Summary of Role
The Volunteer Director of Individual Giving at Solution Community plays a key role in strengthening Solution’s financial sustainability by developing, implementing, and managing strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors. This role is responsible for growing our annual giving program and building lasting relationships with our supporters, directly impacting our ability to achieve our mission. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to contribute their expertise and passion to a cause they believe in.
Key Responsibilities:
Annual Giving Program Management:
Develop and execute comprehensive annual giving campaigns (e.g., year-end appeals, spring campaigns, monthly giving programs) across various channels (direct mail, email, social media, online).
Set realistic fundraising goals for individual giving and track progress toward them.
Analyze campaign performance and recommend adjustments to maximize impact.
Identify opportunities to expand the donor base and increase donor retention rates.
Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:
Identify, research, and qualify prospective individual donors.
Develop and implement personalized cultivation and stewardship strategies to engage donors at all levels.
Oversee timely and meaningful donor acknowledgment and recognition.
Act as a primary point of contact for a portfolio of key individual donors, building strong, lasting relationships.
Data Management and Reporting:
Ensure accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization's CRM system
Generate reports on donor acquisition, retention, gift size, and overall individual giving performance.
Utilize data to inform strategies and identify trends.
Strategy and Collaboration:
Collaborate with the Development team and other leaders to align individual giving strategies with the organization's overall goals and fundraising priorities.
Identify and recommend best practices in individual giving and annual fund development.
Potentially recruit, onboard, and manage a small team of volunteer fundraising support staff, if applicable.
Represent the organization professionally and enthusiastically to donors and prospects.
Qualifications:
Proven experience (7+ years preferred) in individual donor fundraising, annual giving, or a related development role.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing annual giving campaigns.
Strong understanding of donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals and donor communications.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with major donors, understand their motivations, and align their giving with our organizational mission.
Experience developing and implementing successful major gift strategies, including setting goals, tracking progress, and adjusting strategies based on outcomes.
Ability to craft compelling narratives that communicate the impact of Solution Community’s work and inspire philanthropic support.
Ability to lead and inspire a team and work cross-functionally with other departments to achieve fundraising goals.
Familiarity with ClickUp, Slack, Google Workspace, and other digital tools for project management, communication, and scheduling.

Will you share your counselling or psychotherapy skills as a counsellor or therapist to join an online counselling service for patients and families affected by a chronic pain condition (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome)?
We're looking for 3 qualified counsellors, psychotherapists or psychologists volunteers ideally with some experience of working with chronic pain patients or lived experience of chronic illness, who may want to volunteer their skills supporting our adult service users (aged 18 & over) and help us to continue developing a mental health support service.
As a Volunteer Counsellor/Therapist you’ll be providing remote counselling/therapy support services to adults aged 18 and over many of whom are isolated and in need of mental health services. You’ll be providing one-to-one counselling/therapy sessions online via Zoom or by phone. With your recognised counselling qualifications and experience you will be an asset to our small charity and to our services users.
Depending on your qualifications, skills and experience, our volunteer counsellors / therapists provide person centred counselling (general talking counselling) or integrative counselling, or specialist services such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), ACT, CFT and EMDR for CRPS patients, or their families & close relatives.
People will be referred both by health or legal professionals as well as having patients and carers themselves referring into to the service.
In this role you’ll be able to develop your counselling and therapy skills, organisation, communication and team working skills.
Most importantly you’ll be providing essential services that help make sure no one has to face CRPS alone. Be the hope for CRPS.
What the role involves
This role may vary depending on needs, but is likely to include:
Undertake client assessments following triage by Clinical Lead, followed by counselling / therapy (via Zoom or phone) to our clients, offering up to 20 sessions for each client plus a check in and 4 psychometric assessments
Providing one-to-one counselling sessions to clients aged 18 & over
Update our database with the client’s information, sessional notes and session attendance
Maintain succinct, relevant session notes and store these confidentially and securely in acccordahce with GDPR
Attend CPD training to ensure your knowledge stays current
We can support you to develop the skills you need for this role, including a full induction. You will have a chance to discuss your role and any additional needs with us. We can offer you a supervisor as well as expenses for annual insurance and an external supervisor if required.
What you need for this role
Essential
Willing and able to provide counselling via Zoom from a private location with a stable WiFi connection
Able to support a minimum of 3 clients a week, being three hours of your time for therapy sessions plus time for administration and attending group supervision for 1.5 hours a month. We ideally hope you to offer the charity a minimum commitment of six months.
Desirable
Once we’ve assessed your application, you may be invited for interview. If you are successful, we will arrange for you to have an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service DBS or Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check.

About the role:
As a Founding Volunteer Hospitality Operations Consultant, you will work closely with the leadership team to design the retreat's operational structure before construction and launch.
You will help create the guest journey, accommodation experience, retreat activities, staffing requirements, wellness offerings, cultural experiences, food and beverage operations, maintenance systems, and daily operating procedures.

Cambridge Nightline is a confidential and anonymous listening service run by students, for students. We have been providing peer-to-peer support to students at the University of Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin University for over 50 years. We offer support via telephone and instant messaging (IM), and open at night when other support services are often closed.
Cambridge Nightline has recently appointed a Board of Trustees, and is working towards becoming a registered charity. Our aim as Trustees is to provide oversight and guidance to the student Executive Committee, whilst supporting them as much as possible to continue to lead the direction of the service.
We are now seeking a voluntary Treasurer to join the Board of Trustees.

Role of Treasurer of the Board
The Treasurer of the Board of Trustees will take the lead at board level in assuming responsibility for the financial oversight of Cambridge Nightline. You will work alongside the Board of Trustees and student Executive Committee in reviewing the organisation’s financial performance to ensure its finances are managed responsibly, in accordance with the objects of the organisation and with legal requirements.
The Treasurer of the Board will work closely with the Student Treasurer to oversee the budget and financial administration, and to ensure the sustainability of the organisation’s funding and reserves. As Cambridge Nightline works towards becoming a registered charity, you will provide advice and guidance to the Board of Trustees to ensure financial compliance with charity law.
