We’re looking for a highly motivated communications professional who is passionate about supporting the growth of FoodCycle and working to help people understand the many benefits of community dining.

We’ve grown a lot over the last 15 years and our weekly community meals now run in more than 85 towns and cities across England and Wales. This role is vitally important in supporting our growth - we have plans to reach 100 Community Meal Projects by the end of this year as well as launching new initiatives that will help us support more families and children. 

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Marketing and the wider marketing team to develop campaigns and plans that will get as many people as possible talking about FoodCycle’s work, enhance our visibility and become the leaders in delivering and promoting community dining. 

You will have experience working within media or PR, with a track record of securing high quality media coverage. You will have knowledge of the media landscape, and the ability to craft a press release, pitch a story, work with case studies, and write blog posts.

Benefits: We offer 26.5 working days (this includes 3.5 days for the Christmas close down) plus additional holiday for length of service, up to a maximum of 30 days (pro-rata for part-time). About the role 

You’ll lead and coordinate our local campaigning work across Wales. Your work will help the charity improve the lives of people in local communities affected by Parkinson’s. You’ll listen to the needs of our local communities and work with volunteers and colleagues in the wider Wales team to do focussed campaigning and advocacy work. 

Through co-production you’ll ensure that the voices of people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers are heard by decision makers.

What you’ll do:

• Support the development and delivery of campaigns activity for Wales and proactively identify opportunities for public-facing campaigns.

• Recruit and manage a sustainable community of campaign volunteers.

• Use our national campaign priorities to deliver related local campaign activity.

• Organise and deliver training events for people with lived experience who wish to engage as well as campaign volunteers.

• Create content for public facing elements of campaigns, including supporter actions, web pages, newsletter and social media.

What you’ll bring:

• Ability to network and build supportive relationships with volunteers, MSs/MPs and health bodies. 

• Ability to work independently, coproductively and as a part of a team. 

• Experience in organising events. 

• Experience of delivering training to a variety of audiences 

• Excellent written and oral communication and client care skills, including a confident phone manner and an ability to produce inspiring content to motivate volunteers and staff.

As an Area Manager you will give leadership, direction and guidance to the staff of Medaille Trust to ensure the provision and development of a high quality service in line with the Trust’s Mission, Values and Strategy.

You will have a good understanding of the CQC framework relating to Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.  You will carry out quarterly assurance audits in all safe houses ensuring any appropriate action is taken where necessary.

You will line manage, induct, mentor, coach and support Service Managers.  Additionally, you will ensure that any complaints, grievances and disciplinaries are investigated and responded to in an effective and timely manner in line with Medaille Policies.

Although the post is home based, the post holder will be expected to travel frequently to our safe houses within the South and London areas with some overnight stays.

You must have previous experience in a relevant sector or experience of working with adults that are vulnerable.  Experience of managing staff, carrying out line management, supervision and appraisals is essential.  Additionally, you must have experience of setting up Service User Engagement groups.

Based within the Development Team you will look to identify funding opportunities to secure funds to ensure the Hospice successfully achieves its objectives and development plan. Salford Family Partnership Hubs are places within local communities across Salford offering services and support for children, young people and families.

Salford is a trailblazer area and will become the national leader for the Family Hubs and Start for Life Programmes, making the quickest improvements to services and sharing learning and best practices with all local authorities in the country.

Salford CVS has been working with Salford City Council’s Early Help Team on the first and second years of the Family Hub work. Our role has been consulting with communities through the Seeds of Change Box and Wishing Tree project, engaging Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector organisations and volunteers. We also manage a Family Hub small grants scheme providing small grants to VCSE organisations to support them in delivering their services as part of the Family Hub partnership.

We are seeking two dedicated Family Hub Navigators to work across the city of Salford to improve the wellbeing of parents and carers in the following cohorts:

• Young parents

• Families (communities of identity)

The Navigators will work with individuals to explore ‘what matters to them’, consider their strengths and interests, and identify an appropriate activity or service and connect them to it. About the role:

As Programme Manager for 'Our Business', you will be responsible for managing the ‘Our Business' programme from inception to completion and acting as the primary contact between the organisation and our partners at Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and beyond.

The organisation has been tasked by GMCA to deliver the first phase of the ‘Our Business’ project and that’s where you come in. We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead this important and exciting project.

Key responsibilities include:

• To lead the planning, design, delivery, and evaluation of the Our Business project, ensuring successful completion and delivery of the agreed project outcomes.
• To monitor and evaluate the project, delivering analysis and reports as necessary and complying with all GMCA reporting requirements, including using the GMCA’s GMIT system and ensuring that the programme achieves and reports on meeting its stated target outputs and outcomes.
• To support the set-up of the Our Business co-operative, ensuring that it is delivered in line with the requirements of co-operative governance and Values and Principles.
• To identify and secure a variety of funding mechanisms to support Our Business as a sustainable and independent co-operative beyond the life of the project.
• To form strategic relationships with large infrastructure bodies, recruiting them into membership of the Our Business co-operative.
• To complete the Social Value Portal reporting in line with GMCA’s requirements, ensuring that the social value targets for the programme are met.

We currently have an opportunity for an Environmental Compliance Manager within our National Environment & Climate Action Team within the Strategy & Impact Directorate. The S&I directorate analyses current and emerging policy and sets the Trust’s strategy and standards for regional delivery across all the Trust’s activities. The Environment and Climate action team is responsible for delivering the Trust’s strategy and policy on all environment and climate related sustainability issues, including environmental compliance as a minimum and achieving biodiversity net gain.

Reporting to the Head of Environment and Climate action, the Environmental Management and Compliance manager role will be responsible for the Trust’s Environmental Management System and its associated policies, commitments, and standards, linked to the Trusts evolving sustainability and organisational strategies. The role will require establishing good relationships with other teams in the Trust to drive sound environmental practice from our operations and 3rd party activities.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for, and day-to-day management of the Trust’s environmental management system
• Deliver a programme of activities and updates to environmental standards, guidance and tools, ensuring that these are delivered on time and within budget. This forms part of a system refresh that will be delivered this financial year.
• Work with internal technical experts and the Trust’s legal team to ensure that the standards meet regulatory requirements.

• Experience of administering environmental management systems, including a good understanding of ISO14000 family of environmental standards.

The role will be home-based, with the expectation to attend main regional hubs either at Milton Keynes, Birmingham, or Little Venice (Paddington), for collaborative working. This is a national role, requiring collaboration with teams in all six of the Trust’s regions. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will be able travel to attend meetings or fieldwork throughout the regional waterway network.

Why Access Social Care Exists 

Everyday millions of older and disabled people are denied the social care they need. Most local authorities can’t meet the growing demand for care, none are confident they can meet their legal duties in the future. This affects all of us, we will all need social care at some point. 

We all have a right to hold public bodies to account. But most of us cannot afford lawyers so rely on legal aid. The 77% drop in community care legal aid cases since 2010 means we have nowhere to turn. Without access to justice, our rights do not exist. The rule of law is broken. 

What we do 

Access Social Care provides free legal advice and information for people with social care needs, helping achieve a better quality of life. We work with communities to increase knowledge of the law and our rights. We highlight the gap left by cuts to Legal Aid and provide advice for those who can’t afford it. 
With a 98% success rate, our network of lawyers and barristers ensure fair access to justice when things go wrong. We collaborate with social services whilst ensuring legal obligations are met. We are working towards a future where social care is adequately funded, and we all get the support we need. 

About the role 

This is an exciting time to join our organisation. We have a new strategy and are growing quickly including across our senior leadership team. We have nearly tripled in size and income since we started operating in April 2020 and we anticipate that this strong growth will continue for the duration of our next strategic period. 

We are looking for someone with excellent people skills to play a key role in developing and piloting an approach to support people to engage with and use our on-line Social Care early legal help tool. Initially, this project will be focused on how to support carers who have multiple barriers to accessing the support they and the person they care for need.

We want to pilot a network of Peer Navigators who will act as an interface between the tool and people who are most underserved by social care and advice services and experience intersectionality of barriers. The role would particularly suit someone who has experience of the social care system as a family carer or disabled person and/or someone who has experienced barriers to accessing services due to other protected characteristics. 

The role is new and will initially focus on working within our place-based Hubs of Croydon and Gloucestershire. The role will require a creative person who can work in partnership with other members of the team, people with lived experience of social care support and social care organisations.  They will need to develop a set of policies and procedures for the delivery of the project and recruit, train and supervise the Peer Navigators.

To be a success in this role, you should be an excellent team worker, communicator, proactive, flexible, excellent people skills, highly organised and able to meet deadlines. You should also have a thorough understanding of co-production.

Responsibilities 

• With Hubs manager, Hub team members and people with lived experience – refine the aims of the project and identify priorities 

• Develop and implement a project plan for delivery of the project 

• Develop a role description for the Peer Navigators 

• Identify and test different options for advertising and recruiting Peer Navigators 

• Train Peer Navigators in the Care Act and use of the chatbot 

• Develop guidance on how people can seek advice about their employment and benefit status in relation to fulfilling the role 

• Develop and run an appropriate supervision process to ensure good quality support is offered 

• Arrange further training as chatbot develops 

• Set up and run Peer Navigator team meetings to ensure they feel supported, and we learn from their experiences 

• Devise a monitoring and evaluation framework and set up proformas for peer navigators to capture outcomes
