Job description

Support the organisation and delivery of activity days and outings for children with complex medical needs and their siblings. Activities could include arts and crafts, sports, sensory play, soft play and music.

Role responsibilities:

  • Help with the set up and clearing away of activities for the day
  • Welcome families and children on the day
  • Support children with complex medical needs and their siblings with activities, either 1:1 or in a group depending on the needs of the children attending
  • Participate in a briefing and de-briefing before and after the day
  • Undertake The Maypole Project initial training (half day)
  • Attend a training update session once per annum
  • Follow The Maypole Project policies and guidelines at all times whilst volunteering


Opportunities are available in the London Borough of Bromley and occasionally in the London Borough of Greenwich

Time commitment:

Activity days take place in school holidays and occasionally during term-time in the evening. We ask our volunteers to commit to 3 days or more a year if possible and to attend training.
