The online marketplace is a fantastic way to support our fundraising efforts and boost vital donations for the Hospice. When selling items online, we take the time to research each item, snap some great photos, set fair prices, and list them on the right platforms. If you enjoy online shopping, have a good eye for detail and a flair for photography, then this could be the perfect role for you!

Ideally, you will commit to a 4 hour shift between 10am and 2pm on either Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and/or Fridays.

You’ll be comfortable using online marketplace platforms (especially Ebay), confident writing product descriptions, and taking photos with the provided smartphone on a white background. By volunteering as an E-commerce Assistant Volunteer, you’ll not only gain new skills, knowledge, and social networks, you’ll be making a difference in your local community.

At WWT, we believe that the best way for people to understand and connect to wetlands is to experience them, so we bring awe-inspiring nature up close and let it do the talking. Imagery is a central part of connecting our supporters to the work we do.

We are looking for an Image Library Volunteer to help us manage our thousands of engaging and inspiring images, capturing our events and activities, people, wildlife, and visitor experiences. These images are used in our promotional materials including website, press releases, staff & volunteer booklets, social media, and news articles. 

You will be selecting the most inspiring and engaging images, uploading them to our Image Library, tagging images to facilitate user searches, and regularly reviewing uploaded material. This is an important role in helping to keep our image database updated, on-brand, and easily accessible as a vital resource for staff across WWT.

Volunteers are an essential part of the WWT team, and we wouldn’t be able to maintain our internationally important wetland sites without their help. You will receive a very warm welcome, full induction & training, and be provided with any necessary equipment, uniforms, and anything else needed to thrive in your role.

Can you help the Bristol Oxfam Online Shop raise money to support and empower some of the world’s most vulnerable communities?

We are looking for people with an eye for detail to help us research, prepare, photograph, describe and dispatch our homewares on Oxfam’s bespoke online shop. Our specialist online shop sells an eclectic range of clothing, accessories, books, music, film and homewares, sourced from our generous donors at Oxfam shops across the area.

We have had some very interesting homewares donations over the years, from antique postal scales to vintage bears and Wedgwood tea sets. If you know your homewares and can help us identify, price, list and photograph our stock your help will be invaluable! You will receive full training and support from our friendly and knowledgeable team.

What you can do at the shop:

We believe in empowering our volunteers so, depending on your interests and what you would like to get out of the role, you can get involved with any of the following aspects of running the online shop (and more!):

· Researching rare and valuable stock

· Selection, preparation and presentation of stock

· Photography and editing

· Creating accurate and engaging online listings

· Creating engaging content for the shop's social media platforms

· Packaging and dispatching items

Our shop only sells online and we are not open to the public, so if are interested in gaining ecommerce experience but would value a quieter, relaxed working environment, you will love it here!

Every pound raised in these incredibly challenging times supports Oxfam’s aim of ending extreme poverty. This income is vital to empower people to help themselves out of poverty, and, crucially, it allows us to act immediately when a disaster happens - saving lives and providing essential resources to help rebuild communities.

Role Summary

As a Graphic Designer, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual identity of Roots Academy Canada. From designing educational resources and social media assets to crafting digital campaigns and event materials, your work will ensure our content reflects ihsan (excellence), clarity, and spiritual depth. You will help bring Islamic learning to life through purposeful, polished, and impactful design.

Key tasks

• Design Development: Create visually compelling graphics for use across social media, email, web, presentations, and print

• Brand Consistency: Ensure all visual materials align with Roots Academy’s brand guidelines and Islamic values

• Content Support: Collaborate with the social media and education teams to translate ideas and scripts into polished, engaging visuals

• Campaign Assets: Support event and program launches by designing posters, promo kits, and other visual collateral

• Template Creation: Build easy-to-edit templates for internal teams to use (e.g., Canva or Google Slides)

• Revision & Feedback: Adapt designs based on team feedback while maintaining efficiency and quality

• Trend Awareness: Stay up to date on design and content trends, especially within the faith-based and youth development space

• Project Management: Maintain organized design files and deliver work in a timely manner

What we’re looking for

• Strong design portfolio demonstrating creativity, clarity, and alignment with brand guidelines

• Experience using tools like Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Figma

• Attention to detail and a strong sense of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy

As a Digital Catalogue Volunteer, you will help organise and catalogue digital files created from the scanning of photographs and other archive material generously donated by Aden veterans. 

Your role will be to catalogue these digital files accurately and consistently, creating a searchable resource that preserves this important history. By helping to build this archive, you will ensure that the stories and experiences of those who served in the Aden Emergency - often referred to as The Forgotten War -  remain accessible for future generations.

Thanks to donations, we have preserved more than 500 photographs, alongside a wide range of historically significant items. Together, they provide a unique insight into life during the Aden Emergency, capturing comradeship, military life, travel, landscapes, vehicles and the everyday experiences of those who served.

We are currently recruiting for a Social Media Volunteer. The Plateful Café works to relieve poverty and isolation amongst refugees, asylum seekers and other ethnic minorities in south-east London. Our commitment is to ensure we reach the most vulnerable people in our community and help them access the support they are entitled to.
