatory and ethical best practice e.g. GDPR and the Chartered Institute of Fundraising Code of Practice

The Royal Foundation is seeking an exceptional Delivery Manager (Policy) to play a key project management role in coordinating all of United for Wildlife’s influencing and engagement priorities with policymakers.

The Delivery Manager (Policy) is a vital role that will work closely with colleagues across the programme as we deliver ambitious nature conservation initiatives. The Delivery Manager (Policy) is line-managed by the Associate Director (Policy) with accountability to the Programme Manager for adherence to organisational delivery standards, reporting, and risk management.
They will be based within the core United for Wildlife team but will work closely with other Foundation teams, Kensington Palace, and external delivery partners.

The role will be varied and wide-ranging, working with other project team members to determine project needs and key deliverables.

Core responsibilities: 

· Managing preparation of policy meetings, papers, agendas, follow-up.

· Coordinating engagement with governments and international organisations, focusing on signatories to the 2014 London Declaration and subsequent policy statements, including communications, updates, planning meetings.

· Supporting policymakers and the TRF team to develop strategic policy initiatives that are clear and implementable.

· Managing delivery of strategic policy initiatives.

General responsibilities will include:

· Establishing and overseeing the project management processes required to ensure effective delivery of projects within specific strategic areas for our policy engagement work.

· Build and maintain relationships with appropriate internal and external stakeholders, and support the day-to-day management of the stakeholder ecosystem.

· Monitoring and reporting on delivery of specific projects against agreed timelines, ensuring risks, assumptions, dependencies, and actions are identified, tracked, and resolved.

· Chairing key programme update meetings, working with senior colleagues on agendas and ensuring actions and captured and carried out.

· Assist in soliciting and compiling data/inputs for routine narrative and impact reporting internally and externally together with the wider team.

· Promoting a strong partnership/team ethos and collaborative ways of working both within the programme team and wider United for Wildlife membership.

· Undertaking other duties that may, from time to time, be necessary and compatible with the nature and level of this post.

· Playing an active broader role in the programme team, working collaboratively to offer ideas on strategy and operational design.

The role

The Office Manager ensures all building facilities run smoothly on a day-to-day basis. They are responsible for the efficient daily operations of our offices and the building and that these are cost-efficient, environmentally conscious and proportionate for a small, not-for-profit organisation.

The Office Manager is an integral part of the Operations Team playing an important role in ensuring the smooth running and welcoming atmosphere of our offices, directly supporting both internal teams and tenants.

This is multifaceted role. The successful candidate will need to be able to think on their feet, have good time management skills and enjoy wearing more than one hat. 

Key responsibilities

Front of House / Event Management:

· Welcoming all visitors to the SoA building at Bedford Row.

· Managing the post/packages into and out of the building.

· Responsible for managing the Front of House/Operations Assistant and Groups Administrator, including day to day supervision, absence management and ongoing development.

· Responsible for managing the Events Space bookings calendar.

· Managing all events for tenants and external hire from inception to completion including catering as agreed with the client, cleaning team and room set-up of the Events Space.

· Working with the SoA Events Team for internal and member events ensuring that the logistics for room set up and cleaning are in place.

· Acts as a central point of contact for all staff for various Ops/logistics issues.

 Facilities Management:

· Maintain compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and best practise, including fire safety, COSHH, RIDDOR and DSE assessments.

· Ensure all checks, risk assessments and remedial actions are implemented in a timely manner.

· Providing health and safety training to all new joiners.

· Ensure the office maintenance plan is kept up to date and all regular maintenance/services are booked and any identified issues are resolved.

· Organise the maintenance and PAT testing of all electrical equipment.

· Fire Warden/First Aider for the ground floor (training will be arranged if required).

· Proactively ensuring the office facilities remain safe, clean, fully-equipped and operational.

· Point of contact for all staff and tenants in relation to office and building issues and queries.

· Responsible for managing office contracts, negotiating the renewal of existing and new contracts.

· Obtaining quotes for any maintenance/repairs works required and carrying out due diligence checks on all new contractors.

• To have a key role in the organisation’s sustainability policy ensuring the purchase of all office provisions considers cost and any environmental and ethical impacts.

IT Coordination:

· Liaise with external IT support providers as necessary ensuring SLAs are adhered met and effectively resolve IT issues.

· Maintain a laptop register and prepare and maintain an annual rolling plan for renewal of old equipment.

· To oversee the migration of SharePoint data to the new CRM system in 2026.

· To be involved in any IT projects that need to integrate with our office systems (O365, SharePoint and One Drive).

· To be responsible for IT support for the office laptops and office systems (windows, O365, One Drive and SharePoint) ensuring that there is a maintenance contract in place and this is reviewed on a regular basis.

You will be required to undertake any other reasonable duties to support business requirements as requested.
