The International Youth Federation is an international non-profit youth organizations network governed by the present Statutes and the Swiss Civil Code. It is neutral politically and non-denominational, aiming to empower youth worldwide.

The core function of the IYF Executive Office (ExO) is to provide the support services needed to enable the IYF Senior Management Team (SMT) to perform their leadership roles effectively. The IYFEO tasked with the responsibility to provide policy and programmatic support to IYF's activities across HQ Bureaux and Regional Administrations.

The Office of the IYF Secretary-General (OSG) is an integral part of the Executive Office established to inspire and cultivate the next generation of innovative leaders. The OSG serves as an instrumental unit, where the strategic decisions and operational oversight of the IYF are made, including its various operational and programme oversight.

Under the guidance of the OSG Deputy Director, the Senior Communications Manager will be required to interpret programmatic priorities and complex material into clear, contextually relevant language that is accessible to targeted audiences and accurately reflects the position of the IYF. He/she will research, write and edit speeches, video messages, talking points, forewords, editorials and other materials to position the Secretary-General and the IYF as a global and trusted voice on youth development.

Mission Statement
To voluntarily represent, positively promote, and uphold the mission of “Empowering youth for a better world” in various programs and opportunities throughout the IYF interventions across member countries.

Responsibilities
• Take the lead in strategy, planning, research and production of a wide range of communications materials, including speeches, lectures, statements, articles, op-eds, and other major written contributions.
• Develop and implement a communication work plan for the President/SG, aligned with the IYF Global Strategy and related communications plans, in order to maximize media coverage of the activities of IYF.
• Research and analyze information gathered from diverse sources, including in close coordination with the Department of Public Information, for use in written materials and communications products.
• Seek input and information from senior staff, review relevant material, project documents and reports with a view to drafting and editing speeches, statements and talking points while ensuring policy coherence and accuracy.
• Write opinion pieces and articles on behalf of the President/SG for high-profile media in order to maximize the impact of IYF activities by identifying and developing newsworthy ideas/topics and identifying possible high-profile media for placement.
• Perform other media work-related duties as assigned.

Skills Required:

Executive Speechwriting & Messaging

• Draft speeches, talking points, video messages, forewords, and statements for Senior Management
• Translate complex policy and programmatic priorities into clear, compelling narratives
• Ensure alignment with organizational strategy and policy coherence

Speaking Engagements & Global Event Sourcing

• Identify and secure high-level speaking opportunities at international conferences and forums
• Proactively research global events aligned with organizational priorities
• Position senior leaders as keynote speakers, panelists, or thought leaders

Media Relations & Press Engagement

• Build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets
• Pitch op-eds, articles, and interviews to high-profile media platforms
• Maximize media coverage and visibility of senior leadership activities

Strategic Executive Communications Planning

• Develop and implement communications work plans for Senior Management
• Align executive visibility efforts with the Global Strategy and communications objectives
• Monitor opportunities to enhance public positioning and influence

Stakeholder Coordination & Advisory Support

Liaise with internal departments to gather accurate, up-to-date information

• Advise senior leaders on messaging approach and audience positioning
• Ensure consistency across speeches, media engagements, and public appearances

Experience 
Experience within an NGO, INGO (such as the United Nations), charity, government, non-profit, not-for-profit, international relations, international development (such as USAID) or youth empowerment or similar organization is advantageous but not essential.

We are looking for a creative and user-focused Volunteer Product Designer / UX Designer to help design intuitive, accessible, and impactful digital experiences for StackCIC. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving real problems through design and wants to use their skills to create positive social impact while building real-world experience.

You’ll collaborate with developers, project managers, and non-technical stakeholders to shape products and features that genuinely serve our community.

Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accurately

The British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) is the professional membership organisation for urologists and urological teams in the UK. We are a registered charity representing over 2,500 members, including consultants, trainees and allied health professionals, all committed to improving the care and outcomes of people with urological conditions.

BAUS delivers education and professional development through national conferences, specialist training and clinical audit, playing a key role in setting professional standards and sharing best practice across the UK and internationally.

 About the roles

The board of trustees provides collective leadership, oversight and strategic guidance to ensure BAUS fulfils its charitable objectives and continues to thrive for the benefit of patients and professionals alike.

Trustees work closely with our senior team and council to oversee strategy, risk and resources, ensuring that our work reflects the evolving needs of the urological community and wider healthcare landscape.

We now seek to appoint two new lay trustees as we look to further develop and grow our impact. These key roles represent an exciting opportunity to contribute to the continued development of an organisation at the heart of advancing urological care and professional excellence.

Who we are looking for

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who bring skills and perspectives that complement those of our existing Board and membership. In particular, we would welcome:

• Public affairs and policy experience, ideally with an understanding of health or professional regulation, to help strengthen BAUS’s engagement with government and external stakeholders.
• Strategic communications or advocacy expertise, with the ability to help shape our voice and influence policy and patient engagement.
• Income generation expertise, ideally from the pharmaceutical industry.
• Patient Engagement, ideally with experience of patient and public engagement, advocating for those with lived experience
• Governance/legal experience, ideally with medical association experience

You do not need prior board experience to apply. We welcome expressions of interest from those new to trusteeship who share our values, are committed to public benefit and are keen to learn and contribute.

BAUS is deeply committed to inclusion and widening participation across our membership, leadership and governance. We particularly encourage applications from women, people from underrepresented backgrounds and those with lived experience of the issues we address.

Time commitment

The equivalent of approximately 1 – 2 days per month. The board meets five to six times a year, usually in London or virtually. Trustees are expected to attend our annual scientific meeting (3 days each June). Each trustee will sit on a clinical sub-committee. They are encouraged to engage in BAUS events and working groups that align with their interests and expertise.

Are you an enthusiastic volunteer looking for a new role where you'll be able to use your skills to really make a difference? Are you passionate about helping others? Could you use your literacy knowledge to support volunteers and readers?

Read Easy Sheffield is a successful local charity that provides free, confidential, one to-one reading coaching for adults who struggle with reading, affiliated to national charity Read Easy UK. We are currently looking to expand our work and for this we need some more volunteers to join our friendly management team, and we excited to be seeking a new Literacy Specialist.

The Literacy Specialist is a vital and interesting role within the Read Easy Sheffield Management Team to make sure that all readers get the support they need during their reading journey. You’ll provide literacy support to the volunteer coaches and give advice on specific challenges they may be facing. This voluntary position would be fantastic for someone who has experience with literacy and education, and can be patient and flexible. You will receive training and support from Read Easy UK to develop your skills, and get to work alongside an enthusiastic Management Team. You will play an instrumental part in making sure our group continues to thrive!

What will you be doing?

• Providing literacy support to the Coordinators and Reading Coaches.
• Visiting reading pairs to advise on specific situations and challenges that Readers and Coaches may be facing.
• Contributing to the content, delivery and organisation of coach meetings.
• Finding or creating useful activities and resources that Coaches can use to support and extend their Readers’ learning.
• Attending monthly Management Team meetings.

The role is flexible so you can choose your own hours – you might expect to spend 2 to 3 hours a week on this. To get the most from the role, we expect all Management Team members to support Read Easy Sheffield for at least one year.

Please be aware that the reading coaching takes place in venues across the city, mainly in libraries and community centres. Bearing in mind that the role will involve occasional visits to pairs to offer support with their sessions when needed, you will need to be Sheffield-based and ideally able to drive or travel around the city.

Volunteer Opportunity: Fundraising Working Group 

Meeting Time: Tuesday, 6–8pm, Every Other Month (bi-monthly)

At Mary’s Youth Club, we believe in joyful, creative spaces where young people aged 10–19  can grow, thrive, and feel like they truly belong. We're proud of our vibrant, inclusive community – and we’re looking for passionate volunteers to help keep it strong and sustainable. 

We’re inviting community-minded individuals to join our Fundraising Working Group. This is a hands-on, action-focused volunteer team (not a trustee role!) that supports the financial stability of Mary’s by helping to shape and deliver fundraising initiatives throughout the year. 

You’ll be working alongside our Business Operations Manager, with support from the CEO, trustees, and the wider fundraising volunteer group, to bring energy and fresh ideas to everything from annual events and community campaigns to grant applications and local partnerships. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Supporting the planning and delivery of fundraising events and campaigns 

• Contributing to grant research and application processes 

• Generating creative fundraising ideas with the team 

• Helping build community partnerships and local business links 

• Attending bi-monthly evening meetings and following up on agreed action

About the role

Ubuntu Pathways is seeking a proactive, organised, and mission-driven intern to join our close-knit London office to assist in organising and facilitating our upcoming office move. This role will report to the Fundraising & Operations Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to contribute meaningfully to Ubuntu’s impact in Gqeberha, South Africa, while gaining valuable experience in global fundraising and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

• Supporting digitisation and organisation of donor files

• Preparing the office for relocation (clearing, packing, labelling)

• Conducting donor and grant prospect research

• Supporting marketing and social media activities

• Preparing and filing Gift Aid documentation

• Assisting with general office admin and supplies

Bright Futures UK is looking for passionate and engaging tutors to provide educational support to primary aged pupils in Maths and English and a fun, safe learning environment for young people living with long-term illnesses.

What will you be doing? 

• Run tutoring sessions online to support a young person. 

• Offer subject area knowledge and expertise related to KS1 and KS2 Maths and English. 

• Help to combat social isolation through fun and engaging tutoring sessions. 

• Adhere to safeguarding policies and report concerns to the BFUK Team

What are we looking for? 

• Subject Knowledge: Strong understanding of Primary Maths and English Curriculum. 

• Teaching Skills: Ability to explain complex ideas in a clear and engaging way.

• Empathy and Patience: Kind and understanding nature, especially towards those facing health challenges.

• Reliability: Consistent availability for the agreed-upon time commitment.

• Experience working with SEN learners is an advantage

• Adherence to safeguarding policies and report concerns to the BFUK Team

• You must be a UK resident and be at least 18 years old.

Our House Experience Volunteers add the sparkle to any visit – giving everyone a warm welcome, bringing stories from Ickworth to life and helping people get the best out of their day. 

 This role will suit you if you are:

• Warm and friendly.
• Someone with a curious and inquisitive nature, with an ability to engage our visitors, ask questions and facilitate conversations.
• Able to listen thoughtfully and actively.
• Someone with exceptional customer service standards- a desire to put visitors before everything else.
• A good storyteller, with a talent for reading body language and thinking on your feet
• Sensitive to visitor and volunteer needs – working as an effective team member.
• Willing to develop your knowledge of Ickworth, its history and vast collections.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Responding to the diverse needs of visitors, including people with additional access needs.
• Sharing inspirational stories, curious facts and practical information or simply the space for visitors to wander at their own pace.
• Helping visitors to discover more, answering questions and making suggestions so they can enjoy their day, their way.
• Being an ambassador for the whole property and the National Trust. Helping visitors understand the full scope of the offer at Ickworth beyond the house.
• Learning more about Ickworth, so you can share your knowledge and stories of the family and their collections with visitors.
• Responding to the changing needs of Ickworth – supporting ongoing interpretation strategies in the House.
• Supporting with health and safety and evacuation procedures if required.
• Being part of a team that may need to adapt and change in response to local needs, National Trust priorities or changes to government guidelines
