About the role:
This role will work across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent, but will be based in our Stafford office. Hybrid working is considered following our mandatory six month probationary period. Travel across the whole of Staffordshire will be required.
As an IDVA you will be asked to:
- Provide a pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse
- Promoting the service and raising awareness of issues arising, minimising barriers and improving access to support
You will need:
- Experience of providing support those affected by domestic abuse
- Experience of undertaking need and risk assessments and creating safety plans
- Experience of the MARAC and other partnership processes
- Experience of multi agency working

We are recruiting for two CHIDVA who will be working closely with children and their mothers who are living in our refuges escaping domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse, to provide personal welfare support and ensure that our clients are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.
The job involves providing support to children and young people who are living in Warwickshire and have witnessed/experienced domestic abuse. The post holder will support children and young people from the age of 4 – 17 years old who have been affected by domestic abuse, including teenage relationship abuse.
The post holder will support children and young people from the point of crisis to ensure their short term and long-term safety; reduce risk; enable them to access community support services and achieve their goals. You will also be responsible for increasing the ability of partner agencies including schools to recognise and respond appropriately and safely to young people affected by domestic abuse.

About the Role
The Sexual Violence Navigator provides a first point of contact for survivors of sexual violence and abuse, offering compassionate, trauma-informed information and support to help survivors understand their options and access appropriate specialist services:
Survivor Support
- Act as a first point of contact for survivors of sexual violence and professionals supporting them, providing trauma-informed, non-judgemental information, signposting, advice and emotional support.
- Respond to enquiries and referrals within agreed timescales.
- Carry out initial risk and needs assessments and respond to crisis situations, working alongside statutory services where required.
- Support survivors to understand their rights, explore options and make informed choices about onward support.
- Manage a caseload from first contact through to referral, including associated administrative tasks.

- Ensure support is provided through our model of trauma informed care.
- Consult with the triage team to ensure the timely allocation of cases from our central service team into the regional teams.
- Deliver monthly [TL6] case review meetings with regional caseworkers, ensuring needs and risks of clients are met and outcomes recorded including quality assurance of safeguarding. Ensure all data is accurately recorded within the case management system.
- Ensure that callers’ identified needs are met satisfactorily, within professional boundaries, to outcome goals, with those outcomes recorded.
- To monitor and ensure that all support is delivered in a confidential and professional manner, adhering to safeguarding legislation and the latest data protection regulations.
- To consult with local partners and services referring into the service to establish pathways of care.
- Contribute to NRVS’ wider processes of audit, evaluation, and impact monitoring.
- Provide assessments and decisions around complex intervention planning, including escalation of cases requiring clinical guidance to clinical director.
- Actively contribute to the development of relationships with key stakeholders, organisations, and professionals in the region. This may include the provision of training and presentations to ensure that they are aware of the service.

Essential qualities
- Experience of managing high-risk support services on a national basis working with people in crisis with acute vulnerabilities and risks.
- Extensive experience of managing and co-ordinating teams, including remotely, including HR policies and procedures.
- Experience of establishing and sustaining partnerships with key partners, stakeholders, and other professionals.
- Experience of report writing for funding bodies.
- Experience of a case management review process and support framework, safeguarding and active monitoring, and escalation of cases with health and safety needs.
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of best practice in working with people who have experienced sudden loss and traumatic bereavement and managing services in this area.
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of working in a trauma informed way, providing trauma informed care to adults and families.

Overview
FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.
This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, whilst working proactively with other professionals, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.
FearFree is committed to flexible and hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based, alongside requiring travel for multi-agency meetings and other deliverables.
This role may include evening and weekend work when required. It is fixed term until October 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of low to high risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies and group work.
- Plan, recruit and deliver group work interventions for children and young people alongside colleagues.
- Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating.

About this role: Based in Higher Openshaw, East Manchester, Justlife currently works across Manchester and Tameside providing one-to-one key work support to empower vulnerable adults housed in temporary accommodation (TA) to move towards more secure housing, independent living and improved health and wellbeing. The role of Specialist Support Worker involves playing an active part in the Specialist Support Team by supporting a caseload of clients that are experiencing housing vulnerability and taking part in regular outreach visits to TA’s across Greater Manchester on the Justlife minibus. The role requires the use of specialist knowledge and relationship skills to support clients with varying degrees of mental and physical health, addiction and trauma related issues to engage with health services and to access suitable housing solutions. The Specialist Support Worker is also expected to develop good working relationships with TA Landlords and Managers recognising the important role that they play in ensuring that their tenants experience of TA is as positive as possible. This will include advocacy in registering them for medical services and accompanying them to appointments, assisting them in addressing all aspects of physical and mental health and addiction needs, as well as advocating for them to get access to suitable housing and social security benefits. The role is dependent on excellent communication and collaborative working with colleagues and a variety of partners and professionals, including the Probation Service, local council services and other third sector organisations. The role requires a high degree of motivation in addition to creativity and flexibility to support people with multiple and compound needs. With a passion to work collaboratively with others for the good of our clients, and with experience of working in a related field in a voluntary or paid capacity. A high degree of emotional intelligence is required to support clients, many of whom have complex emotional needs, with backgrounds of trauma, neglect, abuse and involvement in the criminal justice system. In a role of this nature you will experience a range of emotions from joy to grief and as such it requires a high degree of resilience and self-awareness to cope with the emotional demands of the role. Purpose of the Role

We are in the process of expanding our service beyond our London footprint to Bedfordshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Kent, along with Thames Valley, providing one-to-one advocacy and specialist work including workshops and group activities delivered by Advance in partnership with voluntary organisations.
This role plays a critical part in creating, coordinating and delivering the group offering for women accessing our Commissioned Rehabilitative Services (CRS), as well as providing administration support across the region.
In short you will:
- Be the first point of contact for clients coming to the Women’s Centre; offering a warm welcome and trauma informed approach
- Ensure the client waiting area is kept tidy with up-to-date information/leaflets and supplies of refreshments
- Create structured sessions based on CRS support pathways and/or advance’s EDI strategy
- Deliver, facilitate and coordinate direct group delivery and events at the Women’s Centre and regional venues
- Hold a small caseload of women that are accessing the Women’s Centre and/or in the community in line with service delivery need – to include completing initial assessments where required
- Build relationships with external organisations and partners to support the delivery of structured sessions at the Women’s Centre and to signpost women for wrap around support where appropriate
- Assist in researching additional resources and events for service users; both within the Centre and across the region
- Contribute to creating and lead on updating the local Services Directory with details of local organisations, key contacts and details of services on offer, including eligibility criteria
- Assist the Service Manager in managing the smooth running of the Women’s Centre in your region, including managing the group workshops timetable, arranging meetings and booking external venues for client groups or training events
- Support administration for the Hampshire Minerva team
- Assist the Service Manager with the quality assurance and collation of data and information as required, including for funder reports.
About You:
To be successful as the Women’s Centre Coordinator you will need the below experience and skills:
- You are an excellent relationship builder who can warmly work with women
- You will have experience of creating, delivering and facilitating engaging group workshops
- You will bring experience of supporting vulnerable communities and have good working knowledge about safeguarding and risk management and bring an eagerness to learn and develop new skills
- You will deliver an exceptional first point of contact service, and contribute to creating a safe space for women in service
