About the role

You will join a team managing Galop’s specialist advocacy services, providing support to LGBT+ victims and survivors of abuse and violence in the UK, with a specialist focus on hate crime and hate-motivated abuse. You will work within the advocacy management team to deliver advice, support, and advocacy to thousands of LGBT+ victims and survivors of interpersonal abuse and violence each year.

You will manage a team of specialist advocates and triage workers providing needs-led support, information and advocacy to LGBT+ survivors of a range of violence and abuse. You will work with the Head of Advocacy and other advocacy managers to ensure that survivors have access to needs-led, timely support that is right for them, maintaining high quality, consistent support across our advocacy and one-to-one support, whether that is in-person or remote. 

You will have an in depth understanding of the spectrum of violence and abuse that LGBT+ people are subjected to, including the causes, impact and barriers to accessing services. You will use your expertise to represent Galop with key stakeholders, advocating for the needs of the community. 

You will also have management and oversight of the CATCH Partnership, a pan-London consortium of by-and-for hate crime support services, that cover all protected strands of hate crime across race, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation and transgender status. You will need to have excellent partner management skills and be able to lead and support a diverse range of organisations with an understanding of their specific needs and challenges. 

You will be responsible for ensuring that data collected about the service is collected consistently and use this to report to funders. You will develop and maintain relationships with funders and ensuring that the service is effectively demonstrating the different that it makes. CARIS Families is a small charity that supports homeless families living in hostel accommodation in Camden and Hackney.We run play and learning activities for children aged 0-16 from within 4 hostels in these boroughs, as well as a school holiday day trip programme and an Essentials Bank to ease family hardship.Our services for children aim to reduce the stress on children and parents of living in overcrowded, insecure accommodation, and to put back some of the vital childhood experiences that homeless accommodation deprives children of. 

We are currently looking for a trainee playworker who is looking to build a career working with children to join our dedicated frontline play team.You do not need to have any formal experience of playwork, but you do need to be passionate about working with children and supporting them to achieve their potential, and to be able to demonstrate this through previous work or volunteering experience.

Person Specification 

We are looking for someone at the start of their career (or a career-changer) who is: 

• Experienced in working or volunteering within a play-based setting, with children between the ages of 0-16.

• Enthusiastic about supporting children in their free play and facilitating adult-led activities that stretch and stimulate children in their development 

• Passionate about improving opportunities for disadvantaged children 

• Understanding of the varied needs of children and their families

Our client is a Christian charity who have been delivering support for vulnerable people since 1920. They provide specialist housing for women and young people experiencing homelessness, alongside residential care for older people, across the South and South West of England. They are now seeking an experienced Supported Housing Manager to oversee their small, specialist women’s homelessness service in Reigate (19 beds/medium-needs). Please note, this is initially an interim role for 4 months (with potential of extension), starting as soon as possible.

As Supported Housing Manager, you will support a small team of frontline staff in providing a high quality housing support service for vulnerable women. You will lead on ensuring that the project provides safe, trauma-informed, person-centred accommodation, overseeing the performance of the team, and ensuring quality assurance checks are completed and that improvements are identified and actioned. You will have responsibility for the oversight of all building maintenance and health and safety and will ensure that the service meets all regulatory and best practice requirements.

About the role

The Therapeutic Services Project Manager will lead on performance monitoring and reporting to funders ensuring robust data governance, GDPR compliance and to inform service delivery, development, survivor engagement and organisational performance. This role is critical to embedding a culture of data-driven decisionmaking, using performance monitoring to support high-quality service delivery in line with sector standards and quality assurance frameworks. The role will provide leadership on project implementation and delivery alongside the Head of Therapeutic Services.

The Therapeutic Services Project Manager will take ownership of concisely communicating our performance data to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure targets and contractual obligations are being met. About the role

Reporting in to the Campaigns Advisor, the Campaigns Officer will lead on the delivery of Christian Aid campaigns aimed at both movement building (through the development of supporters’ agency and ability to lead campaigns), and mobilisation (encouraging key audiences in the church and the wider to public to achieve strategic policy, legislative and culture change).

The post-holder will be develop and deliver high impact plans, tactics and activities that align with the strategies developed for campaigns, in relation to supporting churches and community groups (with a focus on Black Christians, Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches, and young adult Christians) and mobilising supporters to engage advocacy targets in political, private sector or in church environments.

Essential:

• Knowledge of campaigning, activism and organising methodologies and techniques: how to promote a campaign and mobilise a wide range of supporters to win campaigns.
• Proven project management skills.
• Experience of campaigning (preferably in a community or church-based context) and movement building including digital campaigning, resource-production, event management, writing and marketing.
• The ability to communicate complex messages creatively and effectively to diverse audiences through a range of different media.
• Experience of breaking down complex issues into engaging and accessible material, e.g. leaflets, flyers, posters, web content, e-actions and social networking tools.
• The ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
• The ability to lead workshops and facilitate training.
• Substantial experience of developing or supporting networks of activist groups.
• Demonstrable understanding of UK churches in their diversity and of the UK campaigning environment.

In this role, you will take a leading position within a dynamic mental health crisis and early‑intervention service, managing a diverse caseload while providing skilled de‑escalation, robust risk assessment and coordinated multi‑agency support. You will guide and empower service users to engage with community services, while also offering day‑to‑day leadership to Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers and volunteers, ensuring consistent, high‑quality practice. Acting as shift lead when required, you will make informed, real‑time decisions to maintain safe and effective service delivery. A key part of the role involves supporting student placements, contributing to learning plans and offering reflective supervision. You will work closely with the Service Manager and Area Manager to monitor performance, contribute to audits and quality reviews, and drive ongoing service development. You will also play an active role in recruitment, onboarding and volunteer integration, and represent the service in partnership forums, strengthening pathways with local crisis teams and community organisations to ensure continuity of care and smooth transitions for service users.

The Principal Academic and Inclusion Lead acts as a participant-centred professional to lead retention, belonging, and academic success initiatives on our programmes.
