We are Buttons & Bubbles C.I.C and our mission is to increase inclusion and representation for disabled families across society. We offer a variety of services including bespoke characters, workshops, free resources, events, sensory trails, and more.

We are looking for volunteers to help us apply for and secure funding to support our valuable work. This role can be done remotely, with no fixed rota, and the amount of time you give is flexible.

Volunteer Role: Marketing & Fundraising Campaign Specialist

About Say Aphasia
Say Aphasia is a charity supporting people living with aphasia—a language and
communication disability that can affect a person’s ability to speak, understand, read, or
write, often caused by stroke or brain injury. Our local support groups offer a safe,
welcoming environment where people with aphasia and their families can connect, share,
and support one another.

Role Overview
We are seeking a volunteer marketing expert to help design and deliver creative
marketing strategies that strengthen our fundraising campaigns. Your expertise will help
us reach new supporters, increase donations, and grow our impact.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in marketing, digital campaigns, brand
strategy, or fundraising communications who wants to apply their skills to a
meaningful cause.

Saving Strays is looking for a dynamic fundraising co-ordinator with experience in grass roots and event fundraising to help take our team of dedicated fundraising volunteers to the next level! The role will include initiating and implementing regional team leaders to run local fundraising events and recruit local people to support offline and online fundraising activities. You will liaise with our Head of Fundraising and help to inspire and grow the current team. Think Tank experience, great communication skills and a love of dogs is a must. Although the role is remote there will be opportunites at the charity's main fundraising concerts and events to work alongside the team members in person. We are a fun loving dedicated group of like minded people and we would love to welcome you to the team.

Role Summary

As the Fundraising Coordinator, you will be responsible for helping create and implementing strategies to fundraise from both existing and new sources (individuals, mosques, grants etc.) with the aim of securing the long-term financial stability of Roots Academy.

Key tasks

Fundraising Planning:

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to achieve income goals.
• Identify potential new funding sources and opportunities for income generation.

Campaign Management:

• Plan and oversee fundraising campaigns and events, including direct appeals, online campaigns, and fundraising events at mosques.
• Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to develop compelling fundraising material.

Proposal Development:

• Research trusts, foundations and corporations for grant opportunities.
• Work with the team to develop proposals, supporting with grant writing when needed.

Budget Oversight:

• Work closely with the finance team to monitor fundraising budgets, expenditure, and financial projections.

Donor Relations:

• Support with Donor Communications in activities related to donor relationship management and stewardship.

• Experience in organising fundraising campaigns and events, including digital fundraising strategies
• Strong understanding of fundraising principles and techniques, including donor cultivation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate the organisation’s mission and impact to diverse audiences

Fundraising Manager (Team Leader)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, friendly, and highly organised Volunteer Fundraising Manager to lead our fundraising function and help us deliver a clear, consistent, and timely pipeline of income opportunities.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will work closely with the Director to shape and manage our fundraising strategy, prioritise opportunities, and coordinate a small team of fundraising volunteers.

Please note: This role is not responsible for writing full applications. Instead, you will focus on strategy, coordination, quality assurance, and momentum. You will support the team by reviewing drafts, giving clear feedback, and ensuring applications are aligned with our charity’s mission and submitted on time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and maintain an effective fundraising strategy in collaboration with the Director
• Guide and support a team of around five fundraising volunteers, setting priorities and keeping everyone on track
• Manage the fundraising pipeline (opportunities, deadlines, progress tracking, and follow-ups)
• Provide timely responses to team questions and unblock issues quickly
• Review and improve fundraising drafts (structure, clarity, alignment, tone, completeness, and fit with funder criteria)
• Ensure applications and supporting documents are consistent, accurate, and submitted within deadlines
• Coordinate light-touch check-ins, task allocation, and updates (weekly or fortnightly, as agreed)
• Help improve systems and templates so the team can work efficiently (for example trackers, folder structure, and standard wording)

Who we’re looking for

Essential

• Proven experience in fundraising (charity, community interest, education, health, environment, or similar)
• Strong understanding of what makes a successful grant or fundraising case, and how to align it to funder criteria
• Confident leading and supporting a small team, with a collaborative and encouraging style
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to give clear, constructive feedback
• Highly organised, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
• Able to commit around 4 hours per week on an ongoing basis

Desirable

• Experience managing a fundraising pipeline or CRM, or maintaining trackers and workflows
• Experience developing fundraising strategy and prioritisation
• Familiarity with UK trusts and foundations, corporate giving, or community fundraising

We are at the start of an exciting five-year transformation programme to strengthen our impact, grow visitor engagement, and deliver a major capital redevelopment project: “Unlocking Stories at the Roald Dahl Museum”. Trustees will play a pivotal role in guiding the Museum through this important period of change, growth, and opportunity.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking people who want to make a meaningful, strategic contribution and help shape the future direction of the Museum. Trustees work collaboratively to guide strategy, support ambitious plans, and ensure the organisation thrives creatively, financially, and operationally.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Human Resources – to shape our people strategy, leadership development, and organisational culture.
• Finance – to shape our financial strategy through a major capital project and to ensure the museum thrives long-term (ideally this trustee will be a qualified accountant).
• Fundraising – to grow income and support the delivery of our redevelopment and future sustainability.
• Partnerships – to encourage the development of strategic partnerships nationally and internationally.

You do not need previous trustee experience, nor do you need to have worked in a museum or cultural organisation. We welcome first-time trustees and are looking for people with good judgement, strategic thinking skills, and a collaborative approach. All reasonable expenses are covered.

Time commitment and terms

• Trustees typically contribute around one working day per month, including Board meetings and participation in at least one committee (Finance, Governance, Fundraising, or Capital Project Committee).
• Trustees are appointed for an initial three-year term, with the possibility of reappointment for a second term.
• This is a voluntary, unpaid role, but all reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses are reimbursed, including childcare.

Trustees receive a full induction, mentoring, and clear briefing materials, allowing them to focus on strategic oversight rather than operational detail. The Museum encourages and covers the cost of relevant training to support Trustees in their role

Can you help us to bring in the funds we need to make the food bank a success? 

We are looking for a volunteer Fundraising Lead to play a significant role in shaping a fundraising strategy, help raise awareness of Bounds Green Food Bank (BGFB) and generate income through events, projects and fundraising activities.

We currently raise money through grants, individual donations and community projects. We would like to broaden our fundraising initiatives and are looking for someone to raise funds, meet fundraising targets, raise our profile with key funding partners, and inspire relevant groups to support us.

About Bounds Green Food Bank: 

Open since June 2020, we serve over 1,500 children and adults in the community. We are committed to improving lives by providing food and essential household items and helping alleviate household food insecurity. We strive to promote social inclusion by supporting people and families in crisis situations and needing assistance.

The role: 

• Work with the Board of Trustees to agree a fundraising strategy, including setting annual fundraising targets

• Help to develop a fundraising team

• Identify income-generating opportunities and develop projects

• Build, develop and maintain relationships to secure funding

• Provide guidance to other teams that support fundraising initiatives e.g. the Grants Writing Team, Events Team and the Communication Team

Person specification: 

• Passionate about food insecurity and reducing social isolation
