Are you passionate about diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging and making a difference in the lives of children, young people and families facing cancer? We want more people to understand and connect with our work, and we’re looking for two volunteers to join the team.
By supporting us to develop internal engagement events that platform key inclusion and diversity awareness topics, you'll play a crucial role in building knowledge and confidence for the whole workforce, and support for our mission to fight childhood cancer. Your passion, lived experience, and strong organisation skills will make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
What you’ll be doing:
• Plan and deliver 3–4 virtual events each year – these could include speaker panels, lived experience sessions, or spotlight events on intersectionality.
• Create or source 3–5 blogs or stories annually that share diverse perspectives and real lived experiences. • Work closely with our staff networks and central DEIB team to make sure everything we do is aligned and makes an impact.
• Support communications and engagement by helping with intranet features, social posts, and short video snippets that bring our DEIB work to life.
• Take part in a short annual “pulse check” survey to help us understand community needs and gather feedback.
What skills or experience you’ll need :
• Passion for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, and creating an inclusive culture.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage others.
• Willingness to share ideas and collaborate across teams.
• We welcome lived experience of a protected characteristic • Comfortable working virtually and using digital tools.

A charity based in Croydon, Surrey, London, UK is looking for volunteer Charity Team Assistants; to volunteer 30 unpaid hours per week. The Charity serves a multi ethnic community especially people from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
- To assist GNDFuk's permanent instructors in finding and providing creative forms of engagement for both our youth and adult programmes.
- To assist in project and schedule planning including setting and clearing up 30 minutes before and after projects and events
- To assist in ensuring that activities are executed safely
- To assist in coordinating events and activities to encourage the objectives of GNDFuk
Person Specification:
- Someone enthusiastic and creative who is committed to working towards the achievements of the charities objectives.
- Knowledege of Black and ethnic minority tradition/culture is preferable however not essential.
- Experience is desirable.
This is a non-paid one year temporary position however accommodation and maintenance will be provided.

No Panic is a national charity at the frontline of accessible help for anxiety sufferers.
The No Panic Helpline is open 365 days a year between 10am and 10pm.
Those who call us can be struggling across a range of anxiety disorders: OCD; Panic Attacks; Phobias or General Anxiety Disorder.
We train our helpline volunteers to provide sufferers with all the information they need to begin the process of self-help recovery.
This is a remote volunteering opportunity where everything is done from home, including training, and there is never a need to attend elsewhere. This makes it the ideal opportunity for those with mobility or fitness issues.
Our volunteers work a 3-hour shift once a week.
Initial training is one evening a week for 8 weeks (for a small charge of £25 to cover costs), with backup support for the first 8 weeks on the helpline. There is continued support via bi-monthly support groups.

What is a Community Engagement Volunteer?
As a community engagement volunteer, you and your fellow branch members will create a range of activities to help spread the word about SSAFA within your community. We want to ensure that our Armed Forces community knows that SSAFA is here to help and that we need the public’s support to continue offering our services.
Why do we need you?
We’ve been supporting the Armed Forces community since 1885. Our clients come from all backgrounds and age groups and may have served in WW2 or in a more recent conflict like the Falklands or Afghanistan.
There are SSAFA branches throughout the UK and overseas who support local volunteers to deliver services to veterans, serving personnel and their families.
A varied programme of awareness raising also keeps the SSAFA profile high in the local community, so everyone knows who we are and how we can help.

- Community Connectors - Collaborating with the Community Engagement Manager to establish a local network, promote SSAFA's services, and respond to community opportunities such as gardening projects.
- Fundraising Heroes - Whether it’s rallying local businesses, organising events, or getting creative with unique fundraising ideas, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping SSAFA’s support going strong.
- Administrators - Are you detail-oriented and love keeping things organised? Assist with branch and event administration, manage schedules and branch calendars, and ensure everything runs smoothly currently being undertaken.

Would you like the opportunity to volunteer with a national charity raising awareness and funds for the thousands of people affected by dual sensory loss in the UK?
We are looking for friendly, outgoing people with good communication skills to join our Community Fundraising Team.
What we'd like you to do.....
You will use your enthusiasm, great interpersonal skills and independent working abilities to support our passionate team and to raise funds for Deafblind UK in your community. This could involve running a fundraising event like a pub quiz, manning a stall at an event, taking collections or putting up posters. Whatever your background, if you want to make a difference then we want to hear from you!
This is a flexible role that allows you to do as much or as little as you want to do and an opportunity to make good use of your own skills, have a go at new activities and gain knowledge of fundraising in the charity sector.
By sharing your skills and time, you will help us to reach and help more people living with sight and hearing loss.
We ensure all volunteers who join our team are well equipped to undertake any tasks and will provide training and supervision throughout your journey with us. Any specific training will be outlined within your onboarding and induction stages and then discussed at your reviews with your named lead contact.
All materials to support your role will be supplied by Deafblind UK, including a fundraising pack with ideas for raising money and all the information you might need. The Fundraising Team will also be on hand to provide ongoing support, advice, and guidance.
Deafblindness affects everyone in different ways. Some people might have mild sight and hearing loss whereas others can’t see or hear anything. It can be isolating and lonely and can lead to mental health issues - but it’s far more common than many people realise. Around 450,000 people are affected by sight and hearing loss in the UK.
