Main Duties include:

• To encourage and assist carers and those they care for to access Care Needs Assessments and Carers Assessments and to take up services that will enhance their lives
• To complete individual grant applications with carers for respite or if they are experiencing financial hardship due to the cost-of-living crisis
• To work where appropriate with other service providers/agencies to promote the carer agenda or jointly deliver carer support issues
• To be proactive in the registration of carers living or caring for someone within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames
• To keep accurate records of group and individual carer engagement for monitoring and evaluation purposes

There are 5 hostels in the cluster ranging from high, medium to low support which are all based in the borough of RBKC. The Heaney Cluster an intensively supported housing scheme for the most challenging customers in the borough.

Staff are expected to work 8 hours daily on a shift rota basis. This will include weekend working. Shifts are 7.30am to 3.30pm and 2.00pm to 10pm.

The fixed term contract is for 6 months.

We are looking for an experienced peer support worker to join our team as part of Chelsea & Westminster NHS Foundation Trust HIV services in Hertfordshire. This is a new role based at clinic locations in Stevenage, Hatfield and Watford where the post holder will work as part of the clinic team to support people living with HIV.

The role will include various workstreams to the service, including: crisis de-escalation, casework, psychoeducation workshops and facilitating a space for peer-led activities.

Your role as a support worker will be to de-escalate those in a state of crisis which is exacerbated or influenced by gambling related behaviours. You will be expected to manage crises within a drop-in model. You will be expected to hold your own caseload of clients, providing 1:1 bespoke advice surrounding gambling and mental health support. In addition, you will aid in facilitating peer-led psychoeducation groups addressing root causes of gambling and a safe environment for loved ones to build meaningful peer connections. You will be joining a small team and be expected to work in partnership with your peer support workers and service lead. Sounds great, what will I be doing?

This role involves empowering clients to manage their health, wellbeing, and independence by identifying strengths and achieving goals in partnership with subcontractors. You'll support their engagement with community professionals, clearly explain service pathways, and co-produce group activities and peer networks. Responsibilities include promoting client safety and participation, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring confidentiality. You'll assist with tenancy management, including rent collection, arrears, and voids, while helping clients build independent living skills. Working flexibly within the team, you'll  also support health and safety, property maintenance, budgeting, and efficient use of resources under the Team Leader's direction.

What do I need to bring with me?

You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.

You will bring a good understanding of health and safety within an accommodation-based setting, with the ability to monitor and maintain the safety and security of a supported housing service and report maintenance issues appropriately. You will have experience supporting individuals with mental health needs, alongside a basic knowledge of housing management, including maintenance and repairs. Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills are essential, enabling you to produce clear written communication and maintain accurate records. You will also demonstrate a solid understanding of safeguarding and the ability to respond to concerns appropriately.

The service is staffed 24/7 and this post-holder will be required to cover an average of at least one sleep-in per week (pro rata).

We're looking for a kind, empathetic and resilient Support worker to join our Homelessness and complex needs Service in Kensington & Chelsea.

£30,784.00 per annum, working 40 hours per week.

There are 5 hostels in the cluster ranging from high, medium to low support which are all based in the borough of RBKC. The Heaney Cluster an intensively supported housing scheme for the most challenging customers in the borough.

Staff are expected to work 8 hours daily on a shift rota basis. This will include weekend working. Shifts are 7.30am to 3.30pm and 2.00pm to 10pm.

The fixed term contract is for 6 months.

Our Family Support Programme

We launched our Family Support Programme in September 2025, initially as a three year pilot working with families across Wandsworth, with aims to be able to expand and continue the service beyond this. This service offers flexible, relationship-based support to families facing a range of challenges, helping them navigate systems, strengthen protective factors, and improve outcomes for children. Operating across extended hours, the service is accessible and responsive, with a strong focus on early intervention, collaboration, and building trust with families.

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Family Support Worker to join our new Family Support Service, supporting families initially across our partner schools in Wandsworth (with the aim of expanding the service beyond this over time).

This is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative early help service from the outset, working within a small, dynamic team to make a tangible difference to the lives of children and their families. As a Family Support Worker, you will deliver flexible, hands-on, and therapeutically minded support to families facing multiple and complex challenges.

You will build trusted relationships through home visits, school meetings, and practical support - empowering parents and carers to strengthen routines, manage behaviour, improve attendance, and access services. Your role will be guided by detailed needs assessments and focused on achieving meaningful outcomes with each family.

Working closely with schools, health and social care professionals, and other local partners, you will contribute to effective, joined-up support for families. Using a restorative approach, you will help build resilience and give families the tools they need to make informed decisions and sustain positive change.

This role is ideally suited to someone with experience working in early help, family support, or community-based roles. You will be part of a mission that helps people across London – in Lewisham, Camden, Islington and Leyton – move from crisis to stability and towards a life they can truly enjoy. From day one, you will be supported by experienced colleagues and immersed in a training programme designed to give you the skills, confidence and knowledge to succeed.

As a Trainee Project Worker/Young Person's Worker, you will be based within a project team, working directly with clients or young people to build trust, create safety and support meaningful progress. You will help people settle into the service, engage with support, develop practical life skills, manage day-to-day challenges and take steps towards greater independence. Whether you are supporting adults or young people, you will play an important role in creating a consistent, encouraging environment where people feel listened to, respected and able to move forward.

As a Trainee Floating Support Worker, you will travel across London to meet clients in their homes and communities, tackling housing issues, supporting health and wellbeing, and helping them achieve personal goals. The work is varied, fast-paced and deeply rewarding, with every shift – whether early mornings, late evenings, weekends or bank holidays – bringing the chance to see real change happen.

In return, you will be part of a comprehensive and engaging Trainee Programme, with support around you from day one. You will learn through trainee-specific workshops, formal training, reflective practice, service visits and hands-on experience alongside knowledgeable colleagues across SHP. Over the course of the traineeship, which usually runs for up to 9 months with the possibility of fast-track at 6 months, you will build skills in areas such as housing, benefits, mental health, safeguarding and recovery-focused support. As your confidence and practice grows, your salary will increase at six and nine months, recognising your development and achievements as you build a meaningful career helping people move from homelessness and crisis towards safety, stability and independence.
