Job Summary for Colorectal Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist
In our Services team we aim to deliver clear and accessible support offer for people affected by a bowel cancer diagnosis through a clinically focused ‘front door’ of services. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead to deliver a strategy which will extend our reach to bowel cancer patients and establish referral routes from the NHS into our services.
As our Clinical Nurse Specialist you will work on the Charities Ask the Nurse Service alongside other specialist nurses. This is our service for patients to ask questions or concerns about bowel cancer. You will be responsible answering queries from those affected by bowel cancer and managing and developing the service.
You will work closely with the Clinical Lead to ensure Bowel Cancer UK’s clinical focus meets the needs of those affected by bowel cancer and is up to date. You will also provide expert clinical advice, with guidance of the Clinical Lead, across all areas of Bowel Cancer UK - including health professional education, policy, communications and fundraising equipping them with timely health system and clinical information.

Support Coordinator
This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. We are looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service based in Stockport.
Position: S11359 Stroke Support Coordinator
Location: Homebased, Stockport. However frequent travel will be required as part of this role (Will include team meetings, other work-related meetings and home visits)

The Role

Communications Assistant
The Communications Assistant will provide hands-on support to the Communications Manager in the ideation, creation and delivery of our regular external communications. This includes helping to grow our social media following, creating and scheduling content, sourcing and designing images, providing copywriting support, and responding to comments across our channels. WSUK Adult Support Co-ordinator Role
WSUK is seeking a part-time adult support co-ordinator (2.5 days per week, working over 4-5 days, 0.5 FTE, £14.1k-£15.6k per annum), based in the Midlands area. This home-based role will provide support to WS affected adults and their families to help improve the quality of their lives. Through liaising with professionals (including the WS expert clinical team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), Birmingham), external or advocacy organisations, this role will help facilitate access to the services to which WS affected adults and their families are entitled. The adult support co-ordinator will help adults and their families to increase their confidence and independence in living with their condition. Skills and experience

The organisation is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families. Providing tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year. This support includes one-to-one and group support, funding vital scientific research into stroke prevention, acute treatment, recovery and long-term care, and campaigning to secure the best care for everyone affected by stroke.

The role
Contract: Permanent - ASAP
Location: Remote
Hours: Full time (Icebreaker One works a four-day week, Mon-Thurs)
Rate: Circa £28k
Core Responsibilities
Support the Account Manager in maintaining and progressing a pipeline of stakeholder and client relationships, ensuring consistent and timely communication
Attend client and partner meetings alongside (or on behalf of) the Account Manager; take live notes, capture actions and send clear follow-up summaries to stakeholders
Track delivery of all agreed actions with the Account Manager, flagging delays or issues proactively
Maintain and update IB1's CRM (Capsule) with accurate pipeline data, contact records, contract timelines and renewal deadlines and using it to prepare and update metrics as directed
Conduct research into prospective partners, sector organisations and funding opportunities across priority sectors to develop the sales pipeline development
Support the preparation of proposals, pitch materials, statements of work and contract documentation
Support community engagement, assisting in developing relationships, and other engagements
Assist in coordinating IB1's stakeholder engagement activities - including AGMs, webinars, roundtable events and community forums - in collaboration with the Membership and Communications teams
Help map and maintain IB1's stakeholder landscape across priority sectors, identifying gaps, opportunities and relevant networks
Socialise the IB1 Constellation among teams within strategic partner organisations, supporting wider awareness and participation in IB1's expert network
Supporting responsibilities
Maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures for stakeholder outreach, meeting management and pipeline administration
Generate regular reports and pipeline summaries for the Account Manager and senior team
Use insight from ongoing stakeholder engagement to feed back into and improve internal account management processes and documents
Attend daily standups, Show & Tells and standing team meetings; contribute to a collaborative, open working culture
Inputting and supporting into Bids & Grants where requested including but not limited to:
Communicate potential bid opportunities with IB1 bids team
Updating trackers
Creation of bid document templates
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
Demonstrable experience of:
A minimum of 2 years demonstrable experience in a similar role
Excellent communication and writing skills
A proven track record of supporting communication with clients / key relationships
Highly organised and capable of managing time and tasks effectively
Engaging people one-to-one effectively online and in person
Ability to summarise findings so that they can be understood by non-experts
Bringing together groups and individuals and uniting them with a common cause—via a range of face-to-face and virtual events, get-togethers, social media and communication forums
Using and applying Google Suite/Workspace, Slack, Zoom, social media and other tools for working remotely and in the open
The ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Specifics, ideally some or all of the following:
An understanding of net-zero business and policy landscape in our sector focuses (e.g. energy, ESG, finance, built world, transport, agriculture), and Net-zero standards, frameworks, methodologies
An understanding of standards & licensing (e.g. Open, Shared, and Closed data)
An understanding of governance, regulations, and approaches around data sharing (e.g. Smart Data, GDPR)

Who we are
Every year, thousands of people in the UK face court alone. Often through no choice of their own, people must represent themselves at a moment that could have life-changing outcomes. This includes loss of access to children or homelessness. At the same time, people facing court alone may find themselves up against a party with legal representation. They are instantly at a disadvantage and overwhelmed by the enormity of the challenges they are up against. We supported unrepresented litigants in the civil and family courts in England and Wales over 45,000 times last year.
We provide a safe space with volunteers who listen to each client’s individual story. Last year, over 1000 volunteers helped people to get their thoughts in order, problem-solve and decide next steps, source relevant and reliable legal information, explain complex procedures, complete court forms, and clearly present statements.
At a time when legal support is increasingly limited, we have a vision that no one should have to face court alone.
To make this vision a reality, we have a focused communications strategy to ensure the charity has the brand, reach and impact it needs to connect with unrepresented court users and engage supporters.

The Training Project Lead will be based in the service department, and you’ll be supported by the Head of Service Delivery.
